I work two jobs and not get paid that much from both jobs. Every month there are a ton of bills in my mail box and I pay as much as I can on those bills. The money isn't enough money to cover them. Were does it all go.

Then you need to manage your money. Try to find out how much you made and expense monthly. If you eat more try to cut off some expense. I think you spending too much if you short of your monthly all the time. :) Try to save some cash, you never know when you really need it for some accident that come in life.

It costs you a lot just to go to work by the time you add in the gas expense, clothing, babysitter (if you have children), etc.

You would be surprised how fast money goes if you're not paying attention.

I wonder about this question also where does it goes? The working class pays the most taxes. I was screaming about this today.

I know what you mean i look at my account almost everyday surprised at what i spend on food for 3 people. Take out can add up even a pizza for 15.00 or burgers for20.00 adds up fast.PG@E will be up with summer coming on it never ends.

Bills and food is probably where most your $$$$$ is being used.

That sounds about right. im ecstatic when there is extra money still left in our checking account at the end of the month. we budget for everything and still barely get by. hate how the bills constantly pile up as well.

Where does the money go? To the bill collectors obviously LOL Xd
I hear you tho.. You can spend an entire lifetime making money and working overtime and what do you have to show for it? You would be lucky to have a few pieces of silver laying around. The price of food has went up the price of living has went up.... By the time you pay bills and living expenses and all the extra crude who has money for anything else? Not me... Lottery needs to come on and pick me because its my turn next :D

When it comes down to it and you have alot of bills you need to serioulsy scale back on your services , what kinds of foods you buy and what not. Say like if you like name brands go with store brand foods or a little cheaper internet or slim down and take the bus more then drive or walk if you can stuff like that

spending more than you make is a problem..but it seems you don't make enough..look for higher paying jobs

My advice would be to sit down and make a list of all your bills. See where you can cut back on. Maybe switch your cellphone provider or the plan you are currently using. Sometimes even downgrading to a less expensive phone can make a huge difference. Especially if your making monthly payments on the phone or paying for additional data. Then I'd look at cable bills and see if you can cut back there as well. Get a cheaper package deal or switch providers. Another thing to look at is how much you're spending on food a month and where you are spending it. Fast food and take out can add up really quickly if you don't pay attention to it. If you are spending any money on luxury items, cutting back there can help out as well. And if you have any credit cards, I'd suggest closing all but one or two of them. Or start with one and pay it off completely before going on to the next card. Budgeting out how much you spend and how much you make can help you make decisions on where to cut back. Other options are finding another job that pays better, getting a roommate if possible.

Some of your answers are pretty short sighted. We were making over $200,000 yearly about 3 years ago, husband has an accident at work and is now disabled. The company I worked for for 25 years was sold and they did not want to take employees who made more than minimum wage, and the only jobs I can find are part time or temporary. Mostly they try to pay minimum wage too. So we are short every month, with a new income of 29,000 a year. We were also in better shape than most, we did not have a lot of credit card debt and had been in our home for a long time. But I pay everybody something every month. Some companies will work with you if you talk to them and let them know what is going on. The company that I had worked for was sold and went bankrupt and we also lost all of our retirement....and we had always been doing the right thing about saving and not spending to much. I am always looking for better paying jobs, but with so many people out of work they can get away with paying nothing and giving no benefits.

You have more month at the end of the month than money. :-\
It's amazing how the little things add up. Keep a very tight budget and write down whatever you spend. You'll be amazed how much the little things add up at the end of the month.

Everything is so expensive today that you can go through money much faster than you can imagine. It's so scary!! We don't even do that much extra and we spend too much.

I have three jobs and money is still a problem. I go for sales at the grocery store and week to week I figure out what I need to pay and there still is nothing left but a few pennies

What I usually do is keep track of my spending. I will have a notebook handy and list everything for one month at a time plus I will write checks instead of cash or debit card. Then the end of the month I will look at the list and see if there's anything that I bought that I didn't need..like eating out, clothes I don't need, lotteries, etc., and try to cut that out the next month. Hopefully this is the case with you. Some jobs just don't pay enough.

Or WHERE does it go ??? Sounds like you need a new mailbox 8)

You have to manage your bills better. Set a budget, stop going to restaurants, stop spending money at starbucks if you drink coffee. Pay more on your bills so that you can get rid of them.
