I love my pets.  They in some ways are part of the family.  I don't buy gifts for them and stuff like that.  When they die.  No  ceremony. Other than that I take care of them, food, water and play.   So I guess they are pets, animals.

Oh yes most assuredly even though all three of them can be a pain in the behind.  We have two cats that scratch things we don't want them to scratch and have ruined some good furniture but my boys love them dearly so ............ also we have a shih tzu that has had accidents on my cream colored carpet.  But we love them all too much to do anything but continue loving them.  :cat:  :dog:

My dog is my baby. She sleeps in the bed, gets presents for holiday and people ask about her when they ask about the rest of the family

I consider my girl cat one of my babies. I buy for her, feed her and protect her from harm, which is what we do to our children as well, so why not. Some of my friends do that as well. I feel like this, if you're gonna have a pet, why would you just give them a bowl of food and water and keep them outside? That's not love. If you're gonna have a pet, make sure that they have stuff too.

Of course, my fur people are my kids.  :cat: :cat: :cat: :cat: Even my box turtle is part of the family.  When my dogs  :dog: :dog: :dog: were alive they were my kids too.  They're great listeners and know how to make me laugh.  The boys hunt down any bugs that get in.  Two of them sleep under the covers with me and keep me warm in the winter.  They've pulled me through depression.  They're better than most humans I've dealt with.

I think pet are part of the family.  If you have to take care of a pet by feeding it and picking up after it then they are your children

Absolutely!! I would not bring any animal into my home that would be anything than a family member, and I foster dogs quite frequently. When in my care, they are accepted as family, good habits and bad.

Yes! I have a 5 yr. old cat, and have had him since he was a kitten, and I love him very much. Right now, he is like my baby, as I don't have any kids yet. I think about him when I'm at work or not at home, and worry about him getting into trouble at the house! I know pets don't live forever, but if something were to happen to him anytime soon, I'd be devastated.  :cat:

Is my pet part of the family?  I buy cat food, take photos of her and she thinks I'm HER human so that's probably a big YES.  I think she's laughing because she knows she has me wrapped around her fuzzy little finger.

I don't have pets around the house.  Raising a child was enough of taking care of someone else was enough for me.  No really a pet lover.

I have always had a pet of some kind.  I grew up on a farm.  We had cats and dogs through out my childhood.  I had a horse too  :)

AS we had our own kids, we have had cats, dogs, hermit crabs, and horses.

Absolutely.  We take our parrot on everything vacation.  He "helps" me fold laundry, do my hair, make toast in the morning, etc.  He really isn't much help, but he likes to participate.

Yes!  Our "canine son" is 12 years old now.  We have had him since he was 8 weeks old.  He is very much a part of our family.  My husband accuses me of treating Tommy better than I do him!!

When I was younger, we had cats that were part of the family.  The last dog (CuJo, my Labrador Retriever)  I had was part of my family.  Now I have cats that are not part of my family, but seem to have adopted me.  In having your cats and dogs as part of your family, you love them and they give you unconditional love.  Right now, I want to get myself a puppy, but my hubby won't let it stay in the house. :cat: :cat: :cat: :dog: :dog: :dog:  :rainbow: :rose:

yes they are, I often go without medical care, if something happens to one of them, and they are in need of medical care

Ive moved across country several times and my pets always go with me

If I have to move, I do not give my pets away, I find a home that will allow them

Yes I do. They are a big part of the family. They know how to get your attention when they want it. They watch you eat something and if they don't get any they give a sound of disgust. It is kind of funny

My pet is indeed part of my family.  My pet is very loving and participates in the majority of functions we do.  There are times we are not able to bring him on our travels, which we always feel guilty on.
