His characters are hysterical
Good lucky have fun!!

Haven't watched Expandables 2 yet... bought it last weekend.
I'm sure we're going to love it... we loved the first one.. despite our former Governor.
-

-
We saw FLIGHT when we were visiting our son.
Denzel Washington is one of my favorite actors.

I agree! Tyler Perry is totally funny! What happened with your former Governor?

I would be confused, too. I did see the first two movies, but daughter wants me to see the last one with her.

We saw FLIGHT when we were visiting our son.
Denzel Washington is one of my favorite actors.
I went and looked at the plot for that - it definitely looks like an "edge of the seat" movie. I like him, too. I just watched an older movie, from 2004, with him and Dakota Fanning - called "Man on Fire."
-
Not a movie but a mini series from the 80's called Lonesome Dove about cowboys really good.Has Tommy Lee Jones watched it ondemand.

I remember that! It's been a long time since I've seen that. Tommy Lee Jones is one of my favorite actors.

I went to see the last part of the twight light movie saga and it was pretty good, it had romance, action, and corny stuff in it
-
I watched Get Shorty the other night, was pretty good. I don't know where the title came from I don't remember if there was anyone in there named Shorty.
-
My husband and I are planning to see Flight tonight. Glad to see the positive reviews here. Also looking forward to seeing Lincoln, heard that was really good. If you are looking for a light-hearted middle aged love story go see "Hope Springs". If you are in a long term relationship you will really appreciate this movie. Also saw Alex Cross recently, if you like thrillers this should fit the bill.
-
I have just seen Skyfall, the new James Bond Movie and Lincoln. Both very different, but both good movies. However, Sean Connery is the real James Bond and he was really the best Bond.
-
Just watched The Raven. It wasn't to bad for a thriller.
-
I watched Rise of the Guardians and Silver Linings Playbook this past weekend and both were great!
Rise of the Guardians is more aimed towards kids though, and it's kinda like an Avengers for young people, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. And Silver Linings Playbook was so cute and funny you can't not like it! or maybe i'm just too big a fan of Jennifer Lawrence.
-
I would suggest seeing Skyfall. Critics say it's the best Bond movie. I really liked it.
-
We recently saw Madea's Witness Protection on pay per view. Tyler Perry has class. And, went to movies to see Taken 2. Want to see Skyfall and Cloud Atlas. :star:
-
Been watching a lot on Netflix lately. I love anything Tyler Perry also. Big Happy Family was good. Also I recently watched Lost in Translation. I don't know why exactly cause it was a weird movie, but I loved it.
-
A recently watched a movie called "The difference between cats and dogs" with Uma Therma (sp), it was pretty cheesy and predictable, but cute.
-
We are looking for the Men In Black III on DVD to watch.
-
Just watched the Amazing Spiderman the other night. Not bad.
-
I just saw Twilight Breaking Dawn part 2 with my girlfriend last weekend. I thought it was pretty interesting. I'm no die hard fan of Twilight whatsoever but it was still enjoying to watch. Out of all of the Twilight movies, this one was the best because it had much more action. I find action essential in any movie ;D.

I enjoy reading James Patterson's Alex Cross - I think I'd like to go see the movie you mentioned.

Silver Linings Playbook sounds like one I'd like to see. Thanks for the reviews on both of those!

Just watched The Raven. It wasn't to bad for a thriller.
I'm always up for a good thriller!
-
I would suggest seeing Skyfall. Critics say it's the best Bond movie. I really liked it.
My son (grown) said he would like to invite me to go see it with him. He's a James Bond buff!
-

Those Madea movies are hilarious! I haven't seen Taken 2 nor Skyfall yet. Cloud Atlas spans generations of history with certain people, doesn't it?
-

I haven't heard of that one and looked it up - thanks for the recommendation!

I have Netflix and love it! Lost in Translation sounds good - I want to watch that one. I always enjoy watching Madea!
-
We are looking for the Men In Black III on DVD to watch.
Now that is one I definitely want to see, too!
-
Just watched the Amazing Spiderman the other night. Not bad.
I didn't think I'd like it, but it really wasn't that bad. Thanks! :)

Thanks, everyone, so far! There have been some great suggestions and I have a lot to watch, now! Keep them coming! :)
-
Haven't seen any lately, I'm busy with my kids.
-
Haven't seen any lately, I'm busy with my kids.
I can totally understand that! My kids are grown now, but I rarely saw tv or movies when they were little. Except for Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock, etc. Then when they got older, we had Friday Family Nights with age appropriate movies, popcorn, games, etc. I would take them once in awhile to the movies - we had the Dollar Theater - that's all we could afford.
-
Really nothing I'd recommend running out and seeing right now. Then again, I'm kinda critical about movies since most of the time they seem to be just the same thing over and over again. I want to see Argo and Life of Pi, but I doubt I'll see them anytime soon.
-
I rented Magic Mike on pay per view...it was the best movie I've seen since Bridesmaids.
-
The last movie I saw in the theaters was Breaking Dawn part 2. I loved it!
-
I took my daughter to see Wreck It Ralph a few weeks ago, and am currently watching Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
-
If you like history, Lincoln was fantastic. If not, you will be like my 13 year old who was bored senseless.
-
I went to see Rise of the Guardians and I really enjoyed it. I look forward to seeing it again on dvd.
-
Thanks for all of the tips and recommendations and ones to avoid! :)
-
Just watched the Amazing Spiderman the other night. Not bad.
I didn't think I'd like it, but it really wasn't that bad. Thanks! :)
Huh!! I didn't like the movie The Amazing Spiderman. I much perfer the older 3 Spider-mans with Tobey McGuire and Kirsten Dunst. Andrew Garfield in my opinion acted too cocky and made Spiderman look bad. Spiderman was all about being humble and taking responsibility in the first 3 movies. I missed Mary Jane too. Peter and Mary Jane made a great love story.
Well, to answer your question~ Last night I watched the movie Lawless. It was excellent. Very compelling story, which is true by the way and I loved seeing Shia LaBeouf. He was such eye candy....lol. :o  Anyways it's set in the Great Depression-era Franklin County, Virginia, and a bootlegging gang (the true story of the 3 Bondurant brothers) is threatened by a new deputy and other authorities who want a cut of their profits. I really liked it! Great movie! I recommend watching it. It just came out yesterday for sale and rental.
:peace: ~workmama~

Thank you! I had wondered about Lawless when it first came out, but never went to watch it. The story-line definitely is intriguing and suspenseful. I'll see if it has come to Netflix or Hulu. :)
-
I watched Cabin in the Woods on DVD the other day. Interesting movie.
-
My husband and I love watching movies. I really want to see Lincoln.
-
I recently bought Brave and Paranorman, and I truly enjoyed them both. I can enjoy a perfectly gorgeous CGI like Pixar's Brave, as well as the not so visually gorgeous, yet equally mesmerizing stop-motion animation like Paranorman. These are films that can be enjoyed by persons from all ages, but the little ones will definitely be thrilled.
-
i saw the grey a couple months ago, it was great, and i recently saw brave with my grandkids..they loved it
-
I watched JFK on NOvember 22nd, as it was the anniversary of his death. Other than that, haven't watched anything in quite some time.
-
last one i saw was mirror mirror on Netflix and it could have been better in my opinion.
-
Husband got James Bond collection, so we have been watching them.

-
Tyle Perry ;Why we got married II, it was crazy, fun and took me off guard how it was reverse in the character that was played.
-
I think we are going to go see flight on my husbands birthday.
-
I saw Lincoln. It was amazing. Definitely a must for anyone interested in a good historical drama. I want to see Life of Pi next.
-
I'm not really into these movies that are made today. I'm into the old Humprhey Bogarts and James Cagney type films.

So are my hubby and father-in-law. Also, my hubby likes the Dirty Harry movies, too.
-
;D A couple of nights ago my sons and I watched "Lady in the Water" by M. Night Shyamalan. We all thought it was awesome. He is a very creative and interesting person in his writings and his direction and he actually played a part in this movie as well.
-
The last movie I saw Skyfall. I wanted to see Lincoln but my hubby doesn't want to so I'll just wait for it to come on Netflix or something. Was thinking about Life of Pi tonight but it's showing kinda late. Maybe next time.
-

The last movie at a movie theater would be Breaking Dawn Part 2. It was good especially the fight scene.
-
Thanks very much! There are some neat things to watch!
-
I saw Skyfall last week.I've never really been what you'd call a die-hard Bond fan,but I really enjoyed it..I'm really digging Craig as Bond. The film wasn't quite what I expected, especially in the second half. The action was top notch, and the villain was very entertaining as well.Good stuff.I give it 4/5. :star: :star: :star: :star:

HI,

-

My husband and I watched Safety Not Guaranteed last night. It was so fantastic. Here's the trailer

-
Just watched Batman Rises. Obviously you can't heal yourself the way he did, but overall it was a good conclusion to the trilogy of movies.
-
My son wants to go see Life of Pi today. I am not sure about the story, seems far fetched but I guess people say it was a good book. I think the visual will be good. We will probably see it in 3D although I hate paying extra for that.
-
I watched .... The Exotic Marigold Hotel... last nite... what a Hoot. Enjoyed it very much.
-
I saw Sky fall with my kids...the James Bond flick and thought it was okay-not one of the better Bond movies. I went to see the last Twilight movie with my daughter and thoroughly enjoyed it (I got her the first three movies for a Christmas present). I am going out to see a movie this evening with my wife but am unsure as to what to go see. She wants to see Denzel Washington's latest movie...flight? I am not sold on that idea. I can hardly wait until Les Miserables comes out at Christmas...my whole family is excited to see that one. My wife actually surprised me watching Predator last night...guess the Old Girl still has some surprises left in her!
-
I rented Men In Black 3 recently. It was pretty good.

I recently watched 21 Jump Street on t.v. I hadn't seen it before. It was okay, there were a couple parts that really made me laugh though. I also recently saw Step Up Revolution. There were a few cool dances, but I wasn't really all that in to it. I watched The Polar Express (again) the other day. :D

We're going to watch The Polar Express this week. :)

I started watching the Japanese version of One Missed Call, Chakusin Ari...and like, I suck at horror movies, so I watched the beginning, heard the little music, and ran away from my computer. But HEY, I'm sure it's really good though.
I also watched Cyberbully with a friend online, and it was AMAZING. Definitely a worthwhile watch. Made me cry though ._.

My daughter and I watched Cyberbully recently, and I agree, it was a good movie to watch; sad, too...
-
I recently rented Stolen from redbox and I thought it was pretty good since Nicolas Cage plays in it.
-
I been a busy beaver and seen several newer movies lately! Most recently Playing For Keeps-Not GButlers best work but it gave me a romance w/sports fix. Also Pitch Perfect-Its sure worth seeing but Fat Amy wasn't as funny as I had thought she would be per the commercials but I still laughed a bit! Also Breaking Dawn part 2- didn't disappoint me but I believe the books are so much better! 50/50 was sad for anyone that recently lost someone they love but it is a most wonderful movie, very heart felt!! Any who I hope to see Lincoln next!
-
In the theater I went to see the last installment of the Twilight movies with my 18 year old daughter and niece. We have seen all of them and do have the first four DVD's. (Can't wait for this one to come out!!!) But I did just see an old Dakota Fanning movie myself on TV. It was called Dreamer. It's about a Race horse that becomes her horse and don't think it will ever race again after an accident but the horse beats the odds.
-
nothing special,,im wanting to see ted,, :dog:
-
Hi,
The last movie that I saw was called "Twilight Breaking Dawn, Part 2" and it was so, so, soooooo  good! My daughter got me turned on to the Twilight saga and I am glad she did. Now I am a "Mom Twi-hard" as the young people call it, KUDOS, Stephanie Myers!!!
-
I just finished 'Elizabethtown' and I loved it! What can't be great with Susan Sarandon, Orlando Bloom, Jessica Biel and Kirstin Dunst! And a few others that were awesome, including several scenes with Paula Dean, most were cooking but really wouldn't it be odd to not have her at a stove or in a kitchen a bit?! One of my son's is stationed near there and it was quite wonderful to follow around with, and the road trip...I tell ya if you like a bit of comedy, drama and even romance you will truly love this film. I might have to watch again! lol

I have enjoyed reading all of your movie reviews - thank you!
-
I just saw the Hobbit in 3D it was pretty awesome I can't wait for the rest to come out!!!!
-
"Guilt trip with Barbara Striesand is a good bet. The reviews look awesome!. It is a light comedy about a 40ish son who goes on a short road trip with his 60 something mother, who by all accounts is a real firecracker. I saw the previews when I was at the movies, and it did look really good.
-
I watched Total Recall 2012 today.
If you are looking for an action packed movie, this one is for you.
-
I just saw the Hobbit in 3D it was pretty awesome I can't wait for the rest to come out!!!!
I do want to see this one for sure! :)
-
There are so many, it's hard to choose where to start first, lol!
-
We the watching "the king's speech" yesterday. It is such a great movie. I am looking forward to Les Miserables though, hope to go this weekend
-
Hope Springs which was ok. Would like to see Flight after reading the recommendations here.
-
I don't go to many movies, but "This is 40" looks hilarious. I may not be able to wait for the DVD. The last movie I saw in a theatre was the first "Sex and the City" in 2008!
-
I just seen Les Misérables, it was awsome! I highly recommend it.
-
I saw the movie Doubt recently, I highly recommend it. It was a really amazing story, though I don't think I really saw a protagonist in it. It definitely kept me guessing.
-
I just saw The Hobbit, Jack Reacher and Parental Guidance. They were all pretty good movies. Parental Guidance was cute.
-
I just got done watching a happy event, but i dont recommend it.
-
In the past few weeks, I have seen Life of Pi (very good though I haven't read the book to compare it), Silver Lining Playbook (okay, just thought they romanticized the mental illness of the protagonists too much), Cirque du Soleil (amazing to see in 3D), and Django Unchained (I enjoyed it, but it is a Quentin Tarantino film so lots of violence and profanity-if that bothers you, avoid it).
My boyfriend and I also rented Moonrise Kingdom (quirky and odd, visually lovely), King's Speech (more interesting than I thought it would be and I now understand why it got Best Picture), and Up in the Air. We'd seen the last when it came out in the theaters and we watched the deleted scenes. Usually, I understand why they leave them out of a film, but I think they should have left a lot of these in because it made Nick Clooney's character a lot more sympathetic and a lot less of a jerk.
-

While I haven't seen Skyfall yet, I am a great fan of the James Bond movies in general, and I have to agree that Sean Connery was, is, and always will be the one true Bond. No one else ever came close. That might be a good topic to start here since there have been so many!

I watched the movie "chopping mall" yesterday. good 80's horror movie
