I had a friend that use to come over my house all the time. I notice things missing but never put two and two together. Then one day I remembered clear as day setting my new gold ring on my dresser. After she left it disappeared. Needless to say we stopped being friends and she only returned my ring. I was missing CDs and money

True friend do not steal from each other. That is a sad thing to go through, it make it hard to trust people these days.
-
Never had a friend steal from me.
-
I had a friend (or someone I thought was a friend) that stole from me a few times. Came to my senses and realized the girl was trouble.
-
Real friends do not steal from each other. Staying away from such people is good.
-
I did once and hes not a friend anymore you don't steal from your family and you don't steal from your friends and he stole from me so disrespectful
-
no I never had a friend who steals and hope I never do
-
yes,,,grrrrrrr >:(
-
No, I have never had a friend at least to my knowledge steal anything from me.
-
As far as I know, I have never had a friend steal from me. If someone did and I found out, that would be the end of the friendship. You should be able to trust a friend.
-
Thankfully no, but they wouldn't be my friends if they were to steal
-
eh..a friend stole a cd from me..we were sitting in the room listening to music and i'm like "where's such and such cd?" and he said "oh, man i got that in my car. I took it the last time i was here." wtf? We almost went to blows..but what made things worse, was he had an attitude when i walked downstairs with him to get my cd out of his car..then he said "i should've told you".....
-
what kind of friend would steal from you? I suggest they no longer come over to your house
-
I had a friend who I suspected of stealing but not from me directly. I couldn't prove it so we continued as friends. She will never know of my suspicions.
-
When I was little this kid I was friends with stole some of my toys so I stole them back. :bootyshake:
-
I'm sorry that happened to you. I have never had a friend steal from me. In fact, my best friend and I have been close for almost 20 years and there's never been a problem like that between us.

in middle school, thinking about it now it wasnt that big of a deal. someone stole some things from my locker. i'm not really acquainted with her today.

Yes i have had a friend do that and it kills me to watch it

Wow- such a shame. I have never had a friend steal from me. Ditch the so- called "friend"

I lived in Germany for a year many years ago and I had a friend there, a German woman, who stole from supermarkets every time we went shopping. I didn't notice her doing this at first, but when I did, I confronted her about it and she said she stole because she didn't have very much money. (She was a single woman with a child but no job and lived on government welfare.) From then on, I tried not to get in any situation where I would have to go shopping with her because I didn't want to get accused of stealing too if she ever got caught when I was with her. She never stole from me, though, so I didn't end the friendship over it.
-
:) (sigh) Just take it a a "lesson learned" and forgive an move on. :)
-
People do all sorts of things, I had such a friend once. just stayed away from them as to not get into any kind of trouble
-
That's terrible! this kind of friends are very selfish and they can't be called 'friends' neither, they called 'theft'
-
Yes I had about 2-3 friends who steal from me. Think god I caught on before they stole more of my stuff.
-
When I was a kid, my cousin used to steal some of my toys. I remember giving him a talking to and he promised never to steal again. But I'm pretty sure he didn't stop. :P
-
I'd say she isn't much of a friend if she is stealing from you!
-
Yes I had a friend who robbed my house. He stole many valuable things from me like: cable boxes, money video box. I confronted him and stopped talking to him.
-
Well, at least you got the ring back...that is not ok in a relationship.
-
My ex bf (who was my bf at the time) a yr ago stole from me when I was at work. At first I hadn't really noticed cause I worked long hrs and was tired when I came home. But I was cleaning one weekend and I couldn't find some my jewerly. And a few of my old antique things were missing too. He denied the whole thing and told me I must of missplaced them. How on earth can i missplace that much stuff. I told a friend of mine what was going on and she told me he could of pawned the stuff and to go to the *bleep* shop. Sure enough there was my stuff. I was so mad I could hardly think straight. After the lease was up I ditched this guy.
-
If that person steals from you, it is not a friend...it is a foe!
-
Geez that sucks, I had my own sister do that to me. We stopped talking after that and our relationship has never been the same.
-
I've never had a friend who steals from me. I'm hypersensitive and I usually don't let people get close to me until I've known them for a while. Sometimes, I've had friends who "borrow" from me and neglect to return my things.
If I ever had a friend who took my things without asking....
that would be the end of that friendship. Trust and respect for each other is a very important part of friendship.

I had a boyfriend steal my checkbook once. He gave it back but acted like he just "found" it in my car. Yeah, it was not in my car. And he only returned it after I told him I had already called the police and they were on their way to my house. Sadly, that is NOT when I broke up with him. Man, I must really be stupid!
-
Yep, they've stolen from me a few times and I dropped her after the third time.
-
I have never had a friend like this or family member.I guess i am lucky. ;)
-
That is a shame that she put items before friendship - I never had a friend that would steal from me but my siblings would and did and I don't know which is worse. But I haven't seen either of them since our mom died so that does that but they stole things from my mom also plenty of times including while she was sick in her home. Oh well at least you figured it out. Have a great day.
-
So sorry. I had a close friend who has a daughter in her teens. When the mother and daughter would come to my house the daughter would still petty stuff from our house. After I noticed some make-up gone the daughter fessed up. Needless to say I had very hard feelings for a long time.
-
Nope, I never had a friend that stole anything from me other than food... A couple of french fries when I turn my back or a juice from my frig. They would NEVER still jewelry or money from me, that's a shame. Glad you got rid of her.
-
No I never had a friend who steal, it is hard to trust anyone these days. That is not what you call a true friend at all.
-
Believe me everyone after that are friendship was over. I couldn't believe she put my material things over friendship and I have always been the type to share everything but boyfriends.
-
That is just so terrible. Makes it even harder to trust people you know and like. What happens if it's family members? Maybe lock everything before they come over to the house or even tell them they are no longer welcome at you place.
