Title: Cheaper Gas Prices
Post by: misi49 on October 29, 2014, 08:42:31 pm
It's nice to see the price of gas going down.  I live in Texas and currently the cheapest is $2.65 a gallon.  Lot cheaper than it's been in a long time.  I wonder how long will it last.  Through the elections?  Through the Christmas holidays?

Well, gas here in NYC is still over 3 dollars. But, I believe they toy with us. They lower the prices than make some stupid excuses to raise the prices. They can sell gas for 10 cents a gallon and still make billions. This is an example of corporate greed.

Wow! I didn't know gas was so low in some parts of the country. It's still $3.34 in upstate NY. I read in the newspaper that the only things that would keep the national average from falling below $3.00 were New York and California.

It is very nice our area is 2.89 but we have a grocery store in our area that offers money on their gas card for items you purchase at their store.  i have a lot of friends that only pay pennies for gas.

I'll take the lower gas prices as I definitely need to save for the holiday shopping expenses. I wish days like this can last. However, I remember when we use to complain when prices hit $2 too.

I'm in Texas too and paid $2.67 for gas this morning at the Murphy USA gas station at Walmart.  That's the cheapest I've seen around here.  I have a brother in SC that sent me a picture thru text of a station in his town that was $2.50.  I told him if it keeps going down maybe I could afford to drive there to see him again this year.  Doubt if it'll get much lower though.

The price of gasoline is going down because demand has dropped some in China and India and fracking in this country is a big help too.  The Keystone Pipeline would lower the price even more if it could be built as it should be.

It seems to me every year as soon as summer ends (when most people travel)...gas prices drop.  And then summer they creep back up.  Ive paid under 3.00 the past couple times I filled up and i'm happy.

Been watching the gas prices gradually drop around here, too. I paid $2.92 for gas a couple days ago; sure hope it continues to drop in price.

Love, love, love the lower gas price.  Today, here in Michigan, prices are around $2.70!  Hopefully, they will remain stable for awhile; however, the price of oil is so dependent upon international events and economies that who knows?  This is why the U.S. must develop alternative energies, all the while watching our environment.  We must balance these two issues for the well-being of future generations.  We must not be selfish at the expense of our earth!!!!!!!!

I am located up in Colorado and the Gas prices are at two dollars and ninety one cents a gallon. I do my grocery shopping at Kroger and end up getting a discount of ten cents a gallon if I have made enough purchases in the last month which isn't very difficult with two teenagers living in the house! But I also have three cars and will be getting a fourth car in about five months when my son turns sixteen, gets his license and begins driving. I filled my tank today and am thankful whenever it costs me less than fifty dollars a tank.  I just began a new project that is only four miles from my house so a typical tank full of gas has the ability to last an entire month-unless I am going to the kids sporting events.
