i am middle class so i was happy that the taxes will not get raised what about you
-
I would say low middle class. Me and my husband make about 30,000 a year, we both work about full time and no kids.
-
Low middle class here too. If I was rich I wouldn't even bother with Fusion Cash.
I am also happy that the taxes didn't get raised, but we aren't out of the woods yet. They only passed something because they HAD to.
-
more lower class
-
I consider myself middle class, I guess. Never really thought about it. I know I'm not poor, nor am I rich, but I consider myself rich because I have a wonderful family. Also, I always determine wealth based upon what you have achieved in your life and how much you are happy. I don't like to talk about money or class people based upon how much they have in dollar amounts, but I wouldn't mind being rich! Haha! ;D

It's my understanding that there is a 2% payroll tax that went into effect on the first which has nothing to do with the increased tax rates on the rich and will affect all workers. Additionally, I believe there are numerous taxes that will hit the middle class as part of Obamacare.
-
Middle Class. Hope the fiscal cliff does not effect my take hope pay.

We are middle class glad to avoid more taxes but i think the social security tax is going up.Just heard on tv that teachers don't pay social security taxes they rely on a pension didn't know that wonder if it's true.
-
U you are happy that they are taxing the rich . Okay so they tax the rich. They have less money to spend. So that what does that mean? They have less money! So they they don't have the money to hire some people who they was going to hire. Or they may have to lay off people to pay them extra taxes. That they were used to hire somebody or keep somebody working! Instead he you are given the money to all Obama to waste on his unemployed buddies that don't like to work and get welfare all the time!
-
My paycheck is about to decrease. Who knows what kind of taxes Obamacare is about to fall on us. They only people who have escaped this is the people who have unearned income.
-
The saying of taxing the rich would only lead to less jobs. How about when they were not being taxed so much and the recession hit, they did not provide many jobs then. The jobs was sent out of USA. The rich got richer and the poorer got poorer. I am poor I am not even close to middle class.
-
I always thought that I was middle class, but lately I think we have been referred to as the "working poor". lol I don't think we are poor, but according to others we are.
-
I am middle class but my family lives like we are rich! In either case the tax situation wouldn't have effected our household nor does it seem as if it ever will. Last year was a fairly good year from an income standpoint but everything that was disclosed was quickly spent and the expense limit seems to have been raised. It seems very hard to say no to the family...especially when I am off working all of the time. The smallest income source I have are the point to clicks and fusion cash as well as the accounts that this source has built and it seems that my family wants to get their hands on this small amount as well! When does the bleeding stop?!?
-
I always thought we were middle class, but after reading the posts, I think we are upper middle class.
-
the lowest of low class I work in retail and unless your a manager you live paycheck to paycheck :crybaby2:
-
I am not rich. I am not middle class. I have never been middle class. Technically, I am around the poverty line and it's horrible. I know people who are living on less than what I am, which would be pretty much nothing since I'm struggling to survive on next to nothing.
-
Well, technically, I make like absolutely nothing, but I don't work full time so that has something to do with it. So I'm nowhere close to rich. I think my family is middle class though but I don't really know since I never bothered asking about what my parents make.
-
I'm middle class economically, but rich when it comes to having lots of loved ones in my life...
I'm like you though... very happy taxes didn't go up!
-
Used to be middle class, but with the dollar not worth what it used to be, i would guess i am no longer in that category. If i didnt lose a third of my check to taxes, i would be middle class.
-
I used to think I was middle class, but when Romney was running, I was part of the 42 or 47% that was not working {I'm disabled} and he thinks I am a blight on America. I am not a blight, I just don't earn a lot of money... AND don't blame it on Obama, if Romney ran, there would have a blight on the American people...

Aw.....thank you!
-
I would say we were low middle class, but as long as we have enough for bills, groceries, and the other necessities, I will be satisfied. Yeh! taxes hurt and usually they cut into quite a bit of income, so I am happy they will stay the same for now.
-
middle class here not rich. Neither i am poor consider myself as working poor. Make less than 30,000 year.
-
I gues you would call us middle class, but we sure have to stretch our checks to make ends meet, and that is with hubby working part time at the schools as a sub teacher. We got a small raise in our ss. and then a larger raise on our medicare payments with less benifits, thanks to Obummercare.
I wish i could go back to work, but Dr.'s won't let me. But i am lucky that i know how to stretch a dime, and i can barter some things i make or sell to help out. Oh yeah i don't qualifiy for ssi at my age. Bummer.
-
Don't think that if you're a middle class, your taxes won't get raised. They will ! for one the payroll taxes expired and you will see it on your paycheck. Obama is a liar when it comes to middle class taxes.
-
At this point in my life, I would be happy with either. I am POOR!
-
I know I'm not anywhere near to being rich and I don't think I'm in the middle class since I make less than $10,000 a year. I work part-time as a courtesy clerk and I usually get 12hrs of work a week. Sometimes, 20hrs if I'm lucky. So, I look forward to doing my taxes because its the only time I get plenty of money to do whatever I want with it. I normally use it to do some mechanic work on my car and get stuff that I been putting off for the whole year because I never have the money to get it in the 1st place.
-
middle class
-
Wow, I am surprised by some of the answers.
I would think it certainly depends on where you live
how you would classify yourself by income.
$30k yearly in a rural community would not go very far in Chicago.
-
I don't know.. I know I make more than most but I still don't consider myself "middle class". :/
-
niether dirt poor
-
I consider myself the working poor.
-
yep taxing the rich will probably negatively affect jobs because after all they can't stop taking expensive vacations, eating out, buying iphones and nice cars or having the best to wear hey lets be fair, they have to save money somewhere if they have to pay more taxes.
-
I'm poor and No Class ;D
-
I consider my self rich and happy. The way I look at rich ,is how you feel about yourself inside and out. Regardless of what anybody else say, as long as I believe that I am RICH than I am!
-
I would say upper middle class. The payroll taxes will affect us however because everyone who pays SS is going to get a 2% increase in their deductions and who knows how much Obamacare is going to cost.
-
I guess I am middle class or maybe lower middle class.
-
id say im poor :( but makinig it
-
Sadly, I work full-time plus a part time business and I still only make just above the poverty line. :crybaby2:
-
i am middle class.,
-
I would use the following classificatonis for classes and ranges/descriptions:
Poor = Does not work or receive unemployment benefits, no large amount of savings available
Working Poor = working but only making minimum wage or slightly above
Working Class = working a blue-collar or service type job with at the max earning 2-3 times minimum wage
Middle Class = has a good paying job at least 2-3 times minimum wage, can save some money, buy some things, take a vacation. I think a lot of really woring class people group themselves in the midde class group.
Upper Middle Class = making a large salary near or abour $100,000 a year with benefits
Rich = making a very large salary of $250,000 a year or more
Ubber Rich = making several million a year
-
We used to be middle class but since he was forced to retire plant shutdown and i draw disability we r what you call retirement poor
-
I consider myself lower middle class in money, but rich in family and love we have for each other and in health.
-
Why is "poor" not an option? lol (I'm not poor, but just sayin'...) I don't think many "rich" people use this site. The earnings wouldn't even be peanuts to them...they'd be the shells or CRUMBS of the peanuts!
-
yup I am with the working class so I am happy that taxes won't increase.
-
I suppose I am middle class but I do have to watch my money carefully.
-
i am middle class so i was happy that the taxes will not get raised what about you
I would say that i am working class. : )
-
Definitely not rich but I don't know If I would consider myself middle class but we have a four generation going on in my household my mom, me, my daughter, and her daughter, we live rich though lol lots of love here
-
