Title: hotmail
Post by: Gerianne on February 09, 2015, 02:15:56 pm
is now Outlook email. It isn't very user friendly. I attempted to compose an email and got a "new folder" instead that links to a new tab and puts OUTLOOK in the new tab; duplicates it. Now, I have no idea how to get rid of it because I can't delete it in the usual way. I was reading that others are having this same trouble. Maybe they should change the program to a third domain name ......

Hmmm I have never had an issue.  It has been outlook for a long time.  Not sure what you done to cause the issue you described.  To compose a new email I think it says "compose" at the top left.  Or "new" or something like that.

I've never had that kind of issue, really have never had any issue with my Hotmail.   It has been Outlook for a long time.
Like Countrygirl12 said, to compose a new email just click on the top left where it says "New" and it should open automatically to a new email.

I have had hotmail for years, they changed to oulook a while back and I have never had a problem, to compose a new email I just click the New icon on the top.  Yahoo also changed and I gave them up they really are a pain in the butt, it is frustrating,  but no problems with Hotmail/Outlook at all.

I used Hotmail all the time until I got Gmail.  Hotmail is now my backup account for Facebook and offers, but it's still pretty easy to use.

I have both; a hotmail and a gmail account and I'm most accustomed to using hotmail.  I've never had a problem and sometime gmail seems like a foreign web site to me because I don't use it often enough to learn to navigate it.

The only account I gave up was my yahoo email.  It seemed like hackers were always hi-jacking my email and my friends email accounts if they were using Yahoo.

I have a Hotmail, a Gmail and several Yahoo accounts.  I think gmail is becoming my favorite.  I do like hotmail for the most part.  However, I did have an issue with it just last week.  On one of my earning sites, I requested the monthly newsletter that is produced.  I typically get a very fast response from this site but this time I was not getting any response to my request at all.

I tried subscribing several times but never got the confirmation email that I am to get.  So I decided to make my newsletter request using my gmail account.  Guess what happened?  I got a confirmation almost immediately.

Hotmail is great for some things but apparently it doesn't like newsletters.  Go figure.

I have never like outlook, it seem to hard to do anything. I maybe wrong, but when I tried it I didn't like it. I don't think it's user friendly.

I find it to be very user friendly even easier to get rid of bulk emails than Gmail.
Question:
With only one option which is NEW - in order to compose an email, how did you manage to create a new folder.
New Folder - reads new folder and is in a section under folders. To delete, right click and select delete.
Don't see what the issue is.

My issue with is that it's become too easy. lol

I have a hotmail email address and so far I haven't seen any changes.  But it's no surprise as it is always just a matter of time before they change things.  Boooo
