What would your option be, car, train plane. I have been on long trips in a car, but I can't drive for long hours, but I can be a passenger, although that is exhausting as well. I've never been on a train, but I would like to try it and I've only been on a plane once and I am terrified of heights.
What's your choice?????????? :female:

Trains are sooo cool!! I would love to do some train travel, but the prices they want are outrageous today!! Seriously! I live in a rural area, that is to say not in the north east of the US where trains are very common commuter ones, so for me a nice car on a train is more than first class air travel! Sorry but I just can't handle the 'cattle car' train experience and the times that I have gone that way I spent too much time in the club car (translate that to 'bar')! ;D

I've never been on a train, car trips are ok, but I don't like to do a lot of the driving. I like to fly, I'm afraid of heights too, I just never sit by the window.

I love to travel. usually do the car thing. we ride for like 3 hours then stop and check out things and go on for awhile.
i have flown on planes. not my favorite thing to do but if you want to get somewhere in a hurry thats the way to go lol I always take something that will make me drowsey and i sleep on the flight. lol
have never been on a train,,,, but would love to try it out. Maybe on my next venture :)

For long distances always a plane. For shorter distances, probably a car.
I have rode the train a few times before, both Amtrak and the light rail and the train cars in Chicago. It's not a bad experience but really no cheaper than flying or driving.

I have traveled on a bus, and that was tiring. I would prefer to travel by car. I am scared to death of planes and have never been on a train, although I would like to experience it.

Never been on a train, planes are fun, but then you need a rental, I've always driven. I like road trips.

car allows you to stop and see

It depends on where I'm going :dontknow: I've never been on a train before. I'd like to try it. I like whatever gets me there the fastest.

I think you forgot travelling by ship/boat =P.... If it's short distance I would prefer traveling by car... If it's 25+ miles then I prefer train... The plane for the oversees travel

I'm actually just learning to drive! So I choose car.

never rode on a plane or train,,,,,so car for me!! :icon_rr:

I've been in a plane once, and I really like it. it was fun experience for me. It was a long flight for 14hours straight.

I like to try the train, I never been in a train yet. Look like it fun to ride a train too, specially in long distance ride.

Surprised to read so many of you have not been on a plane or train or both.
If you fly in a plane somewhere you don't always need a car -- when I got to Disney there are the disney buses that take you from the ariport to your hotel and your hotel to the parks.

I love car trip better. I have done the others but I like the comfort of my car.
-
Definitely by train so my wife and I can enjoy the scenery without having to concern ourselves with stopping or driving.
-
Cars, I don't mind driving and I like to see how got to the place that I am going. I hate planes and I think I only ever traveled by train once.
-

:icon_rr:I never ever will ride on a plane or train only car. I just don't like any other way but car  I can stop i can get out when i want to. is there anyone else like me lol.

I don't like flying, but I've only ever flown in business or economy. Maybe first class would be better. I like train travel because it's so easy to fall asleep, but my favorite is road trips as long as I have a cd player. It's way too boring without one and you can't depend on the radio.

I have traveled extensively by all of the mentioned car, train and plane modes of transportation. And with each there are pluses and minuses. Since most folks have expressed no knowledge of trains I will attempt to fill in the blanks. A long distance train is different than a commuter train based on distance traveled so we will also concentrate on that. There are two different ways to travel by train. Coach and 1st class. Coach you get a seat and it folds out like a lounge chair and you sleep on it. You have to buy or bring your meals. First Class you get a seat and it usually folds out into a full bed depending on your the first cass passage you purchase. It includes your meals and a small shower is usually available. If you are traveing by train do not been in a hurry cause it really won't matter. The train gets there within a few hours of it's schedule it's a good day. The big benefit to train travel is meeting folks and viewing the country that you will not see in a plane or if you are driving. I think overall the best train trip is the empire builer through the rocky mountains.

I have never been on a plane, I have been on a train and I always took something to read or do puzzles while riding. but I found that driving is my best choice because I can stop when I want or need to stop. and if you have cruise control it makes it a little easier. but I prefer not to use it. I suggest to drive no more than 4 hours at a time and to break for a sandwich or dinner. I learned that when I drove a semi. That is why they make drivers stop after a certain amount of hours because the body is unable to do it. I hope that helps you.

Car I feel more safer on it then a train/plane.

I would choose a car because of the most control over what it happening to me

Oh, I like to fly, without question. I can hardly stand long car trips anymore at all. As for trains, I've never been on one, but would like to ride one sometime
