Do you do thing last minute?

Yes I'm rather bad about procrastinating. Things always take longer than I think they should.

I definitely follow the procrastinator's credo, "Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow?" I'm a big time procrastinator, but I also work very hard at the last minute when things come down to wire with dedication. I think something about having that super eminent deadline motivates me.

Yes, sometimes but not often. I like to get things done and over with, so I can move on to something else.

I'm a reformed perfectionist, I've grown to find that seeking to get things perfect is the biggest form of procrastination.

Almost never. I am just not one who will wait until the last minute to get something done. There is enough stress in life to add to it with procrastination.

Yes, I am when it comes to something that isn't pleasant for me but I will get it done.

Not at all. I cannot stand that, it just makes my anxiety worse. In fact, i am one of those people who never stops because i have to get it done as soon as i know about it!

I urks me when others procrastinate. I do not. I have my calendar with TTD notes so that I can make sure that I get things done and on time (if not before).

I guess it depends on the task. Some thing I like to do ahead of time and with other things I work better under pressure. But yes, I do procrastinate.

Well, yes. I actually do procrastinate. I think most people do in different degrees.

not too much...I think of myself as super productive. I try and wake up early and get the things I don't want to do done first. procrastinating only makes things worse usually...

As life gets busier and as I've gotten older I feel there is too much to do and oftentimes I do find myself procrastinating on things I'm only halfheartedly willing to do. I've got projects I say I'm going to do that was declared years ago unfortrunately.

Oh yes. Definitely. It's terrible, really. Especially when it comes to an occupation or school! It's a tough pattern to break.

Yes, I do have a habit of procrastinating. Back in college, I waited until the last few days to begin working on projects, and sometimes stayed up late so I could finish on time.

Yes, I'm a procrastinator with a perfectionist attitude. When I get something done, it's great.
I actually think that people procrastinate for different reasons... Some will put off doing things that they don't want to do (or even accept that they need to do). Then there are people (like me and evidently Getinonthis) that are perfectionists so don't want to do something (or at least finish it) unless they know they can do it perfectly. There are the "engineers" (again more like mean; it somewhat goes along with the perfectionist attitude) that tend to over-analyze a project instead of just doing the work. Finally there are those that use procrastination as a motivational tool; they only work on stuff when they're under the gun to get it completed.

Yes sometimes I do and in most times it doesn't end well or in time. I try not to and keep motivating myself to do better.

Yes, generally a procrastinator but I am now trying to follow the advice I heard somewhere a few weeks ago. "Eat the frog" first every day. Basically, do the most unpleasant thing or thing you want to do least first off in the day. That way, you feel better and even if you procrastinate on everything else you have still got one big thing off your plate each day.

I do procrastinate sometime but I try not to let this happen too often. I enjoy staying on top of things and scheduling so everything falls in line. ;)

Yes, all the time. As an example, this month is almost over and I still have most of my 30 posts to do to get my bonus. :sweat:

Oh yeah I do, I was bad at in school, and I am bad at it still as an adult, except at work so that isn't so bad right? lol

When I was young I used to be especially with school work. Particularly writing or English assignments. I wait until the last minute to write an essay. Or even on Here on the Forum. I think it is the "writing" part the I usually procrastinate but other than that, I am not on a lot of things that I considered "very important."

I try not to but sometimes I let time get by me to quickly before getting into action.

All the time. What's really bad too is that when I was in school I would generally end up doing things at the last minute mostly because I had so much homework that I just got to things when I got to them. The bad thing though was I could crunch out a 10 page paper about some topic I didn't know anything about till 4 hours ago, and I'd generally get a 93-99% on it, generally only losing points for stuff like spelling or punctuation because I ran out of time to proof read it carefully.
The worse part is the papers I seemed to study for and take my time on didn't get as high a grade. So it's like the stress of the situation made me work better. Not exactly the type of cycle you want to get into.

That's me exactly! Procrastination is my middle name, and nothing motivates me like last minute deadlines.

Yes I procrastinate all the time and I do not like it . I often have to rush at last minute preparations.

I tend to procrastinate more often than not, but it is a habit that I am trying to break, especially when it comes to my school work.
I typically do well at the beginning of the year, but by mid semester I tend to slip back in to my old procrastinating ways. So far I'm doing well this semester! I hope it sticks!

Most of the time when something needs to be done I usually try to get on it right away. But my husband is one of the worst. Most of the time I clean the house but because of my back and leg all he has to do is vacuum. Some time I have to say something 4-6 times before he gets it done. Same way mowing the lawn. His mama nicked named him pigpen and it is true. But He has been good to me and my family. Loved my son like he was his own. And cried right along with my daughter-in-law when he passed away. so I guess I can put up with some things.

Well it depens some times I Waite till the last minuet . usualy because it requires money and until January i don't have much .

I don't procrastinate but my husband is the worlds biggest procrastinator! He's always been that way and I guess he always will. I like to get things done and it does irratate me that he's that way but I just try to let it go.

Sometimes I do, but I try to stay away from it - I strive to, with God's help, be the best Proverbs 31 woman that I can be, and Proverbs 31:27 describes a Proverbs 31 woman as a woman who, "..looks well to the ways of her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness."

Oh yes. I am guilty of procrastination. I could probably be a professional at it. haha I try not to put off the important things to the last minute though, but sometimes there just isn't another option other than putting things off until later (whenever "later" is). :P

I always procrastinate. Right now, I have a bunch of half-finished Christmas ornaments that I should have finished and listed on Etsy weeks ago, and here I am, trying to get my 30 posts for the month on FC, because I only have 2 days left!

I procrastinate a lot. I am trying very hard to stop this procrastination. It is not good for me as a person and certainly not good for my job. I even ask God to help me putting an end to this. I think it is a sign of laziness.

It depends on what it is. I like to plan ahead, but sometimes even with planning ahead I still wait until the last minute to do something! I try not to, I definitely like to be ahead of the game.

I procrastinate sometimes, but if I really want to finish something, then I stay up late and get it done.

Considering it's the 29th and I'm trying to get all 30 posts in, yeah, I'd say I'm a procrastinator. Sometimes it's not by choice though since I went to a college prep high school that would give us tons of homework for almost every class, so you basically had to prioritize things, which meant pushing others aside.

I used to be really bad at that but i have gotten a lot better at just getting things done which makes for a lot less stressful lifestyle.

I do this all the time and its a bad habit because you seem to miss what you want to do and let it pass you by at times which isn't a good thing it could put you in that rut for a while and be hard to get out

I do this way to much and really mess myself over when something comes up that i want wait then its gone. Its happen way to many times

No, it's more like the minute after the last minute. lol Yes, I have gotten worse at procrastination. I've always had a bit of a procrastinationitis case but I know it has worsened over the last 8 years. I do still try hard to not keep putting things off so much, but I don't always succeed at that. :-\
