Title: televison
Post by: LaKecias on September 30, 2014, 09:50:43 am
Did the tv standards change, if so when? The things they say and do on tv theses days are crazy. I almost don't want my children watching.

Yes they changed and I guess it was a few years ago but it was a gradual thing. It's the same way with language and how it has changed. People using their thumbs to type on cell phones and breaking language down to letters and numbers to text and comment on posts. It's okay but over time our written language will break down and children will have a hard time reading and spelling as they will have learned this broken language and it will become the new way of writing and communicating. Another generation will not even be able to read proper writing. I guess it's just the way of the world.

They have already stopped teaching cursive writing in school, which doesn't make much sense to me.
You still need to take notes in class or in conferences.   Now they are going to just have to print fast, I guess.  Not everywhere allows the use of computers to type notes.

I always monitored what my children watched on TV. TV is not kosher anymore.
