Hey guys im currently a sophomore in high school and I was just wondering what was the hardest subject you took in high school? , because my 9th grade math class was a lot harder than the math class that I am taking right now. Im not sure if it gets harder or easier, I just kind of want a little heads up, I know that calculus is going to be pretty hard but not sure about the rest.

I have never been great at math, so I don't know if my opinion should count lol, but Algebra 2 got pretty hard for me. Chemistry relies a lot on Algebra, so it wasn't very easy for me either
-
Ugh, it was Algebra! I could not make sense of it at all!
-
I took Latin in HIgh School - there is no subject that is harder than that.
-
Lets just say my favorite was Lunch! ;D
But i really disliked Social Studies/government it was all boring and made me fall asleep!
-
Physics was the hardest subject for me when I was in school. I never liked the subject, but I think it was partly because of the teacher also.
-
I second what africanclaudie said regarding Algebra. lol. Math was always my weak spot in school.
Today though, there are so many excellent and free tutorial resources like Khan Academy that seems to help many students when they feel they are not understanding the material. I wish we had that when I was in school.

I wasn’t into taking Chemistry and Physics because I had no interest for science courses back then. Now as an adult, I have a better appreciation for technical science and don’t mind learning them.
-
Math was always my hardest subject. :-
-
math was the hardest for me and it got harder each year but thats my opinion plus i went to a small school in a town in tx that no one has heard lol but i had great teacher to help me with it ;D
-
My hardest subject when I was in school was Algebra. Regular math was not so hard for me.
-
I graduated in 1960 and my hardest supject was England. I am a whiz in math. I was also played the clarinet in the band for 6 years. I loved that so much. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and Happy New Year everyone and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.

I did not like English, but I love Math.
-
My hardest subject was English for certain. Mostly because I didn't learn until college that I was dyslexic. I just managed to cope by taking a lot longer to read the passages than my friends needed, and made sure I was the first to answer questions when we had to read in class (as I would only get through 2 of the 10 pages in the time they would give to read in class). Somehow managed to survive.
Loved Math and Sciences (particularly physics) - guess that's why I majored in them in college, and am now a computer programmer... :D
-
Well, if my memory serves me right, I had problems with both maths and Physics. I think it was more the fault of my teachers, for not having a good technique and patience to help me and others.
-
The hardest subject was social studies. The teacher did not know what he was talking about. He was also the football coach.
No disrespect to sport coaches/teacher.
-
Algebra was by far my worst subject, but any type of math was not my strength.
I loved English, Social Studies and History.
-
Never took it, and when I had math in school....it was a long time ago. Have fun!
-
Math I hate it. I hate i'm going to have to take some math courses when I go back to college but i want my degree so I have to do what I have to do.
-
When I was in school I would have to say science and Health. I was great at math always done first. I even had one teacher go to the proper channels to get me in a higher math course because they had me in basic math. I had a learning disability so they thought it was everything that I need help in. She was a sweet teacher finally after jr high in high school they put me in alergbra which I did great at I always excelled when it came to math. That is why I went on to trade school in accounting (finishing but didn't get a degree) In 2008 I went back to school at the Univercity of Phoenix and recieved my Associates degree in accounting.
-
Well, mine was American Government. I hated that class and no matter how much I studied, I would get D's or F's on the quizes and tests! lol
The only way I didn't fail that class was by having a boy in that class that had a crush on me tutored me. I also did extra credit, which sucked, but I got that boy's help.....haha! ;D
I had to go to prom with him too, that is all he wanted, so it was a win-win situation! lol ;)
:peace: ~workmama~

Science!!! I still hate it! Lol

I really liked school and the only class i had trouble with was U.S. history. Now most of it i liked until they got to my home state. (Now this was in Ohio) and i was from New Mexico. And she told us to skip that part as they wee not part of the U.S. and of course being a smart mouth i corrected her. and had to go to the office. Well we got it taken care of and lo and behold we were part of the us. The funny thing is she never liked me after that. Sure was glad when we moved back home.
-
My hardest subject in school, I would have to say was English, since it is not my first language. I still find it rather confusing.
-
My hardest subject in school was math (any area or field), I couldn't stand that subject! LOL! It was just so complicated at times, especially when it came to Algebra II in high school. I barely passed that class. I think if I were back in school I would do a lot better since I have more discipline.
-
trigonometry.I could not understand what the alphabet has to do with math.
-
I concur that Physics was the hardest for me, and I never understood why. I was extremely proficient at math, and never liked subjects like history and stuff, I was all about numbers. But Physics knocked me off my socks, specially Physics: Electricity.
-
Math is one subject that I didn't like.
-
I hated history. Didnt care about the past!!
-
The hardest subject for me in school was Spanish and History. Now I love History, and one day I hope to re-lean Spanish.
-

You and I are so much alike, hun... except I was born in 1960. I also loved math and played the clarinet. Thank you for the warm wishes, hope your weekend is going well and all the best to you and everyone for the New Year!

When I was in school the hardest subject for me was Statistics. I didn't dislike it but it was so hard to get the hang of it. I understand it much better now but it was not easy for me to get to that point. :)
-
Math was my hardest subject.
-
My hardest subject in school was regular math and history! I was great at alegbra and science and I was an expert in language and grammar skills lol. And I was always on top of my homework, but you couldn't get me to do a project to save my life! But believe it or not, math got really easy in high school! Its pretty much just repeating everything from middle school and a lil extra
-
Math was the hardest subject for me in high school. In college, it switched to English.
-
i would say a foreign language though i never had to take i try to learn spanish from friends and i struggle
-
It was English!! :(
-
When I went to school eons ago, I didn't pay attention and the algebra class was a nightmare!
-
To be completely honest, I had trouble with pretty much every subject. What made them easier was if I had a good teacher. The better the teacher, the less I seemed to struggle. I had a load of obstacles that kept me from being a better student my whole life, but I guess I managed to do enough to still get decent grades.
-
the hardest one i had was algebra II. just study hard, i'm sure you'll do fine!
-
I had a hard time with Algebra. Funny thing though, when I went to college, Algebra was a breeze for me...aced the course. Something must have clicked in my brain and I suddenly got it.
-
history,,it was hard for me :dog:

-
:'( math was my worst subject second was spanish.
-
Math was my hardest subject in High School. No matter how hard I tried and tried, just couldn't get it when it came to Algebra. I could only manage a D- and don't know how I even got that when all was
said and done! lol
-
Geometry. I only took the darn course to meet my college requirement.
-
When I was in high school, I had a really hard time with calculus. I'm currently in college now and I think the hardest class I've taken was philosophy. It's so confusing. Interesting, but difficult.
-
Math was extremely easy for me. (Probably because I'm asian :dontknow: ) English was probably the hardest for me, because in social studies or science, all you had to do was understand the material.
-
The worst for me was Algebra. I could never get my brain wrapped around the X and Y thing. Still can't.
-
Algebra was easy but trig and calc killed me
-
when i was in scool i had trouble with history and biology but i made it.
-
@randy489515 - English & Math were my worst classes until I was put on Adderall during my sophomore year and got my grades up from a D to A within weeks. Back when I was in grade school (what my generation used to call high school), junior year is always the hardest year even though I passed every class with an A- or better because of medication.

Math was the hardest subject but the hardest thing to deal with was some of the other kids. I didn't deal with that for long though because I ended up being homeschooled by my dad who was disabled. And I started college when I was 16.
-
I had to take a Government class that was a pain to do. I don't know if I'd consider it hard but it required a lot more work than my other classes so I thought it was hard. History classes were kinda difficult for me though I think that's cause I'm not good with dates. Really, it depends on what your interests are and what you are good at. I was really good at Math so I had no problem with any of my Math classes whereas some of my friends couldn't pass their Algebra classes.
