Title: Question about Give Us Your 2 Cents for the experienced members
Post by: makenewmoneynow on June 11, 2009, 08:16:16 am
Hello.

I go to Give us your 2 cents, answer about 50-100 questions, and then they say I do not qualify for the survey.

I am an organic consumer. Today I answered at least 60 questions about my organic choices and purchases, along with giving them the usual zip code, family size, age of members, income, race, education level, etc.

I was then told I did not qualify for the survey.  I am questioning the ethics of this. They have collected extremely valuable information. AND they do it everyday on thousands of us, yet pay nothing for it by saying we do not qualify. They are marketing and selling our information. My inbox and mail box are full of it.

There is not any company that requires 60 questions of information to qualify someone to answer 5 questions about "Hot Pockets." I can see the need to qualify demographical information, but if a company wants to know how often I buy almond milk or gluten free pasta, then they need to pay for that information. That is a survey. We signed up to GET PAID for our information. Anything much past "Do you use organic products?" and then identifying the general category that the survey pin points is all that should be allowed unless they are going to pay.

I went to see if I got credit for all that information that was collected on me, and the FusionCash account page says "see account" with the word account as a link. When I press it, all it does is refresh the page. What am I doing wrong? Where is my account information for Give us your 2cents?

What are your experiences with these companies? Are you continually spending time giving away specific information for free and not getting paid for it?

Many people have left posts stating that if you do the daily offers everyday, you can earn $50-60 per month. So far I have spent over three hours of my time answering questions among the various days and only earned 75 cents because I do not qualify for most of the surveys. Yet I have answered 100's of very specific questions. I have earned well completing offers for other things like business cards and trials, but I am thinking that the business ethics of the survey industry may not be a good fit for me.

Can someone give me some tips on how to have a better chance at getting paid for my survey time?

Thanks so much.

I am right there with you, and I am sure many others are as well. I have been having problems getting credited for the dailys that I do qualify for. A few days ago I spent over an hour on one survey watching a dozen or more video commercials and responding to dozens of questions. Although I did qualify, I have not been credited.

On other occasions I have answerd tons of questions only to not qualify. And I agree, the questions are not general demographic questions. there are tons of questions about a variety of topics, and then to be told you do not qualify. I don't really understand the screening process, but feel like there should be a limit to what can be asked before qulaifying (or not qualifiying).

I am basically at 20bucks and am now only doing the paid to click and the forum to try to get to 25. I am tired of hours of questions withouth qualifying and/or not being credited.

I am also sick of all the emails. Ther was a really good post by someone who has been doing this for a while, who gave excellent advice about creating an email account just for this....

Cheers!

I think this site is good to make money at the start. As I get into the flow of it, I will most likely just pair it up with a handful of other online things and view it as piece of my online income pie. I just hope it remains a piece and not a sliver.

I totally agree with the extra email. I did 2. One email I use with all the companies I work with, where I am signing in each day like FusionCash.  Then I have a second one that I use for any site I visit as a result of my work on my company sites. It helps me prioritize. My active company email I visit a few times a day. My second email I visit once every day or two when I am ready to go in and face the spam. It prevents me from missing out on any important emails from the companies I work with and still provides me a separation from my personal email account.

Yea thats what I have been doing as well and it works well because my email doesn't have "Inbox (500)" and such.

Lol but I found a trick to this site ... I didn't qualify for the main one but it asked me if I wanted to take another ... I still messed up and messed up again ... sad I know but, like the 4th-ish one I got and just got credit for it lol.

Just keep on trying this and eventually you will finish the survey (and if it doesn't give you it do it again with a different email ...lol)

I have done My Thought Counts many times and at the end of each survey it tells me I didn't qualify. It will ask me if I want to try another survey and I try it too and still i don't qualify. Plus, I've not got any credits for doing that one with Fushion cash. I don't know if I ever will or if I have to qualify before I will get any credits. It's very aggravating at times but I keep on hoping it will work. :dontknow:

I always do the PTC first, then the Give Us Your 2 Cents, then the My Thought Counts.

100% success on PTC
95% success on GU2C
50% success on MTC

Some days, I don't even bother with MTC.  I'll give it 10-15 minutes, and if I don't get into a survey, I give up for another day.

6/6 was my last successful MTC.

I feel your pain makenewmoneynow, that has happened too me on a acouple of times and too the least its frustating. I do a survey for 30 mins and then all of a sudden it says i don't qualify?  :BangHead:  So i gave up on   Give Us Your 2 Cents, My Thought Counts has a better approval rate in my opinion.  But if you want too make some other money on here,  be sure too check out the paid too click section, you can $0.15 every day and it really adds up.

Thanks for all the info. I have a better understanding now. The rebel in me says we could stage a boycott of those sites that do not perform ethically. LOL  :bootyshake:

When they stop getting the information they need from us for free, they will be forced to re-design the program with better perks!

No kidding, they probably would.  I would like that too happen but i belong too alot of other paid survey companies and if you don't completely finish and qualify for a survey, you get 5 points or some type of reward for you time. That's what they should do. Because your spending your valuable time by giving your opinions on those offers, if you don't fully qualify for those offers, you can at least get half credit or something.

That is very aggravating spending that much time answering so many questions just to find u don't qualify.  Its happened to me quite a few times in the past week.  I just keep on trying and doing the dailys every day and its true that it adds up fast if you actually get them to credit.  Ive been clearing cache and cookies before each offer that seems to be helping with the not crediting problem.

Never use your MAIN e-mail address when filling out ANY time of survey, offer, etc. You WILL end up with spam. I used to rarely get to qualify for a survey, but I am pretty good at them now.

I've had very little luck in the past two months with Give Us Your Two Cents and the My Thoughts Count surveys. I used to have pretty decent luck with qualifying, finishing, and getting credit for my hard work... but as of late, my luck has been terrible.

Personally, I think after the 50'th question, we should at least have earned a nickel.  ;D

I've read thru the posts and things haven't changed much in 9 months.

Surveys are generally targeted to specific demographics, and I have found that if I qualify 1 time out of 10, I'm doing pretty good.  I've had occasional problem with completed surveys not crediting, but if you hold the completed survey window open for 15-30 minutes after you completed the survey, you will frequently see the credit in the FC account.

Give Us Your 2 Cents (Greenfield/Toluna), if you have done their surveys before and register at those sites, they will ask you to fill out a profile that will help match you with surveys they have available.  This reduce the number of DQ's, but doesn't guarantee a match.
MyThoughtsCount (OTX), however, doesn't do that, so if you DQ's on 6 surveys yesterday, you'll DQ on the same 6 surveys today.
