I love shopping both online and instore, and I prefer Kohls, because they have the 15% to 30% discounts throughout the year, and occasionally during select times you also get the $10 Kohl's cash for every $50 spent.

I love Target's merchandise...They have the best sweaters, hats, and scarves. In my opinion...Its just a fun store to shop. :)

I've been to both Kohl's and JC Penny and for me I prefer Penny's. Kohl's is just usually too messy and the staff there is not helpful at all; nor do they try to straighten any of the messed up clothing. While I understand it will only get messed up again - I still think it's their job to make sure it always looks as good as it can for the next shopper. In Penny's I never find a messy array of clothing - even their "sale" items are neat!!! So I have to say for me I just can't stand the messiness and Penny's is the way to go!!!!

I love Kohls and used to love JCPenney. JCPenney has made some new drastic changes to the store and I don't even recognize it anymore. It may be able to attract new customers, but I know that long time fans of JCPenney (speaking for other past fans that have shared with me) are not enjoying the changes and are not returning. The only sales they continue to have are ones they brought back on Black Friday after customer complaints. I hope they get the picture and get their act together. Just my personal opinion. Still enjoy Kohls.

I really like Kohls a little more than JC Penney. It has more very good sales and discounts and when you shop well you get $10 buck for every 50 you spend. It help let me tell you. :)

now, i LOVE kohl's home decor. that's the only thing
they have above penney's in my opinion.
price wise? kohl's is a joke. their "sales" are gimmicks
and a bargain shopper KNOWS their gimmicks when they
see 'em. mm-hm...

p.s. - not saying that there are not great deals to be
had at kohl's! their clearance racks are wonderful.
i'm talking about how they try to convince you that
the original price was $80 for a sweater but they're
giving it to you for 50% off at $40.
...yes, gimmick.

I too enjoy shopping Kohls over JC pennys but like all shopping events you just gotta watch what your spending and shop around for the best deal.

I feel like I can find things I actually think are nice at JC Penney than at Kohls and I do like some of their promotions better. Their latest "button" tactic might even attract me more. Kohls is okay, but I think they're pretty decent too during the special sales. But I have had mixed feelings - particular the unappealing kid's clothes.

Kohl's - I can get everything I want there, although I think JC Penney is improving. Not sure I agree that they call themselves JCP now.

I like Kohl`s,or Burlington they lot have to choose for clothing, My sister and I shopped there last week, we got a couple of nice long skirt, its really nice and a good deal too.

I prefer Kohls because they seem to have better sales and discounts.

I don't really care for either one. I really like target i think there is more of a selection and better quality. The weekly sales are good too :wave: :peace:

The changes JC Penney has made has really hurt it. I hear they are changing things up and going back to the old way. That will improve it.

I like Kohl's better than JC Penny. Kohl's has better sales. Also there are more of them around me so they are easier to get to.

Both are easy to get to in my area. But I like JC Penny better. They have more to choose from the kind of clothes I like, and they have a bigger home furnishings department.

I love Kohls. I love the sales, the 15 to 30% off, and the $10.00 back offers. I have found their merchandise to be good quality.

I can usually find what I'm looking for at Kohl's --- and I love getting the 30% off coupon! I stock up on staples then -- socks, undies, etc.
I agree that the changes JCP made hurt them. I like sales and I think most people do. Even though they supposedly "Guaranteed" the best price, JCP would still put items on sale === I picked up a bunch of summer tops for $5 each at the end of last summer. So their "guaranteed" best price wasn't really true. I hope Penney's improves now that they are going back to their old ways.

Kohls but by default. They're close to me. I don't even know where there's a JC Penny near me. I go to Kohls when I need to buy the basics and have one of their coupons.

I like them both but it seems like Kohl's has more discount offers.

I like JC Penney. The store is clean and organized. I don't fall for that 80% off at Kohls. One time I purchased some clothing and house things at Kohls. I paid like $35.00 and my receipt said I saved $187.00. That's pure unadulterated bull----.

If those two were my only choices, I don't think I would shop. I don't like either one.
