Title: Oscars
Post by: Garydh on February 21, 2013, 05:17:36 pm
I think I will watch the Oscars this Sunday. I have no idea of the categories, or of the nominations, but maybe someone from FusionCash, can set up a contest so we can vote by category. Just an idea

Thanks for the reminder. I wanted the watch the best and worst speeches from the Oscars (you can view on yahoo).

I typically don't watch the Oscars, but I think I might this year.

I have no interest in the Oscars to me it's boring so I won't be watching.  I don't go to movies so I don't know what's out.  The only movie I saw on the list was Beasts of the Southern Wild and I only saw that because I was on a plane.

You know someone hates you when they make you watch the oscars with them.

To me, it is like watching the Super Bowl, the commercials, the costumes, and who knows what may pop up. I love the atmosphere presented and the host, plus it helps me to determine which movie, I may want to go spend my money at.

I am not really interested in watching the Oscars. I find it boring to watch, and I am not into films.

I didn't get to watch the Oscars because I waited until the last minute to do my homework.   :[

This year was the first time I watched the Oscars in over 20 years. I still can't figure out how and why certain movies, actors, actresses etc are picked as the best. Watching the Oscars yesterday reminded me of why I stopped watching it over 20-years ago.

It was a wonderful night to watch the beautiful dresses and suits worn by the nominees.

I only watched for Seth Macfarlane since I love Family Guy.  He could've been funnier if he wasn't so tamed.  I thought he was going to be like Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes, but he wasn't.  Ricky Gervais went IN on the celebrities his first year hosting that show. LOL

Funny--I love movies, but I can live without the Oscars show.  Just hit the highlights the next day.

I watched the Oscar's but I wasn't that impressed with it. Seth McFarland was not that funny  :(.  I, however, liked it when Billy Crystal hosted it. He was still very funny  ;D! It was already really predictable who was going to win because of the pre-publicly from all the entertainment shows. They need to revamp the Oscar's if they want to make it more entertaining.

I don't watch the Oscars. I never have. I probably never will. I don't really care about that stuff. I don't think an artist (yes, I believe an actor/actress/etc is considered an artist) needs to "win" and Oscar to justify how good or talented they are. Anyway, sure, I suppose it must be really nice to have a trophy of sorts, but still.

Haven't watched a show like this since I was a kid. Used to be really into the MTV Movie Awards for the comedy factor though. Oscars just don't seem entertaining.

Already happened but i think some people who should've been nominated didn't such as Samuel l jackson for django unchained. He was awesome in that movie.
