i do but this year is the first time i got the flu after ii got my shot feeling drained of my engery
-
I just now started getting the flu shot. I've heard some people get sick after the shot. My kiddos both have head colds and they both had the flu shot. Hope you get to feeling better!
-
I will not get it for my son or I, hmm I did for my son 1 time and he was very sick after never again. To be injected each year with the virus is not my cup of tea. Like a experiment each year they wonder who will get sick or who will have some symptoms or who gains a strong rejection.
-
I've never had one, but my sister had one last week, and she didn't seem to have any reactions to it.
-
I have a strong enough immune system that I have no need for it yet. I'm sure there will come a time when I'm older when it will be to my advantage to get one, but for now, I feel it's better saved for those who are in greater need of the vaccine than I am.

I never had flu shots
-
I never got the flu shot. a few years ago, my spouse got it and was sick for 3 days. last time I got the flu was 5 years ago.
-
I never get the flu shot. They offer it for free at work and my doctor's office asks me when I go in if I want it, but I have heard so many stories about taking the shot and then getting the flu.
-
I received my annual flu shot...or flu mist (to be more technical). I prefer the mist because: (a) I despise needles and (b) I was told that the flu shot makes one more sick. Personally, I think one stands an equal chance of getting sick from both methods.
-
No i do not get the flu shot i just have never done it. I really don't like the idea of putting that into myself my body will build up its immunity against the flu by itself.
-
I did this year first time I had insurance.
-
Yes we get a flu shot every year. My husband works at the school, so there children that bring it too school every year. Hubby would catch it right away with out the shots. The first year he subbed he caught it 3 times. Now he has not had the flu in six years. Of course if he caught it, I would get it. I believe in the shot or mist and it is not fair to send your child too school with the flu if he or she has it because you would not prevent it. And infect others.
-
I've gotten the flu shot for the last four years, mainly because my husband wants me to, as he gets one also. I have never felt sick after getting it.
-
I already have mine on October doctor visit. I have to take one every year.
-
i haven't got the flu shot or the flu for many years
-
I have never gotten a flu shot and I don't intend on getting one any time soon. I have heard too many stories of people getting sick after receiving one. My best defense against the flu is avoiding people who are sick and washing my hands as often as possible.
-
I've not had a flu shot in about ten years.
The one and only time I got one was when I had insurance, and I was dealing with the public every day.
It was also the one and only time I ever had the flu.
-
Yep I get the flu shot every year I need to being a diabetic.
-
yes I c still get a liitle sick..but the illness only lasts 2-3 days rather than 2 weeks
-
I have never gotten a flu shot but i am considering the consequences of getting one and not getting one. I know all health professionals seem to recommend them.
-
I've taken one flu shot in my lifetime several years ago and I never get the flu. My husband takes the shot every year and comes down with the flu at least once during flu season.
-
We don't get a flu shots. But last year my 11 months old baby and I had flu. Maybe we should try to get a flu shots this year.
-
As a senior and a diabetic, I have been getting a flu shot for a number of years. One year I kept putting it off and never got it, and I was sick for two months with the flu.
-
There's so many different viruses and strains of flu always going around. The only way I could see getting a flu shot would be if there was a guarantee to be flu-free for the season. There's no guarantee & I'm sick all winter through with a flu shot or not, so I don't see any reason to get one.
-
I do. One thing I would warn everyone about is making sure the nurse injects correctly! I had an improper injection - the nurse injected way to high and it resulted in "frozen shoulder" and required physical therapy, tons of pain. I am still weak in my arm, 2 months later.
-
It drives me nuts that people think you can get the flu from the flu shot. ::)
Yes, you can still get the flu, but it is because you either already had been exposed or were exposed after the shot. The shot does not work immediately, it also does not cover all strains.
-
NO. NEVER. My body does just fine without putting that crap in my body. Haven't had the flu in many, many years and never needed the so-called vaccine to keep me flu-free.
-
I get the flu shot every year. I have lots of small children around me daily, so I get a little extra immunity with them. With the preschoolers, it seems like the give you and also get everything that is out there.
-
I don't anymore cuz I always get sick afterwards. Decided to exercise my immune system & let my body be expose to the outside germs. Too much interference w/natural exposure to bugs, virus, bacteria from the outside world will render humans no better than the boy in the bubble born w/no immune system.
-
We did, even though I don`t get sick very often. But my partner really wanna be secure from being sick.
-
Hi,
No, I have never gotten a flu shot. I have had drug reactions in the past. I have to be careful.
-
I used to but then I always get sick so I stopped doing that.
-
no,,,i hate shots!!!!!!! :monkey:
-
Yes, it's better to be safe than sorry later when you really get sick.
-
No, I never get flu shots anymore. I used anti-viral herbs like garlic, yarrow and turmeric.
-
I feel like flu shots don't even work. Either way, I'll still get sick eventually anyways.
-
I haven't this year. usually I try too and still might. I had a pretty bad reaction a couple of years so im too excited about doing it.
-
I've never had the flu shot, don't plan on getting it for myself or my kids. We've been blessed enough to not get sick. I think if they are bundled up good and maintain clean hands and avoid coughing classmates (trickiest thing to do) they will be fine.
-
That's true; my kids' pediatrician seems to get a little frustrated every year when I turn the flu shot down. But it's my choice, and I didn't like what I read when I did the research on it. Plus, I'm not big for putting chemicals in my kids unless absolutely necessary.

Me and my partner had a flu shots last month. But not my daughter. I`m kind of doubtful of getting her a flu shots too.
-
Despite the fact the flu shot is not 100% effective it is still more effective than the immune system on its own. I have been sick once after getting the flu shot but was sick several times before I started having flu shots 10+ years ago. I will take the 1 in 10 chance of getting sick even with a flu shot over the 30%+ chance that happened before the flu shot.
