So today i went over to a friends house because we wanted to make Topokki.
It's a Korean food that you always see in their movies.
It's pretty much rice stick stuff in hot sauce.
Well, there were 4 of us there, but we didn't know how to make it.
So we looked up the instructions and split into 2 groups of 2.
xD Once we were done, my friend and i didn't want to taste it.
So i tasted it first..
And shockingly.. IT WAS DELICIOUS. xD :)

"...It's pretty much rice stick stuff in hot sauce...." Yes, garaetteok "... is a variety of tteok or Korean rice cake, formed into a long white cylinder shape. It is made by pounding steamed rice flour, made mostly from non-glutinous rice...." My father used to live in Korea. When I was young I had a Korean penpal. And years studying Korean martial arts. Did you put fish cakes in it? And did you make it really hot. What kind of vegetables did you use green onions and onions or carrots and cabbage?

My friends and I had no clue what kind of vegies to put in.
So we put green onions, cilantro, cabbage, and mushrooms.
And yes we put fish cakes in it. IT WAS SO DELICIOUS
It was Sweet and Spicy. :)

I am sure it did, lol! Been to a great Korean restaurant in NYC, with my older brother and Korean friends from California. Went back there again, took a Chef friend from the Waldorf Astoria. Both times I had such fun because "they" new so much about food.

I like kimchi
Love some kimchi! I like the bottles from the Asian food store. But I love it better when I make my own kimchi. Ever try making it or do you buy yours?

As someone who lived in South Korea for a year (not in the military), I love just about all Korean food. I loved picking up that dish from street vendors.
