I have a cat who acts like a dog a lot, which is really weird... He likes sniffing around, he likes biting and eating my shoes, he should've been born a dog, but he;'s a cat.
Which do you guys prefer? Cats or dogs? And why? :)

Definitely cats. Indoor cats never have to be walked outside. ;D ;D ;D

I prefer dogs :dog:, but I like cats :cat: more. :confused1: Since I have an allergy to cats I only visit them. All is good now since I have a fish. :fish:

I prefer dogs of course.... After all they are Mans best friend... I love to run with my dogs, especially on the beach. My kids love the dog too. I think that the dog help my kids to learn more about the importants of animals.

I have both a cat and dog, I love my dog and cat(but HATE changing the litter box!!!!!)

i prefer dogs over cats--i just seem to have more fun out of dogs teaching them tricks and things--i have had cats in the past but i enjoy my doggies now more!

Well, I've had both cats and dogs and each is unique in their own right. Dogs are protective and loving and some even though they are over 100 lbs. think they are lap dogs!!!! Cats on the other hand have their own temperaments. They can be loving or, if like my girl kitty, can turn on you whenever the mood strikes her. One thing is for sure, each species keeps us company, helps us when we're down, makes us laugh and just makes a house a home!!!!!! :thumbsup:

I prefer dogs because I never liked cats...they scratch. I enjoy having more fun with dogs, they are the cutest.

I prefer dogs when I need a best friend...I prefer cats when I need my space...but lucky to be someone who's able to prefer them both.

I prefer dogs as well to me they are easier to train over cats [In my case] =P

Kitties, but mine thinks he is a dog, because he carries around his toy in his mouth, tries to bury it under the rug, and plays fetch.

I prefer cats. No outdoor walks and no barking. But dogs are sweet too. I used to have one myself.

Cats for sure...marvelous creatures! So different from dogs..born killers (of small critters) yet sweet purring lap animals, too. A cat who lives in the house and is never allowed out ( for his own safety) is way different than an outdoor cat. Of course responsible pet ownership requires spaying or neutering. It helps the animal and society to do this..too many reproduced cats and dogs get euthanized, and then ground up for commercial cattle feed ( disgusting)

I am a lap dog kinda girl! I have had a couple of cats in the past, just couldn't bond with them the way you do a dog. :wave:

We're cat people. We have one at home who came from the shelter and we volunteer at the same shelter. It's like having multiple cats without a cat horder ;D They are all so different and fun!

I think cats are easier to train. Put a box of sand in front of them and they are "good to go". Simple, couldn't be easier.

I prefer dogs cause they are a little more social. I've seen cats where they pretty much hold up in their own area of the house and won't even let you pet them. Whereas most dogs will come when called and adore being petted. I'd rather have an animal that reacts to me then just expect me to provide food and that's it.

I prefer dogs, they can always tell if your happy or sad. The love you unconditionally, and are always happy to see you.

Cats are typically cleaner, but dogs are often more fun to do things with outdoors. I think it depends on the person.

Dogs. I have a dog and won't even bother getting a cat. I feel cats are lazy and dogs are energetic all the time. I like my weird and active doggy :)

Dogs. Cats have one purpose. They are safer than cars for dogs to chase.

We have two cats that we have had a long time that live with my brother and I all the time. My mother has a 3yr old shih tzu that spends the night with us sometimes lol that we share custody of ha ha so I don't prefer one or the other

I know cats are easy to potty train, but I don't like the kitty litter, they are cute and mysterious. I don't like them seem as though they get all over everything, I saw a cat get on top of my friend's stove and started eating. I like dogs, you have to take care of them a lot by walking them, taking them outside to do their business, and they just sleep most of the time playtime is either or. I prefer dogs. :peace:

I have eight cats.just love the way each one has there own personalty/and they dont live to please you like a dog and they have simler thinking prosess like we do(dogs dont) :thumbsup:

I like dogs mainly because I'm not allergic to them. If I wasn't allergic I would probably have a cat.

Awe! Your cat sounds absolutely adorable and reminds me of a cat I had as a child. I personally have grown rather allergic to cats so I do prefer dogs but I absolutely love cats.

I have to say i love my cats! I have always been a cat lover. I hope my baby girl grows up to love cats like me. Dont get me wrong i like dogs, but i refer cats over dogs.

I am more of a cat person than a dog person. They are more self caring as well

Cats are easier to take care of litter, water, food then you can be gone for a day or 2.

I've had both for pets, but I prefer cats. One of my funniest cats behaved kind of like a dog though. She used to eat chili-cheese Fritos (and only chili-cheese) so whenever we opened a chip bag she came running from clear across the house. If the chips were not her particular brand of Fritos she would just up and walk away. It was absolutely adorable. :) We named her Spooky because she had a ghostly face on her back and was just... strange. :)

I prefer cats. I had a black cat named midnight who disappeared one day. My daughter's answer to grief is to replace the lost cat with a new one. That is what we did. Now I have one cat and she has two.

I think I'm more of a dog person. I used to have both. I think a cat owns you and you own a dog. It is so good to come home and have a happy tail-wagging dog welcoming you! :dog: :cat:

I have had some really cool cats! But I LOVE dogs. There is just something about a dog. They are so sweet and so pure spirited. We have a sweet little Jack Russell that is just like a person. He is very sensitive too. He doesn't like it when anyone is upset. I can look into his eyes and know just what he is thinking. Anyone that knows him knows that he talks with his little eyes. He is 9 years old this year and I dread the day that we have to say good bye to him. I'm glad that all dogs go to heaven! :heart:

I prefer dogs over cats. It is just a personal opinion, but I think dogs are more loving and cats are a tad selfish.

We have two LabberDanes, and one cat.. the cat thinks he's one of the dogs.. :wave:

Dogs. Definitely dogs. Both can be a big hassle though, even more so when they're young. I really like cats too, but I prefer the canines. I'd like to have a Ragdoll cat someday though. :)
