Title: Bowling
Post by: lbeery on October 30, 2013, 06:04:08 pm
Going bowling with some friends this weekend.  Haven't been for years.  What is the going rate for a game and shoes?  I know it will be a lot more than I am used to but what do you pay where you are?

where I live renting shoe cost like $2 or $3 and game cost $6-$7 for one game. So well I guess it under $10 a game. Some place have discount you can look for under that game center name and see if they have discount offer or special week discount..

I couldn't tell you the last time I went bowling.  It's been years, but I do have a stupid story about bowling.  I was about 16 and finally landed a date with this guy I really wanted to date.  We went with a bunch of friends about 2 weeks before Thanksgiving bowling.  It was my turn and believe it or not, I had a strike!  Next roll, another strike (pure luck), anyway someone said one more strike & you have a turkey!  I go so excited and said my mom will love a free turkey!  (Little did I know that's what they call 3 strikes), I don't think I made a great impression on my date!  :BangHead:

I absolutely love bowling.  It's so much fun.  And it's one of those things that just about anyone can do since it doesn't require much skill.  In fact I took my youngest bowling when she was about 2 or 3 years old.  She wasn't strong enough to roll the ball down the ally.  So the owner pulled out a ramp that is used for kids in wheel chairs.  Great game for families and friends.  Been years since I've gone as well.

We usually do beer frames when I bowl, so they allow us to bowl for free. Can't remember the last time I had to pay.
