Is your hair long or short? What do you prefer on your significant other? Long or short?

Well, I am a girl, I don't like long hair on guys, so I would have to say short, could be shoulder length if worn in the right way. My hair is shoulder length now, I had it long for years and years, and decided last year I was ready for a change. Interestingly enough, the girls I hang with liked it better when it was long. But, I have had lots more compliments from guys with it short. Go figure!!

I have medium hair I guess- shoulder length nut I want my hair long.... Considered getting hair extensions- if I do, it won't be until summer tho!!!!

mine is pretty short and im a girl about 3 to 4 inches below the ear i only have it short because i have the thickest hair possible so during the summers i almost get heat stroke so i just keep it short for my own sake

My hair is long, I like to keep it long. For guys, I guess it depends on the person. Nothing past the shoulder though.

For me it is more a liking to how it looks on each person. Some women look great with short hair and they style it well, while other women look lovely with longer hair. Again depending on how it is styled and up or down. It is the facial features for me that make the difference really. With men I prefer short but there are some great looking men who look so scrumptious with a nice pony tail and long hair. Again shape of face, structure etc all take part in my liking and lack there of.

Since I am very thin on top of my head, I prefer short hair. I cannot stand my hair long. And I agree, on a girl, I prefer long hair. On a guy, short hair.

I have short hair myself, but I have no preference as to the hair length of other guys. As to women I could like either way, but if I was given a preference I am particularly attracted to more lengthy hair.

I wear my hair as long as it'll grow. My mom kept it short and curly, the way she wanted hers to be, when I was a little kid, but around ten I started growing it out. I've cut it short a few times since then, but always grew it out again. I've always wanted Cher hair that was long, straight and black, but mine is brown and wavy.
I like long hair on girls. I also like long hair on guys, if it done right. The rock star look. I like the way special effects make-up artist Rick Baker looks. 8) :star:

I tend to wear my hair short but I have to admit I prefer the opposite sex to wear long hair.

I am bald on top, and my wonderul Lady is short, and I prefer it that way.. :thumbsup:

I'm bald, although I've had long hair in the past. I prefer the bald look though as it's low maintenance, and just getting ready for the eventual hair loss lol.

My hair has been really long in the past, but it is currently shoulder length. On my significant other I prefer it shorter, but it depends on the person. Some guys look fine with longer hair.

I keep my hair long in the back, but just cut the sides. The long hair helps keep my neck nice and warm, especially in the winter. In summer I just tie it back to keep cool.

My hair is shortish. I have tried to grow it longer a few times but always give up as I am too impatient.

Normally. I have long hair but my hair style length changes with the seasons. During the winter months I don't cut it because the more hair the warmer my scalp and neck feels. When the summer months come I normally cut my hair because it makes my entire head hot, it makes my scalp sweaty and the back of my neck itchy, W-I-E-R-D, :D isn't it ???

I have arm pit length hair so I would say I rather have long hair because I can swing it anyway I like. And I also have the option of different styles to do on long hair, but with short hair you can not do so much, With my significant other I rather they have short hair

I have long hair down to my hips at the moment, but I like both long or short hair on women. As for men, I prefer short hair.

I have rather long hair, but am also trying to grow it out more. On a guy, it depends. Even on girls it depends. Facial structure and personality definitely come into play when it comes to hair styles!

wow ;D the way i know, woman should have long hair and short for man. Now adays i sometimes thought that woman is a man.
Beauty of woman is their hair,i believed. I have long black hair and every time i let down, i always got complement a lot especially from

Mine is long and always pinned up or in a pony tail. As for men, I don't like it real long but shoulder length is alright.

I don't like long hair on a man, however hair length to the collar in men is ok if groomed properly. I have had long hair all my life. It is very difficult to take care of though and is a chore it keep it up but I like long hair but sometimes it is a headache. However to go get in done at a shop is very expensive due to the length. I have been complimented on it on occasion.

I've got long hair and I prefer my man to have shortish hair. I think it's much easier to have short hair, but when I mentioned having my hair cut short my husband freaked out. :dontknow:

Oh no guy has to have short hair and the ladies it doesn't matter but I think when they reach a certain age they should go a little shorter for the hairstyle it keeps them looking young my opinion only :peace:

I have never really had long hair, and on a man, I like wavy or short hair. I think the most horrible hairstyle is dreadlocks on a man; makes him look like it's bundled up and nappy. :) ;D

I keep it shoulder length or thereabouts. I like to have it long enough to pony it when I am in a hurry. I find that the older I get the less I want to fool with my hair, so I go for a "do" that is quick and easy. As to how I like my mans hair...that falls into my dating rules 1) Never go with a guy that makes less money than I do, 2) Never go with a guy whose *bleep* is narrower than mine, and 3) Never go with a guy whose hair is longer than mine ;D

I prefer short now as i age it is better. I like the wash and go and i don't like to mess with it, When i was a teenager it was below my waist. Oh was that a long time ago.

i like my long hair but it;s a pain sometimes coz the baby pulls on it and pukes in it and it gets all nappy and when it brush it out, it breaks. i would cut it but it doesnt grow that fast so 'm kinda stuck.

The length of the hair is unimportant but the style is what I lopk at whether long or short.

My hair is long but i like to put it up in the back/my husbands hair is short and thats the way i like it/i think he would look funny with long hair but if thats the way he wanted it so be it,i would never tell him how to cute his hair(i would still love him with long or short hair)

Both lol...I wish I could snap my fingers and go short to long whenever I wanted...Whenever I have long hair I want to cut it shorter and vice versa.

so none of it is touching my face.
Hubby.. I like him to have short short hair.
Though he is an OTR truck driver.. So he is only able to get a hair cut when he gets home.

Right now my hair is pretty short. Usually, I keep my hair about medium length but lately it's just been driving me nuts so I cut it shorter. As far as a significant other goes, I don't think I have a preference. However, depending on the actual individual would depend on whether I like their hair shorter or longer. The person I currently find myself attracted to, well one of them anyway, I'd prefer if they grew their hair out a bit because I think they would look so much better and a little younger (since their age seems to be an issue for them).

I have had short hair for a long time, so last year I started to grow it out to a longer style.
It has been quite a challenge!
Some days, I hate it and am ready to chop it off.

My hair is always long. I do love long hair on men. My husband is growing his out. His hair is very curly though so even though it is getting quite long is still looks rather short lol!

Since I've gotten older, I prefer my hair to be short; it makes me look much younger. But, I've really never had a desire for long hair; even when I was younger.

I like to keep my hair short. I use less shampoo because of this preference.

I wore my hair long for many years, then as I got older and felt I needed a new look I went to short hair, I love it!! So easy to manage, I just blow dry and use my fingers to style. Not only do I save on shampoo now but also all the styling tools that most people use.

Very few guys can pull off long hair and not look ugly with it. Likewise, women need to have the right face to rock short hair.

I love long hair on myself--occasionally, I wear extensions for the extra long look. My boyfriend looks good with short hair, but whenever he gets it cut, he gets it cut so short, I think it makes him look older than he is. A "buzz cut" is just not attractive on him. Luckily, it grows back fairly fast, but most of all I love him, so I look past the bad haircuts.

I think that long hair on bothe men and women is ultra chic. I think that, on men, it adds the element of uniqueness and being bad...just like wearing a two day stubble. On women it is very feminine and elegant. I wear my hair longer than most but only because I am too cheap to get a haircut and don't have a lot of time to get it done. Now that I am getting older my hair, although full, is starting to thin a little bit and I will probably have to resign myself to getting my hair cut shorter and shorter. I like my hair short because it is easier to control and keeps me cooler during the warmer, summer months...especially when I am excercising.

;D My hair falls below my waist - quite a bit below it. I have more or less had long hair my whole life and when I was fighting the losing battle with coloring it I had it shorter to make it easier to color and finally I said to heck with it and let it grow - unless I get to a place where I can't take care of it I will not cut it. I usually keep it in a long braid.

I could go either way. My hair has been ridiculously long and ridiculously short. On my husband, it really doesn't matter to me. I love his face, not his hair. :D But, I do like long hair.

I like long hair on women and on men if it is well groomed. I like guys hair if they keep it pulled back I used to offer to braid my male friends hair. I like long hair so you can s
change the syle and your look depending on your mood or activity. I was letting my hair grow so it could be donated to be used for wigs for cancer survivors. Unfortunatly I have met many women in need of wigs for this reason. Your hair has to be at least 7 inches long, not coloured.
I fiquire hair grows back and I know it is going to a good cause. So ladies and gentleman if you are thinking of a new hair style and have long hair you might want to ask your hair dresser if they could help you with this donation.
I know we have a salon that cuts hair one day a year for this reason and the stlyes they give to the volunteers are great. :angel12: Something to think about.

My hair is kind of short. It used to be longer when I was younger several years ago, nearly shoulder length, but I lost some so it closer to my neck now. I would love to have really long hair, but my hair never grew that long.

My hair is probably considered long cause for most of the year it is long but then I will cut it rather short to donate it so I suppose I'm not too concerned with the length of my hair. In a significant other, I generally prefer short hair but, if I loved the person, I don't think I'd mind if they grew it out.

I admire long hair on other women - if it's well taken care of. But short works best for me and my busy active lifestyle. Maybe someday I'll grow it out. My husband's hair is short but I kinda like it when it starts to get a little longish. Back awhile he had shoulder length hair and mine was to my waist.
