I'm old enough to know who you're talking about and I'm not a guy; however, I wanted to participate in this conversation.  When I was young I thought Ginger (the movie star) was elegant and sexy.  At least, her character tried to promote that energy.  I have met guys who are more attract to simple beauty like Mary Ann.  She was sweet, petite and down-to-earth.

Mr's Howell was the wife of Mr. Howell and she was older, wealthy and matronly.   :heart:

Lol Sherry you are so funny, I liked the professor myself. If I were a guy I would go for the girl next door Maryann :)...looks fade but the heart is FOREVER!!

Why do you have to be a guy to have a favorite female character or actress?  Or for that matter be attracted to one?  Maryann, for sure.  She was more relatable.  :star:

Well my bf and I was just wondering who a "guy" would be more attracted to when it came to these 2 women. He said most guys would want Maryann...hence the question...I should have been more specific with the question.

Ginger would marry some rich sport player or some actor like Johnny Depp.   

Where did Ginger get all her beauty supplies on that island, & why was she on that little boat.  Where were they going?  & why was the rich guy & wife not on their own yacht?
