In the news this morning, lots of cyber hackers who hit Gmail, Google, Youtube, Yahoo, Facebook, Twitter, ADP, LInkIn, and others were hacked and passwords were stolen.
They say to change your passwords BUT the damage may have already been done.
I know my Google Chrome crashed big time yesterday afternoon. Don't know if that had anything to do with the hackers or not.

I did not know this. Thanks for posting. I am not certain that this is the correct board to post it on -- I would have put it on the first board which is everything NOT Fusion Cash ....

Where in the news did you read this?
It's always a good idea to change you passwords periodically.

I read it on line and I also heard it from TV. Since my Goggle crashed the other day, I've been trying to rebuild all my extensions and speed dial. I sure wish I could have gotten the hang of FireFox. I don't care for the speed dial I downloaded now. I liked the old Speed Dial because when you searched for something, it searched by Google. The one I have now doesn't search by Google.

They need to punish this scumbags. Do not give time in jail but place them on National TV and beat them with a bat. Seeing this not less they are stupid will not do this crap again.

Having to change passwords can be a pain, but it is must now a days. :sad1:

It's worse than just stealing your passwords. Try re-directing your mail, reading it, and routing it on to you. :confused1:

Oh wow, I had not heard anything about this until I read your post. Thanks for the heads up!

Very interesting. This now explains a problem I had a while back. I kept getting someone downloading a free app on my Itunes account. I would swiftly change the password and about 2 weeks later it happened again. After the 3rd time I got tracking down Itunes support and got a guy who said the problem was coming from my e-mail account and to go and change that password/security info first. I was very skeptical. But it is 2 months and no problems. And the article here I think explains what was going on

Hackers are completely despicable. most of the time they don't even profit from their evil actions, they just do it because they enjoy being evil. It takes a really low scumbag to do that. I can understand doing stuff like that for money, because money is always a great tempter, but to do it just to be evil is far worse.

Just think how much good these hackers could do if they were using their expertise for good instead of evil. It's so scary to know people are out there messing up the computers of all the law abiding citizens! If changing your passwords frequently helps, then we should all be doing just that!

I did not know about this. Thank you for letting me know. I have Norton and it says everything is fine with my computer.

I sure agree to change password frequently. I can't imagined people want to steal other people's information and password; I wonder if those hackers own passwords were stolen by some other what would they think? But thanks for the heads up

nsa has always done this. random reading emails. you can tell when you have to sign in twice or if your email sends before you hit it. wonder who would have started a virus. I run my scan often but really dont know how good the scans are.
