Title: 5.Anybody have two emails one Google one non-Google? Please Help!
Post by: MichelleHW101 on February 10, 2015, 05:56:00 am
I have a Comcast email and was having trouble receiving the daily emails from Fusion Cash.  At first I thought it was because I deleted too many of the old daily emails (I just didn’t want them clogging my inbox).  So I tried, Instead of deleting them, moving them over to a folder of its own.  Then one day when I tried to reconfirm the daily email on my fusion cash account Comcast flat out blocked it.  (Received that message on my Fusion Cash account).  So I decided to set up a Google Email specifically for fusion cash emails.  And for Fusion cash, it’s been working out great.  I get all the emails I’m supposed to from Fusion cash and nothing is blocked.  The problem is all the other websites and accounts I use such as Stream, Best Buy, Barnes & Noble, Amazon etc, are connected to my Comcast email and NOTHING is getting through to that email.  Even when Google sent a verification email to the Comcast email to import my list of contacts it never went through.  I have even sent myself through an Ipad, an email to the Comcast email.  Twice.  Both times nothing got through.  I know it must be a settings thing because I used to daily get emails to the Comcast email and nothing has been sent to the Comcast email from the day I set up my Google mail account.  Anyone know what to do?

I have tried to add my Comcast email to my google account which it did but no email actually being sent to my comcast email gets there and nothing shows up in my google email that anything has been sent.  Again this all started when I set up my google email account.

I have even switched users, switched search engines from Google to Explorer and still no mail is going to the Comcast account.  I can’t close the Google account to see if that would help because then I loose my fusion cash emails which Comcast blocked (my whole reason for setting up the Google account).

You should contact Comcast tech support to see if they can find the problem.

I use Gmail for everything except one account I have with my hosting company. I have an optin list I run and if you don't use the same server for the return address, Gmail tags all emails with a warning that I don't want to have. It says something about the email not being from the person you think it is and you might be a victim of phishing.

It sounds like there is a problem with YOUR google account.  Have you checked your settings?

All I can think of is when I set up my gmail to receive fusion cash emails I was asked if I wanted my default email to be the gmail or the comcast email.  I went and clicked the gmail.  Now I can’t switch them back because when a validation is sent to the comcast account it doesn’t make it through.  Google must be blocking everything and I can’t change every single website I use to my gmail account.  There’s just too many I use to do that.

I have posted the question on the gmail forum and all I get in reply is that gmail doesn’t block emails from another account.  Well that’s what’s happening.  Google is filtering all incoming emails and if it’s not sent to my gmail it goes…somewhere but not to my inbox to the Comcast account.  Even when I email myself using another computer or another search engine it doesn’t make it to the inbox of the Comcast account like it did prior to me setting up the gmail.  So, if it is a settings issue on my gmail account (Like I believe it is) what specific settings do I need to change to get google to send everything to my comcast account?  All I really want headed to my gmail is the fusion cash stuff.  And that’s the only email I’ve been getting.  It doesn’t matter who sends it or what computer is being used.  Nothing is getting through to my Comcast inbox.

Ugh... Comcast support and services are dreadful... It's like they feed on your misery... You must've put a flag on it to determine that it is spam... Check you account options and clear any flags pertaining to fusioncash and other stuff you want to receive mail

I have 4 email account. Yahoo, College email, Gmail, and hotmail. Yahoo is a piece of s***, so much downtime and the support is like Comcast (non-existence)... I have no problems with Gmail and Hotmail

You may want to consider setting up a different e-mail account to get everything else. I use google for FC and hotmail for everything else. Honestly it sounds easier to set up a new e-mail address at a different site at this point.

I was talking to Google and they kept insisting it was not them.  That they do not block mail.  I kept insisting Google MUST be filtering the email because nothing was getting through to my Comcast account.  Since they insisted they were not doing it, I deleted my gmail.  The moment I did so, I went back to fusion cash, changed my email setting back to my Comcast email then had fusion cash send me a confirm email.  I then went to my Comcast email and boom.  There was the fusion cash email.  I clicked on it to confirm so that my account is all good with fusion cash then I went onto my ipad and sent myself an email.  I went back onto my desktop a few moments later and the same thing.  I GOT THE EMAIL!  Something I could not do as long as I had a gmail account.  So gmail for me was a piece of crap because what was happening to me they claimed shouldn’t happen and it was.  I don’t know how all of you with gmail make it work because I couldn’t.  But to make sure get the fusion cash stuff, which started the whole mess, I have my Comcast settings check on ‘send me a copy of spam’ so everything should wind up in my inbox.

This is just getting too frustrating!  Google MUST be filtering all incoming mail!  Nothing is even getting into my spam or trash inbox in my Comcast account! (Like Google claims it should.) Where the emails are going I have no idea.

How is it possible that I am getting filtered email from Google if Google is not filtering mail?  I had no problems getting email sent to my Comcast account prior to setting up my gmail.

There must be a Google setting that Google is denying because there is no way Google is not filtering my email and blocking anything being sent to my Comcast account when I can’t even email myself using a different computer with a different search engine.

I am afraid to set up a yahoo account (if Comcast continues to spam the fusion cash and I can’t figure out the settings to un-spam it because I think I did accidentally flag it to spam thinking it was a mark as important flag) because I am afraid that the same thing with Gmail will happen with yahoo.

I am just tired of companies, rather than taking responsibility for their software or product, they blame you.  Like Google.  I don’t know how many times I said, “All I did was follow the instructions to set up a gmail.”  I didn’t touch any settings on my computer.  I didn’t touch any settings on my Comcast account.  I just made a gmail.  And from that moment on I got nothing going to my Comcast account.  Not even to the trash bin of the Comcast account (Like they claimed.)  So I deleted my gmail from my account.  The moment I did so I got everything going back to my Comcast account email.  Somebody want to tell me if I was at fault how could I immediately get everything going back to my Comcast email the second I deleted my gmail?

The only reason I created the gmail was because I must have flagged the fusion cash daily email in my Comcast Email by mistake.  That I will admit too.  I get it now because I have the setting ‘copy spam to inbox’ checked in my Comcast Account.  Flagging the email I know I must have done.  But I did nothing else by mistake when handling the gmail—except make a gmail.  Google had to be filtering the mail even though they claimed they were not because nothing got through.  Not even when I tried to send myself an email using a different search engine on a different computer.

I just got too frustrated with Google not taking responsibility for their software and blaming me for all the emails ‘disappearing’ that I deleted the gmail from my google account.  When I did so, I started getting emails back to my Comcast account.  Clearly Google was doing something that they denied or rather there a software setting they claimed was ‘non-existent’ that was filtering my email.  Either way, it had to be their software because if it was me I could not have gotten back my emails the monet I deleted the gmail from my account.
