You are so right, once they are gone they are missed so much.  So sorry for your loss.  It's never possible to find the "right" words to comfort someone when they have just suffered a loss.  Just know that I am thinking of you and praying that God will give you the comfort and strength needed to handle this.

You have my condolences on your loss.  Yes, it hurts like all getout.  But if you don't appreciate them while they are still here, when they are gone, it will finally hit you that your bread and butter is gone.  I should know; my late grandmother passed nearly 24 years ago, my mother passed 17 years ago, I lost an aunt 6 years ago and my uncle passed 9 years ago.  My aunt that passed 6 years ago would do all kinds of hurtful things to my grandmother, and when she passed, she put on the performance of her life; it was so great that she should have won an Oscar for it.  At my mother's funeral, she went to do the same.  What stopped her?  I was on the front seat and looked back at her because I wanted to know why she was putting on that performance when I knew she didn't care for my mother.  My mother stuck her neck out to get her out of an abusive situation and she turned on her as soon as she got out.  While I understand what you are saying, and it is true, not everyone thinks like that.  I wish you the best of luck, and always remember that you have the memories of your wife and that will be a precious commodity.   :angel11: :angel11:

I am so sorry.  My husband and I had our 50th anniversary in June.  No matter how much more time we have, I will be thankful for such a wonderful partner in life.  He always has my back.

Finding the right words to comfort someone in times like these are very hard.
I pray that God comforts you as you try to move forward.

My heart goes out to you!  So sorry for your loss.  I've been married 38 years now and I know if I lost my husband I would never be the same.  He is such a good, God loving man!

Terribly sorry to hear about the loss of your wife...Hang in there Big Ed.  I couldn't imagine what you are going through but wish you the best. I do thank God for the time that I have and all of the loved ones that I have in it.  I went to a funeral for an Aunt who lost her third battle to cancer at age sixty which seems fairly young.  I had an Uncle that went into see his dentist and died from complications three days later.  A client with a four year old daughter, twin two year olds and a pregnant wife went to the doctor two years ago only to find out that he had two weeks left to live.  Live today like it is your last day on Earth!

I am so sorry about your wife. I bet after 40 years, you truly have some wonderful memories to cherish until it is time for you to see her again in Heaven. I do thank God for everything in my life, every morning I say my Prayers and I Thank God for giving another day. I also thank Him for each thing I have, my house, cars, food and husband, and his job. I Would be lost without God to guide me and he meets our every need. But I do think it is great that yhou have reminded us, because to many times it is easy to forget to cherish your family and the time you have with them. :angel12:
