Title: House Under Contract
Post by: gbabesmom on January 29, 2015, 09:09:23 am
A while back I posted about selling or fixing our house. Well in November we were contacted by a realtor interested in selling our home. So yay! Our home is finally under contract with a cash buyer and we close February 9th. I'm thrilled and scared at the same time because we don't have another home to move into yet, but we'll be staying with my brother in law. I'll miss my house, but not my neighbors that's for sure.  ;)

Good luck!  I know it is stressful selling and buying a home, but you have a place to stay while you find your perfect house.  Best wishes in your search, and I know you will find the home of your dreams!

at least you dont have to rush and try to find a new one which is really great.  such a pain just having to settle for a house because you are running out of time.

Congrats on selling your home! I am currently saving up to purchase a home next year. This year is going to be real strict on my spending so I have plenty for the down payment and any work that would need to be done before moving in.

Thanks everyone. It's been stressful for sure and I can't wait for this week to be over. My realtor keeps telling me everything is okay, but the suspense of it all is getting to me. I'll be breathing again after February 9th. LOL!

Congrats on getting your place on the MLS list and your house being sold.  Sometimes it takes a while for a house to sell.

Congratulations.  Whenever I sell something...

I experience a sense of freedom because I don't like being tied down to a lot of material things.

Well best of luck to you - look at it like an adventure.  I understand about the neighbor thing - I don't have neighbors where I live now that you can see anyway.  There are people "up the road" but in the past we never had good neighbors always some kind of weird or mean people.  I don't miss neighbors at all.  Again, good luck to you hope you find an awesome new home !

I want to sell my house and move closer to where my daughter lives.  I thought I had it sold, but the man backed out on me because his son decided to go back to school to get his masters degree.

Congratulations on selling your home! The market, in our area, rebounded for about four months during the summer with much higher prices than pre-bubble. It slowed down for about two months but then picked up again last month. We have a sixteen year old sophomore in high school and intend on staying in the house for another twenty eight months. We have set our goal on selling the house in July of 2017 and have started making little repairs and upgrades here and there. We have been in this house for twelve years and have begun to purge all of the garbage that we thought we might use someday. We have also cut back on buying junk for the house that will only end up being clutter in the long run.
