I always start with the Kitchen but I wondered how everyone else cleans house. What room do you clean first and what room do you clean last? ???

I usually start with the kitchen too. Then both bathrooms, and the rest of the house. I end up back at the kitchen, usually to clean some more. So I start and end with the kitchen. :)

i usually start with the kitchen, then living room, master bedroom, bathroom, hallway, then finish rest of the place.

The living room, so if anyone drops by it's already clean.

This question made me laugh because there is no rhyme or reason to the way I clean. I may start one place and move on to somewhere else before I'm finished. All it takes is to find something I need to take to another room and I'm on to something else.

I start with the two bathrooms first, bedrooms, living room/den are generally last. I usually do not have to do much in my kitchen as I am a stickler for a clean kitchen, so I clean every day as we use, dining room is not used that much so it stays pretty clean, just need touch up as does the second bedroom.

I start with what ever room needs it first( i dont clean all of my house in one day)

I usually start with the kitchen and proceed through the main floor. Then the upstairs. Basement is last.

It depends on what looks the worse, but even if I can't clean the entire house, I do not clean the bathrooms every week and the Kitchen every day. But with 3 floors in my house if I have to clean the house then I start on the basement since is the least dirty of them. then move to the bedrooms and last the kitchen and livingroom

I also start cleaning my kitchen then I move to the bathroom then I move to one of the bedrooms.

I start with dusting all the furniture, then I clean all glass surfaces, lamps, wall art, etc. Finally I vacuum and wipe up the tile floors. Oh, I forgot, I wash the bird cage in the shower. I don't go thru this whole process every week...just once every five years...hahaha.

I aTry to keep my kitchen clean on a daily basis after I do dishes so when I start to clean other rooms, I start with two bathrooms, then move on t vacuuming the whole hoUse, then dusting the whole house, then cleaning out the fridge. I generally do the laundry on some other day.

It's usually the kitchen, bath then bedrooms. Or sometimes I may reverse it all. It's not a standard for me.

I always start in the kitchen too run the dishwasher and go on to the next.

I normally like to start with the rooms that I can clean the fastest so I can move on to the next room. The faster I can clean the more rooms I can complete in a shorter period of time. So my starting point varies it just depends on which room needs the least attention. :)

start in the kitchen since I have to cook breakfast and do the dishes. Then it depends on the weather, if it is nasty and hubby is home, he vacuums for me. Right now am kinda limited on what I am doing. Once they get my heart settled down and thyroid straightened out I will be back up to speed.

I usually start either in the living room or the kitchen. After that, I continue cleaning the first floor and usually finish with the bedrooms on the second floor.

Kitchen is always clean, it drives me nuts if its dirty. We have an open concept so the living room and kitchen are together and constantly seeing dishes would drive me insane lol, but first thing I start with the bedrooms making beds picking up laundry ect then the master bathroom gotta pick that up! And I usually finish by picking up and organizing the living room

since my kitchen so big i start with muy bath rooms i have 3 bathrm to clean than i move on to bed rooms and than dining area and than kithen than i start my floor as there all tile alot work and i end up in my screen room and take me most of the day and i have living rm rug to vaacum

I start in the kitchen also, because I start right after breakfast. Then to my room

I'd say either kitchen or bathrooms, then move to living room and bedrooms.

I don't have a specific routine as to which place to clean first except the one the needs the most of my undivided attention. But the most important ones to me are the sink(kitchen), Bathrooms, and the dinning room. The rest of the other rooms are easy to clean because they are not the most frequent and traffic areas in the house.

I always start by cleaning the bathroom first and then the kitchen. Those are the two most used and important rooms in the house. I leave the bedrooms for last.

I sweep the floor first and then clean the bath room, our room , kitchen and living room.

The kitchen is the one biggest room that needs to be mopped. My mom would take all the chairs and put them in the living room while she mopped. Then, she would move onto the vacuuming the living room. Stairs are a difficult chore, if you have them in your house. Children should participate [we did] in the responsibility of vacuuming their own bedrooms.

My bathroom is first room I will clean.

I start with laundry, that gets the hot water going, then I stick dishes in to soak, and stick the dogs outside, so I can pick up their toys from all over the floor, vacuum, and then let the dogs in, and I go do the dishes, however the dogs promptly run and dig all their toys back out of the toy box, and one would never know I just picked them up and vacuumed lol

I think my room. :) I don't even know which one to start first when it cleaning time. But usually I start with my room and then the other part of my house.

Typically it's the kitchen, just out of necessity for clean dishes. Sometimes it's the bathroom if it gets so bad I can no longer stand it.
The rest of the house gets cleaned when the clutter becomes too much or the dust bunnies start breeding in the corners.

bedrooms then bath rooms then front rooms then kitchen just works best for me in that order that way i am taking all the trash and drinks etc to kitchen without a lot of repeated steps

My bathroom. More so than ever with the mildew :/

I usually get most of the kitchen done, then I'll do the bathrooms and all the while I have the washer and dryer going. I'll then clean the den, dust, then mop the kitchen, den and bathrooms. I save the bedrooms for last just in case I can't get it all done.

kitchen first especially after cooking and last is the bathroom, and have a nice bath after cleaning

I start in the bathroom and take all the laundry down to get started come back up to vaccum through the upstairs 3 bedrooms then head back downstairs and work in the kitchen and laundry same time it takes quite some time because I take many breaks

I think most of us would start with the kitchen. First we have to have our coffee, maybe breakfast.
Clean the kitchen, then go for the bedrooms. The bathroom is the last one of course ::)

I start with the kitchen, and end with the bathrooms, usually. Cleaning is actually stress relieving.

I live in a two story house. I usually start out in the living room downstairs. When I'm upstairs, I start out in the master bedroom. Sometimes I do the different floors on different days as downstairs gets more traffic.

Sometimes I start in the living room though...depending on how badly I need to clean.

Well, I usually will sweep the kitchen and bathroom floor first. Then mop the floors and while the floors are drying, I vacuum the whole house. After that I dust the family room and the bedrooms. I then clean the bathroom. After that, I will make the whole house smell great using some kind of air freshener. I love the Autumn air fresheners I usually stock up on them and use them all year round. I then go to work on my computer and have something to eat or lay down and take a nap! :-[

I clean the Kitchen first, then the bathroom,living room and last I do the bedroom. When I'm finished, it's close so I lay down and rest.

Like a member mention, the living room first since someone might stop by for a visit and it'll be clean.

i will always start with the dishes and the clothes once all that is cleaned up i will do the vacuuming and the dusting my cleaning is very structured lol

When I clean I usually start in the Kitchen first because that is where we prepare meals and it needs to be cleaned daily so that we can't get any bacteria into our food. Than I go to the living room and the bathroom is last because when I am done cleaning I want to take a shower so I clean the bathroom except the shower and than I get ready for my shower and I clean the shower first and than I shower and everything is done and clean as well as I am.

It depends on what needs cleaning and what type of cleaning needs to be done. If I'm vacuuming the house, I usually start with my bedroom and work my way from one end of the house to the other. Usually rooms get cleaned at different times as needed.

I clean the kitchen first!

The living room, so if anyone drops by it's already clean.
The living room should be clean so I guess it is good to do it first.

I start with the bathroom, which I usually clean the most out of all rooms.

I start in the kitchen and then don't get too far. I always think its because that's where the big screen tv is...but you always have dishes.

I don't clean my place as I live in assist living and they do all the cleaning for me.
