Do you conveniently shop at dollar stores?

We have a Dollar General store and a locally owned Loopy's Dollar Store in our town. I shop there for gift wrap supplies, toiletry items, cleaning items, and pet items.

I love them but I don't go to dollar General that often. Usually go to dollar tree or family dollar.

I love them. You never know what you're going to find! They even get organic vegetables.
I don't do the Dollar General store, just the Dollar Tree & the 99 cent only store.

I like Dollar stores but the best one that was around here closed down, it was called Little Bucks and they had everything, fresh produce, diapers...everything and it was all $1. I do go to the Dollar Tree and sometimes there are decent deals.

I sure do! Sometimes I will go to Dollar General but I really like Dollar Tree. I get a lit of named brand cleaning supplies, wrapping paper, bows, named brand toothpaste, cards, tons of things!

Yes, I do - they're great for getting decorations, party supplies (especially for smaller gatherings), toiletries, and some school supplies. I have even bought food there sometimes - some items are name brands, in case you're leery of the quality.

Yes I have a Family Dollar near me and I go there several times a week. They have good prices on lots of things but a great many are more than a dollar nowadays.

I do love to go to the dollar tree. The way prices of fresh vegetables and fruit are going up I'll have to start going to the 99 cent store. :clover: :moon:

I think they're fun. I found my vegetable storage bins at Loopy's Dollar store after searching everywhere with no luck. I buy paper products, gift bags, and helium balloons at the dollar store.

I do. A lot of stuff is 2-3 bucks now but so long it gets the basic job done at a cheaper price, I can't complain.

All the time. There are two right near me; Dollar Tree and Dollar General. I find good deals but I watch the expiration dates on any food items, some can be real close.

Yes I love dollar stores. Dollar Tree is my favorite. Sometimes you have to be careful because I have found some things cheaper at other places.

Yes, I like to shop at the dollar stores. There is a dollar tree, family dollar, and 99 cent only here. I use all three depending on the location I'll be in. A dollar general just opened here to. I wonder what it is like and if I should check it out.

Yup ... I love the dollar stores ... you can find some unique stuff there. I personally buy some of my makeup .. blush and eye shadow at the dollar store all the time. Why pay full price when you can get the same thing for a dollar.

Dollar stores are the best for certain products....I love the store brand scotts tissue and cleaning supplies.....

I shop at Dollar General and Family Dollar but you have to watch the prices as you can end up paying a lot more for an item than elsewhere....I clip coupons and watch the ads and really get some good deals sometimes... ;)

i do some shopping at dollar general.mostly because of where i live..we are in a rural area and they are close by..

We have been using the Dollar General coupon for $5 dollars off coupon $25 dollar or more.

I LOVE Dollar stores. Dollar tree is my favorite.

I only go when I need a few things or something that's cheap in price. Sometimes I like going because I find things that I wouldn't have found anywhere else.

I have read that it's not a good idea to buy foodstuffs there because they're not regulated.
However, I do buy potato chips and things like salt, alcohol, vinegar, cards, etc.
Cheap can be good! :D

Most definitely.Usually cleaning supplies really offer good deal.Be careful with batteries.

But of course. I find many things there that are much cheaper but just as good as in other stores.

yep i shop at dollar tree or family dollar. I don't like dollar general. might as well go a regular store. love dollar tree when i need christmas things or need cards,,, which i usually stock up on since they are like 50 cents a card :)

I like Dollar Tree and Family Dollar. Dollar Tree is good for craft supplies and cheap snacks. I like Family Dollar for household goods and toys.

It seems every larger town surrounding my rinky dink podunk neighborhood has some sort of $ store. Family Dollar, Dollar General and Everything's a $. Everything's a $1 has become my favorite. Not only is everything in the place literally $1 but it's right next door to the Aldi I frequent weekly. We go through a ton of tape and manilla envelopes each week and this place is where I stock up on supplies. Some things aren't worth the $1... others are comparative from shopping discount store brands. All in all I'm content with everything from there accept the dish soap & laundry detergent.

I used to enjoy shopping at the Dollar Tree...until my Mom discovered it. She's had me take her there so many times that I've grown to become nauseous at the very thought of going now lol.

There are a lot of dollar stores in my area, I think they are a lot of fun! very easy to pick up inexpensive necessities.

Wow I'm jealous. My Dollar Tree doesn't sell organic anything. I do love shopping there though especially for household items.

Yes, I do sometimes you find all kinds of things for a dollar that you pay more for somewhere else.

Yes I do. We have one Dollar Tree here in town. I love shopping there cause I can get more for my money! Thats always
a plus when your on a fixed income with kids.

I have a dollar general about a mile and a half away, but only go when I need small items and I know I can get a good deal. Most of the time going just to my local Walmart proves to be a little bit more expensive, but I get both quantity and quality which is very seldom to receive at dollar general.

Yes, I have a Dollar General that is about 1 mile from my home. I make several stops in there throughout the week to pick up odds and ends.

Yes that is where I go when I am in need of a ton of candy and paper towels lol. We have the dollar store, family dollar, dollar tree all within a few miles of where I live.

Yes, I love dollar stores. My favorites are Dollar General and Dollar Tree. Usually, I only go there when I need a few things like household items or something that is cheaper than going somewhere else.

I use to really like to shop at the Dollar Tree. I still do if I need something and they have it. But the thing is I have noticed a lot of times I buy something there and it is cheaper at Walmart. And I have bought several items that did not even work when I got them out of the package. Our Dollar Tree has a real bieotch for a manager. Once you take it out of the store it is yours - no returns - no matter what. I am thinking complaints to someone higher up might change her tune. I even heard her say "If I don't like you or your attitude I can tell you to leave. I don't have to let you shop here". Pretty much since I heard her say that (she was talking about 2 women who come in that she doesn't like) I have been there maybe twice in 6 months. The only other Dollar Store we have is Dollar General and I cannot afford to shop there.

some time this shop is expensive compering in others. I am not saying for all items but some. I go there to buy my favorite soap. this I wont get anywhere else.

I do, but I have learned that not everything is a good deal there, so I am pretty careful of what I get there.

I have one pretty close to my house so when its convenient to buy something small that i would need a name brand item for i just stroll over there for the purchase.

Surprisingly they have a lot of stuff that I never knew would be at a dollar store - like fresh fruits and vegetables. It's amazing what you'll find in these dollar stores. I know some of it is junky, low ball stuff, but there's actually good name brands in some of them.

Yes I do shop at Dollar Stores. We have in my town a Dollar General that is down the street from my house and I shop there often. We also have a Dollar Tree where everything is a dollar, and I shop there a few times a month.

the dollar general near my place had clearance items all the time. i love going there. i save on groceries.

I sometimes shop at the Dollar tree. I can get makeup for $1 .. like eye shadow and blush ... why pay the expensive price in the regular store when you can get it for a dollar.

I work at Walmart but I also like to go in dollar store. Family Dollar is my faveriate. Hope everyone has a good day.

I think the Dollar Tree is a better value than the Dollar General, although I do go into both.

I like the Dollar Tree, especially for items like: cleaning supplies, kitchen utensils/accessories, pens and index cards, some personal items like body spray. Comes in handy for Christmas for items like: wrapping paper, tissue paper, gift bags, Christmas cards.

I love shopping at dollar stores. Some times the no name brand is better than the name brand.

Yes we stop and shop at dollars stores. We don't shop there every week, but we do go in a few times a month.

You can get some really good buys at the dollar stores. I mean where can you get 6 sponges for a dollar much less a large bottle of dish detergent.

we have several dollar stores in our city. i always check the ads and weigh the prices against the the prices at the big box stores if i can buy it cheaper i defiantly go to the dollar stores especially if i can use mfg coupons as well.

No I don't - there are a couple of things here and there I might would pick up at Dollar General - our town isn't that big and we have about six of them lol - but I ride a shuttle for the disabled and once you get to your destination you might get stuck there for up to two hours and I have no desire to be in a Dollar store for two hours as I wouldn't buy that much.

There are 2 dollar stores within walking distance of my house, I don't go too often, it's way too easy to get into trouble.

yes...I just moved to a new city a few years ago and I hadn't visited a dollar store...and just went to one about 6 months ago and now I go almost once a week. its really helped my finances and I have the stuff I need. I don't get everything there...but new stuff comes in all the time and for shampoo and conditioner and stuff like that a dollar is an amazing price...take care all...

I visit dollar stores, but not very often. Perhaps in more recent times I've been unimpressed with the selection. I've seen the selection and potential good sales from bargain stores in general have fallen.

I like all the $stores. but I have a hard time finding things made in the good old USA. most of the cheap items are all made in china and not worth the money paid for the, I went to some other stores to but some new dress pants and every dang thing was imported. The sizes are true and when you wash them some fall apart. Even the expensive stores are selling the cheaply made stuff. Oh well will have to decide on something . Don't think the church would want me showing up naked let alone the stores.

All the time the dollar store in my area is huge and prides itself in having brand name things they even have carts for people so they dont feel like cheap people for not having as much money others

I do like the Dollar Store. I shop there regularly mostly for household cleaning supplies and such. They also have great deals on greeting cards. A funny thing happened to me about two days ago. I went to the Dollar Store for a couple of things and I found a dollar on the floor. When I mentioned it to my husband, I then told him that I would be going to the Million Dollar Store next!!! LOL. ;)

Occasionally when I need some balloons or other gift bags I visit dollar stores.

Yes, I love the dollar stores. There are certain items that I like to purchase at different dollar stores for example vases for wedding arrangements, aqua beads, jelly beads, gift wrap, gift bags and all occasion cards just to name a few. ;)

Sure do why wouldn't I. Get all your cleaning supplies and all kinds of cool stuff for a buck. Why spend more for something when you can get it for less. That is just smart shopping especially when you don't have a bunch of money and laid off.

Yes, I do. I prefer Family Dollar over Dollar General. I have been shopping at Dollar Tree more lately. They sell thin ribeyes, 2 pk tilapia fish, chicken etc for $1.

If you want to save money you have to shop at the dollar stores.

Dollar General is 10 miles from me and they have great prices. I would have to drive another 15 miles to get to walmart which wouldn't save me any money by the time I drive there. I live in a rural mountain area and I'm at least 10 miles from any retail stores.

I go to actual dollar stores (where things cost $1) and the Dollar General, Family Dollar types where things aren't actually $1.
I don't usually do a lot of shopping there, but sometimes they have the water enhancers (like Crystal Light but in different brands) or school supplies like flash cards. I go through flashcards like a crazy lady!

I still shop at my local Dollar General for a few items. I like to buy their $1 cookies and they have cute greeting cards for a dollar or less. But I don't shop there as often as I used to as their prices are no better than HEB or Walmart and sometimes their prices are higher than the big stores. So I'm not really saving money.

There isn't really any around me so unless i am really trying to save money on something and i happen to be passing by one usually don't shop are dollar stores.

I shop at dollar stores whenever I get the chance but we do not have one in our town at this time. I always keep my eyes open for one, especially Dollar Tree, when I am in a larger city but the closest is about 70 miles away.

I do on saturdays because you get 5 dollars off of 25 dollars. the food is not cheaper then the grocery stores in products like cheese though.

Yes, I do, almost evey week. My granddaugther should have stock in the store, she likes to go and I take her and end up buying things I need as well.

Yes, they finally put a dollar store in my small town. Thank goodness I don't have to drive 6 miles to get laundry soap anymore.

Yes, but I wouldn't say "conveniently". But I do like to do general shopping in them. We have several of the more well known places, like family dollar, dollar general and dollar tree. I especially like dollar tree, because everything really is a dollar, and have yet to find anything more than $1, on the other hand, I also tend to spend more while I'm there thinking I'll save money.

Those are the only places left that we can afford to shop at, and even then we can't really afford to get much. It's okay for some things but there's just not the kinds of quality items we need but we have to make do with what we can get when we can actually get it. :-\

I go to Dollar Tree on a weekly basis. I always buy certain things there that are much cheaper and I always find new interesting items in the store.

We have about 6-7 different varities of dollar stores in our little 25,000 populated town. The family dollar here is the one I go to most often. I don't buy a lot of stuff there but usually go there maybe 1-2 times a month.

I find myself at Dollar Tree nearly everyday lol I love our dollar store, it has so much good stuff! All Dollar Trees are not the same by the way.

I do, there's a .99 cent store and they have good food. Veggies, fruit, milk I like to shop for.

When I was driving I went to the one where EVERYTHING IS A DOLLAR and I get miffed when they want $5.

I just walked over to one close today, but they didn't have what I was looking for so I didn't buy anything.
I did notice that they had some great items for Christmas, I'll have to keep that in mind when I shop for gift wrapping bags after Thanksgiving.

I love the dollar store, but you know there used to be one here called Little bucks. I loved that store then it went out of business here anyway. I wonder if there is another one somewhere in another state.

I love shopping at dollar stores! We have one around here called "Everything's A Dollar" and it is truly fantastic at the bargains you can find!

I do quite a bit, there is one close to my house and you can get a lot of your daily supplies there and they do just as good of a job as the stuff you get anywhere else

I don't think I can fully express how much I love the dollar stores. Having young children will definitely do that to you lol. I reward my children with dollar bills for doing things without having to ask them. Such as making the bed or cleaning their room. And at the end of the week, I take them to dollar store and they can buy whatever they want. We have the Dollar Tree over here so everything in the store is a dollar. Plus, sometimes the dollar store has things that actually work for a long time.

Yes, especially between paychecks. They have such good deals there you can pile up on the essentials. I have dreadlocks and I can only find my lock gel at dollar stores, I guess because its discontinued or something.

We have a Dollar General in our town. I do stop in at times, but since I joined a Cash Back site, I more often just log on and do my Dollar General shopping from home. I earn 9.2% Cash Back on my household supplies....toilet paper, dishsoap, shampoo, cat litter...... Love it!

I shop at dollar stores. We have two in the small town where I live. Dollar Tree really is a dollar store; in that, everything costs $1 or less. They have a shelf milk that I love and can't buy anywhere else in town. We also have a store called Family Dollar; however, it's a bit deceiving because most items are priced higher than a dollar.
I'm usually fascinated with the inventory in dollar store because they stock very unique and quirky items. :heart:
