Title: waking up in the morning
Post by: Gerianne on October 05, 2014, 09:02:26 am
what is your way to wake up?
do you have a hard time?
do you like to wake to music? ( my favorite)
do you like talking alarms on the computer to wake up? I love mine. There is a setting you can use to enter a message to yourself to wake up.

I just wake up and get out of bed. I don't do anything special.

I usually have my alarm set at 5:15am but I always wake up around 4am. Once I'm up I'm usually up for the rest of the day. Waking up to music would probably scare me out of my sleep lol.

Since I retired. I have turned into a night owl.  I stay up at night a lot on the computer (not for games - just FB and surveys) and I read or crochet late at night.  Therefore, I sleep in the next day.  I love it!!  I think I was meant to be a night owl.

When my sons lived on their own they would call me in the morning or text me to wake up - now that they live with me they knock on the bedroom door to wake me up because I tend to just not want to get up.   :silly:

Waking up in the morning is a blessing.  The first thing I do when I wake up is thank the Lord for blessing me with another day.  For me, waking up is simple.

I wake up to a very annoying alarm clock. I am certainly not a morning person but it is just one of those things...

My schedule varies so my wake up time is not the same each day (not healthy i know).

the dog next door sees to it that i dont get to sleep through to my alarm either. Have talked repeatedly to owners and called the police and still a problem. I actually have my house on the market so that I can move, maybe then i will be able to get some sleep.

Wouldn't a set of noise cancelling earphones be cheaper?

If I have to get up early for work I set my phone ans watch.  If I don't have to get up early I don't set anything.

Waking up for me is not easy. First off I need to force myself out of bed. Then I cannot look or talk to anyone until I have my coffee. Then I am usually okay.

Have to get up at 5 AM to get the kids up for school. My daughter is in middle school and they start very early - 6:45 AM. And my son is in Kindergarten and his start time for school is 7:45.

LOL, they would, tried that. I cant sleep with them in - they are uncomfortable, when i move they fall off, etc.. I also need to hear some noise to sleep (e.g., my fan).  I can still hear the dog through them, just muffled. I have tried everything. Even replaced windows on my house, which it needed anyway.

The dog barks nonstop not just at night, so it makes being outside miserable (yard work, patio time, pool time, etc.). There is no fix for bad neighbors  :(

My heart is with you sgluckadoo. Wherever I live I always have neighbors with yappy dogs that bark at everything. It feels as though it is incessant. Don't get me wrong. I love animals, but I don't want to hear them all the time. Quiet is healing.  Noise damages you.  :bad:

As to the question at hand, I don't have problems waking up. I have an internal alarm. After years of getting up pretty early for kids and for work, I don't even worry about setting an alarm.

Thanks for the kind words. It just amazes me that people can be so inconsiderate. I have a dog and she gets barky every now and then, and when she does I call her inside. I really can't blame the neighbors dog, he is just neglected, but I still feel so much anger on a daily basis because of the situation.

I use to have a hard time getting up in morning.  But now I can get up and get ready for work with no trouble at all.  Hope everyone has a good day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.

I usually wake up around anywhere between 8am to 11am. I'm not much of a morning person, so I have a alarm set for most days.

I don't have any particular way of getting up.  We're retired so I just get up when I'm ready or when my back starts hurting; whichever happens first.  I've started turning my clock face down so I'm not tempted to turn over a bunch of times during the night to check the time and that seems to be helping some with my sleep issues.

I wake up pretty early.  I keep care of pets in my home so I like to get up early and let them out.  I get about 5 or 6 naturally.  I also like daylight...more than night so I like to get up and enjoy the day.

I like to get up and have breakfast at around 8 am every morning but I have to set an alarm to get me awake by that time. Without an alarm, I could lounge around in bed until 10 or 11 with no problem.

I generally wake up naturally; alarm clocks, phones throw my day off; I like to wake up and do silent meditation and some stretching.

waking up in the morning is usually not a big problem for me, I rely on my "internal clock" and that is usually enough - up the same time every day!

I have an annoying beep for my alarm.  Its so annoying you have to wake up and turn in off.  Then I pop out of bed, and get ready for a new day. I like to go to bed and I like to get up.
