I enjoy grocery shopping at Meijers, Kroger and Walmart. I usually shop for what's on sale and I use coupons.
Any other great markets out there?
-
I have been a big fan of CVS Pharmacy. I am aware that it is a drug store but they have a a good selection of grocery items and good prices and rewards plans.
-
lowesfood is good healthy and nutrients value
-
Pathmark.
-
I usually shop walmart--its closer to home and i can usually find what i need in a hurry--my favorite place was winn dixie but we no longer have any around here anymore!!
-
I really like Kroger. However, since we don't have them down here, I'll have to go with #2: Publix.
-
Stop and Shop
-
If you have Publix in your area, I will always love Publix
-
im from the old school, i like ralphs, alpha beta and safeway, although all of them do not exist no more
-
The only grocery store in our area out of your favorites is Wal Mart - And I do stop by there infrequently to buy a couple of things but I don't like it. Always hard to get out of there, I need assistance & that is hard to get there so my favorites are Winn Dixie (which gives you fuel perks which lower your gas prices and every so much $ you get a $5 coupon off your next trip) and 2nd for our area would be Publix. They are too expensive so I rarely go there but they have an awesome bakery & frequent bogo deals that are good.
-
smiths and harmons
-
I shop at Meijers and Walmart, between those two my favorite grocery store is Walmart since they have low prices and everything you could want all under 1 roof
-
Besides the ones you mentioned my family has been saving thier shopping money by using Aldi.
-

I use Walmart almost exclusively. I have a fixed income and my money goes farther their. I do shop at Brookshires and Super One. Another place I save money is Save a Lot. You sack your own bags there. I wish I could remember to bring my own shopping bags I have received from Staples. I take all my old plastic bags I don't use to recycle boxes. It is interesting to see different regions using markets I don't have in my area.

Walmart is also my favorite place to shop. There is a new Super Walmart a few miles away from me. No matter how late I work, if I need to pick up something, I'll find it at Walmart.
-
The only grocery stores in my town are Krogers, Ingles, and Walmart. Out of the three I prefer Ingles.
-
I have Walmart, Winn Dixie, Save A lot and Publix all in the same area. I prefer to go to Save A Lot but since it has a limited grocery I shop at Walmart for dog food and paper products. I like Winn Dixie over Publix because of the fuel perks. I agree with debidoo Publix is more expensive but their bakery and deli are great.
-
My favorite grocery store is Walmart. They always have great deals!
-
Publix is the best in the South, no question.
-
We have a Kroger's in our area. I love shopping there. My husband prefers to go to Sunflower's. I got him to go to Walmart last month, so we will be taking another trip there. I need to pick up some cinnamon and honey, and I will find it cheaper there.
-
my favorite grocery store is Kroger but I shop where ever has the best sales :icon_rr:
-
I usually go to Walmart supercenter when I have a lot to get. If it is only a few things I go down the street to Resbeicks. its in walking distance :) Both stores are great and take coupons.
-
My favorite grocery store is ALDI....I can get so much more there with paying less! Sometimes they even have name brand items for sale! I love it!
-
Walmarts, Ultra's and Foods 4 Less are the stores near me and
Also Aldi's which have more affordable prices. I would say Aldi's and Walmart is where
I shop the most.
-
I love Krogers. I moved to an area that does not have this store so I'm stuck with Teeter and safeway
-
Publix and Kroger are both major chains where I live and I probably go to both about equally. Farmers markets are the only place I buy fresh produce during the summer months. Like to support the local growers and the quality seems to always be a lot higher.
-
My favorite is Publix, with their bogof. and coupons.
-
My favorites are Kroger and Walmart. We do most of our shopping on Wednesday when they offer the senior discounts. I like Kroger's because they offer manager clearance sales besides their other ones.
-
I mostly shop at Ingles Markets. They've made some changes lately. More organics and locally grown products, so that's a plus for me.
-
getting a brand new cvs first time cant wait till it opens, dillons sister company of korgers, big lots ,
-
here in my area Nofril is the store where i shop it is like Aldi .....and i like walmart and sobeys too
-
Tops is my favorite store.
-
dont really have a favorite.i just go to whoever is closest
-
I do all my food shopping between Walmart and Costco. Both are great!
-
Walmart
-
My favorite grocery store is Food Lion. There are some things that I have to get at Wal-Mart, but try not to go there more than I have too.
-
I'm gonna have to say Walmart because you cannot beat there prices but for meats and fresh vegetable's either Safeway or Giant. We have a Roland's grocery store really close but the prices are kinda high so I go when they have a sale especially when the hamburger is on sale.
-
My favorite grocery store is Kroger, I shop at walmart also because there are three of them within a 10 mile radius of my house and yes two of them are closer than Kroger.
-
I like Redner's and Sam's Club the best. When in a hurry, I go to Acme or Foodlion. I am amazed at the number of stores out there that I have never heard of before.
-
I like Winn Dixie because of the Fuel Perks! I have $1.50 off per gallon right now!!!!!
-
krogers is where I shop at the most.
-
My favorite grocery stores are : Trader Joes and Wholesfood
-
will i got to say walmart or food loin or lowes foods my self is the best i liek shopping at them for low price and deals each week my self
-
Piggly Wiggly
-
I love Dave's Marketplace for the best groceries, Walmart for some of the better prices and BJ's for meat.
-
Hey guys,
I forgot to mention Whole Foods as one of my favorite stores. This store can be expensive but
you can find some reasonably priced items. To be truthful, this store should be in the number one
position on my list.
Guess who's gonna be at Whole Foods on June 14th from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m.? It's Fabio. Plus there's some grilling
,walkathons and meetups taking place. You can REALLY get entertained at this store as well as take care of your health food needs if you're health and nutrition conscious.
What other stores offer activities and events that you know of and education?
-
When I really want to stock up Costco is where I go. Just week to week stuff, I like Publix. I also like Walmart Superstore and Super Target, when I have the time because they are a little farther. :)
-
I have Foodfair, Kroger and Walmart SuperCenter to choose from. Although Foodfair is the closest, I purchase most of my groceries from Kroger. I hate to give Walmart any more business than I have to. Foodfair does have the best fresh meats for the price.
-
I would have to say Costco for the free food samples  Walmart for the low prices. Kohls for their clothes.
-
I like pathmark. Expensive; but good products.
-
My favorite store is Giant. I think they have a great selection of deli, meats, cheeses, yogurts, fresh and frozen items! Having the kids carts and cookie club is an extra bonus!
-
Festival Foods.
-
I have just started heavy couponing and I'm finding Kroger, Walgreens, and Meijer are awesome for that.
-
Aldi's - small & easy to get around. It only carries a few brands...but I can't tell the difference between their brands and the famous ones. I save dollars shopping there not just a few cents. However, coupons aren't used there. So I get my coupon items at other places.
-
Winn-Dixie because they are affiliated with Shell Rewards and I save a lot of money on gasoline. I also go to Grocery Outlet sometimes because they are very inexpensive, although the store could use some updating and the clientele are questionable. I avoid going there on Saturday though.
-
Aldi. Their food is super cheap and they pay their cashiers wages they can actually live off of.
-
I shop at Hannaford and other stores and using coupon and buy food $100.00 with coupon pay about 15 or 20 dollars or so.
-
We do Tops for a lot of our groceries and Price Chopper or Spera's for meat.
-
One of the good things about shopping at Publix is that each week they have a lot of buy one- get one deals. If you combine it with a coupon it makes for a really good deal!
-
I like Kroger and Walmart. (I've never heard of some of the stores in the comments. LOL)
-
I am really starting to like WINCO they have all kinds of stuff.
-
Where I live Giant is where it is at
-
My favorite grocery store is Walmart because they have low prices. The only thing I don't like about Walmart is that they don't put enough stuff on stock.
-
My favorite is Publix. They have great BOGOs. But I shop WalMart more often. Their prices are better.
-
We shop for groceries in 4 different places. And they're each a favorite for certain items. This can be a pain but I think I've got it pretty well organized by now so during any week there's usually not a need to shop at more than one.
Target is my 'go-to' for cleaning supplies, canned tuna, condiments, pop, frozen dinners, cold cereal etc. Their prices are good and you can buy in manageable quantities.
Trader Joes for produce, water, some specialty items that only they have, bread.
Costco for their huge salmon filets that I freeze in dinner size quantities and for chicken. Also produce depending on the season. And fresh frozen berries. And paper goods.
Von''s for a few items 'in between'
And now I've added the 99 cent store to the list to check first for fresh produce!
These places are all just a short drive away so no biggie on the gas or time.
-
I like to shop for grocery's at Kroger, Walmart and Aldi. Just started shopping at Aldi's. Great store for saving money. They don't even tax. I love it.
-
Walmart!
-
I like Whole Paycheck, I mean Whole Foods and Trader Joes. :)
-

Any other great markets out there?
My favorite place to shop for groceries is WalMart. It is close to my home and if I need anything else un grocery related I can usually get it there too. My favorite pharmacy is CVS.
-
I only use BiLo now that they have the "fuel perks"!!! Not only do they also have great prices; but they double the coupons too!!
-
I also have a Fresh Market, not too far from where I live. They are expensive but, if you are looking for something special, they have it. They have a great bakery and different products you have trouble finding elsewhere. :D
-
I love Vons, food4less, and walmart to do my shopping.
-
would costco count? ;)
i like any grocery store as long as they're close to me.
wal-mart is alright, but i think i like Safeway's and/or Trader Joe's
-
We shop Walmart for most of our groceries just because of pricing, but Walmart just gives me anxiety! too crowded and carts everywhere! lol... I prefer Publix and I do all of my meat shopping and their half off deals there. Publix is so bright and cheery!
-
I like shopping at shoprite but acme n pathmark have good prices too.
-
Sam Club, Walmart, and Shop Rite... Sam Club is mainly for gas and big amounts of food... Shop Rite and Walmart are for specific food items (like coffee)
-
I enjoy grocery shopping at Meijers, Kroger and Walmart. I usually shop for what's on sale and I use coupons.
Any other great markets out there?
traders joes is my favorite
-
Anyone ever heard of Aldi's? It is a SUPER discount store. I LOVE buying all my produce there. I can get 3 cucumbers for $1 or 3 bell peppers for $1. 10 Kiwi's for .99 etc. It's GREAT!
-
My favorite grocery store is Walmart, Kroger, and any other that has good prices and are located near me; I like to be able to use coupons when I shop there
-
Kroger or Meijer's mostly. If I'm on vacation I may buy things from Walmart but I'm not happy about it but it's one of those stores that you are almost guaranteed to run across at some point. We have a nice little store by my house that seems to be mostly local fruits and veggies so we go their for things like that but other groceries will be from some place else.
-
I live very close to a Costco and about once a month I make a trip there. For certain things it can’t be beat – bread, olive oil, canned food, cheese, maple syrup, etc. I really like the organic choices they offer, really good produce and the fact that when you are buying in bulk it usually means less packaging (although I hate the packaging on the produce).
-
Favorite store lately - Trader's Joe. But, I make a weekly trip to at least two other stores too complete shopping list.
-
Walmart and Woodman's
-
I like Super1foods :)
-
Winn Dixie down south or Rouses which is a Louisiana store.
-
I love walmart
-
shoprite
-
I like HYVEES, especially when they have all the samples out! They have some mighty good deals too!
-
im from the old school, i like ralphs, alpha beta and safeway, although all of them do not exist no more
Ralph's and Krogers are the same store, Safeway and Vons are the same store. I don't know waht Alpha Beta turned into. In California there are 2 different chains of Lucky Markets, but they apparently are not related. My favorite stores to shop are Whole Foods and Sprouts, but only the items that are on sale! I usually go to Ralphs (Kroger) which is now trying to go head to head with the organic stores like Whole Foods and Sprouts. With their buying power they should do a real challenge.
-
Winn Dixie gives me fuel perks! Last week I had $1.50 off per gallon!!!!
-
between food loin and walmart i like both of these to shop at them my self
-
costco, costco, costco.
-
Walmart. It truly has the cheaper prices
-
I would have to say Meijer... I love the new M Perks app on the Iphone too!
-
I do not have a favorite, I go to whomever have the best deal, I shop at Food Depot, Publix, Kroger
-
i usually shop at walmart because hannafords its always expensive..but i went during a huge sale to hannafords and spent half of what i would have at walmart. so if the timing is right, then hannafords.
-
I like the deals at Aldi.
-
walmart
-
I like Kroger and Publix. Publix's has real good sales and they take all coupons.
-
walmart & brookshires
-
I don’t have any particular favorite grocery store. As long as they have what I need and the prices are reasonable, then I go shop there.
-
I like Walmart for the variety and the low prices. Another store I like is Sam's club and Giant.
-
My favorite grocery store is Aldies
-
I don't like grocery shopping but will go when I know I get my icecream so hyvee I guess]
-
I like Food Lion because it is close to my place.
-
I like to shop at Meijers and sav-a-lot though I also shop at other places.
-
I love Acme it's like a semi-large chain and its a little cheaper!
-
I go to Krogers for food and Brookshires Brothers for drinks.
-
When it comes to saving money I have no favorite grocery store...
-
I usually shop at Kroger because that is what is in our town. I have used walmart a few times but I find that the selection is not very good and the prices don't seem low enough to make it worth the extra drive.
-
Just because it is in my area I would have to say HEB, they do have some great specials at times. But Food Town has some awesome specials, I really do not think it is the stores just more of the price of food is going up and grocery stores need to help in the price increase one way or another.
-
Publix is our one and only down here.
-
I enjoy grocery shopping at Meijers, Kroger and Walmart. I usually shop for what's on sale and I use coupons.
Any other great markets out there?
my favorite grocery store is walmart.
-
One of my favorite grocery stores is Trader Joes. I love them because when Im trying to eat healthier they have a ton of yummy alternatives for things and great snacks that arent many calories. ;D
-
I frequent all three of the ones that you mentioned. Winn Dixie was a favorite of mine as well but there are none around here. I shop Kroger many times, their prices are a little higher but they are #1 in my book as far as Customer Service goes. The Kroger Plus Card helps and I also use coupons and shop their sales. This month I enjoyed 35.00 in free groceries from their sales and that was awesome.
-
I enjoy doing my grocery shopping at Publix, Walmart, and Kroger. Out of the three, I'd have to say that Publix is my favorite.
-
I like Shoprite and Food Lion, along with Walmart.
-
I usually shop with Publix because it is right next to my condo, but I used to always shop at Winn-Dixie. They seem to have better prices and have my favorite ice cream there, Banana Pudding :)
-
smiths (kroger), abertson, and target are the ones I like the most
-
I usually go to Shop Rite because it's right in town, and I have been ordering non-perishables from Amazon quite often lately.
-
i hate walmart but thats where i go
-
My favorite grocery store is walmart because we live in the middle of nowhere that the only store is walmart ;D
-
I mostly shop at foodlion because it is the closest. We have a just save store and a Walmart about 15 miles away. I have been finding a lot of good deals at Dollar General.
-
my favorite store would be bjs warehouse or walmart super center
