Many professionals in restaurants and eateries are using or consuming
the entire lemon and nothing is wasted. How can you use the whole
lemon without waste?
Simple.. place the washed lemon in the freezer section of your
refrigerator. Once the lemon is frozen, get your grater, and shred
the whole lemon (no need to peel it) and sprinkle it on top of your
foods.
Sprinkle it to your vegetable salad, ice cream, soup, cereals,
noodles, spaghetti sauce, rice, sushi, fish dishes, whisky.... the
list is endless.
All of the foods will unexpectedly have a wonderful taste, something
that you may have never tasted before. Most likely, you only think of lemon juice and vitamin C. Not anymore.
Now that you've learned this lemon secret, you can use lemon even in instant cup noodles.
What's the major advantage of using the whole lemon other than
preventing waste and adding new taste to your dishes?
Well, you see lemon peels contain as much as 5 to 10 times more
vitamins than the lemon juice itself. And yes, that's what you've
been wasting.
But from now on, by following this simple procedure of freezing the
whole lemon, then grating it on top of your dishes, you can consume all of those nutrients and get even healthier.
It's also good that lemon peels are health rejuvenators in eradicating toxic elements in the body.
So place your washed lemon in your freezer, and then grate it on your
meal every day. It is a key to make your foods tastier and you get to
live healthier and longer! That's the lemon secret! Better late than
never, right? The surprising benefits of lemon! Lemon (Citrus) is a
miraculous product to kill cancer cells. It is 10,000 times stronger
than chemotherapy.
Why do we not know about that? Because there are laboratories
interested in making a synthetic version that will bring them huge
profits.
You can now help a friend in need by letting him/her know that lemon
juice is beneficial in preventing the disease. Its taste is pleasant
and it does not produce the horrific effects of chemotherapy.
How many people will die while this closely guarded secret is kept, so as not to jeopardize the beneficial multimillionaires large
corporations?
As you know, the lemon tree is known for its varieties of lemons and limes.
You can eat the fruit in different ways: you can eat the pulp, juice
press, prepare drinks, sorbets, pastries, etc. It is credited with
many virtues, but the most interesting is the effect it produces on
cysts and tumors. Like our page learning Petals
This plant is a proven remedy against cancers of all types. Some say
it is very useful in all variants of cancer. It is considered also as
an anti microbial spectrum against bacterial infections and fungi,
effective against internal parasites and worms, it regulates blood
pressure which is too high and an antidepressant, combats stress and nervous disorders.
The source of this information is fascinating: it comes from one of
the largest drug manufacturers in the world, says that after more than 20 laboratory tests since 1970, the extracts revealed that It
destroys
the malignant cells in 12 cancers, including colon, breast, prostate,
lung and pancreas. The compounds of this tree showed 10,000 times
better than the product Adriamycin, a drug normally used
chemotherapeutic in the world, slowing the growth of cancer cells.
And what is even more astonishing: this type of therapy with lemon
extract only destroys malignant cancer cells and it does not affect
healthy cells.
So, give those lemons a good wash, freeze them and grate them. Your
whole body will love you for it!!!!!

I never knew Lemons was so good for everything.

I never thought about freezing the whole lemon. Our produce market usually has lemons priced at 10/$1 and I never buy more than 1 or 2 mainly for fish dishes and then use bottled lemon and lime juice for everything else.
Thanks to your post, I will now buy 10 or more lemons and limes and follow the info you posted. :notworthy:

I sure agree lemon has a lot of use, it also can cut off some fat

Ahh yes I've heard about the wonderful benefits of lemon. Always a good thing to have around in the kitchen. I'd like to use it more in my diet but unfortunately too much makes me break out.
-
I never knew lemons had so many wonderful uses! I love lemon slices in water and order it frequently in a restaurant; yet, I refrain from buying lemons in the grocery store because I thought there would be too much of it wasted! Never thought of freezing them! Wonderful information! Thank you so much! This is what I love best about the forum on FusionCash! :notworthy:
-
WOW!! this is all very interesting to learn, and you are right who knew this was a great way to use the whole lean and get healthier all at the same time
-
I've worked in restaurants and I can attest to this. Also, lemon is a great non-toxic paint remover.
-
If you're going to use the skin of a citrus fruit just be aware that they absorb most of the pesticides. I think you need to use a stiff-bristled brush and really scrub them for several minutes or more in order to make an impact on the amount of pesticide residue. Such residue is a legitimate "toxin" that can cause you troubles, moreso than the vague "toxins" often supposedly "cleansed" by this-or-that newest remedy.

After reading this post, I did a little google search on it.
As Admin said, WASH the lemons very well before freezing them.
I had wondered about how the grated lemon would be if directly sprinkled into a glass of water.....seems like that will the way I will take the frozen lemon most often.
The advice I found on that is this:
"I use organic lemons and my favorite is to sprinkle the frozen lemon gratings into my organic plain whole fat yogurt in the morning. I also like it on my salads. I also sprinkle it directly into a glass of water. This should be done every day! One word of caution though is to make sure you clean your teeth after using it as you don’t want the acid from the lemons to eat away the enamal on your teeth."
-
I'd rather just buy them processed in a form that is already ready to consume (pies, juice, cleaning solution, ect). No need to worry about how much of the lemon i need to use. Good idea though.
-
I use fresh lemon juice in my water every day to promote bone health. :star:
This is a wonderful idea to use more lemons in my diet. :)
Thank you so much for this post.

I never thought about freezing and grating the whole lemon...it always adds a zest to food......

I never knew Lemons was so good for everything.
Wow, that is a good thing to know. I do like the taste of lemon in some of my food. Maybe it will even help with weight loss. I love a good ice cold glass of homemade lemonade on a hot day. It refreshes like no other drink. I think it replaces some of what you lose in sweat. Thanks for the tip.

THANK YOU!!! i never knew that

Thanks this is a great idea. I never thought about using the entire lemon. And yes we usually use the juice and throw away the lemon. But I will definitely give this great idea a try. Hopefully I will be able to get healthy and lean again. Thanks for the 411.

I like iced tea with lemon, real lemon, not that processed stuff in a bottle.
Citrus is good for the liver, it's a natural detox. I haven't gotten into zesting fresh lemons yet because of the pesticides. They are absorbed into the rind therefore you can't just clean them off. Your best bet for this idea is to get organic lemons or grow your own (organically). I don't have access to many organic foods at my local stores so I'll have to wait to try this one.
Processed foods like pie and juice have added sugar. Just saying...
-
Nice way to use lemons. Organic lemons are cheap and freeze well, so there is no waste.
-
::) thanks for the tips. I'll try it sometimes.
-

-
I never knew that about lemons, I see that they are good for everything. Thanks for the tips on this and I like the information
-
What a neat thing to learn about lemons. My mom always made fresh lemonade with ice and sugar and it was wonderful, especially on a hot, hot day! I appreciate learning about freezing them and sprinkling them on everything. I am surely going to do this, I know it will taste wonderful. I used to eat the pulp whenever I had them served with dinner and everyone would pucker up!
-
Wow thats great I never to freeze I have used to freshen the room
-
Wow! Thanks, SherylShado. I knew that lemons could be used for some things, but not all of those things. I recall I used to buy lemon juice in a colon-spleen cleanser. It worked as long as I was drinking it once a week. But that has been some years. The information you just supplied will be helpful.

Thanks for the tip! ;D

I like to put lemon slices in my water....wonder how grated whole lemon will look and taste?
Thinking the same and will try this tomorrow morning. Placing lemons in freezer NOW!!
-
I used to zest my lemons to cook with all the time. Thing is, the white is bitter! As soon as you get past the yellow, you have to move to a different spot. I cant do the whole thing
-
The whites of a lemon is called it's pith. Not sure on the spelling. We've been eating healthier for over a full year now and lemons are one of those things that is on my bi-weekly shopping list. I love putting juicing the lemon into smoothies. I have a citrus zester/scorer and it's always so cool and refreshing to see the droplets of lemon juice spray into the air. I have 4 limes in my fridge now (bought for a recipe) our fridge went out and I had to pitch most of the ingredients for the recipe..what should I do with them now? Back to lemons. When you cut them (any citrus for that matter & tomatoes) be sure to wash your blade off ASAP ... this aids in the power of the juice from dulling your blades. Also if you cut a lemon in half it can be used to remove the dingy tarnishing looking stuff on copper pans... as well as whiten can clean polyethylene cutting boards. I've soaked my cutting board and put it in the sun with pure lemon juice and it worked pretty good.

Sorry, when I posted the original post I guess I had assumed people always wash the outside of all fruits (and vegetables) before eating them. Fruits & vegetables go through ALOT before being purchased: a variety of bugs & possibly worms/rodents toilet, lay eggs/cocoon on them, they've probably fell or rolled on the filthy ground, kids snot on them and have possibly licked them, shoplifters may have had them "hidden" in their pants, many people whose hands have touched many things before touching the fruits/vegetables have touched them/sniffed/ or sneezed on them...someone may have had them in their cart with their chicken or hamburger leaking blood on top of them strolling around the store for over an hour and then when they get to the checkout, they decided they don't want the fruit anymore so it goes right back on the shelf to wait for YOU. A clerk may have not had a convenient place to put the returned fruit/veggies so they threw them in a dirty trash can only to dig them out a few hours later to return them to the store shelf. (I've seen it all happen!)
Washing a lemon (or any fruit/vegetable) with a peel isn't going to remove any pesticides that have leeched into the peel. Many doctors still say that consuming the peel has more health benefits than avoiding it. (I've been reading a whole variety of medical/health and wholesome food/cooking & nutrition books, magazines, journals & newsletters for years. It's ironic how people can get so paranoid about pesticides in fruit & vegetable peelings but have no problem with the chemicals they inhale in their cigarettes, the chemicals that affect their BRAIN that they consume in their alcohol, the chemicals/preservatives/unhealthy fats and sugars they gobble up in their junk food, the crap everyone is breathing in the air and drinking in their water. However, if the thought of pesticides in fruit & vegetable peelings is still too horrible to bear, there is always organic...and organic doesn't mean "100% pesticide-free" it simply means it's supposed to contain FEWER/lesser amount of pesticide than un-organic.
The best way I've found for washing fruits & vegetables (again, this only washes them---it doesn't remove leeched pesticides) is to fill the kitchen sink with water and add a 1/2 cup (for a full sink or 1/4 cup for a halfway sink depending on amount of fruit/veggies you're washing) with distilled white vinegar. I let them soak 20-30 minutes. Then do a quick rinse and pat dry. This kills 98% bacteria, eliminates risk of salmonella, and makes things like strawberries & blueberries stay fresher longer. It removes waxy coating. I know there are other things like baking soda, peroxide, etc that can be used for washing fruits & veggies but I like the vinegar the best...it just seems to leave everything more "fresh". :)

Yup, I knew lemons had a lot of uses but wow, didn't know you could freeze them!!! Thanks for the tip!!!!
