Title: Fighting Boredom
Post by: bettey13 on March 21, 2015, 11:19:15 am
It's gorgeous outside, and in a few minutes I'll have the house to myself, great! Not so much, it seems I'm a little bored. So what are some things everyone does to fight boredom?

I am almost never bored.  It seems I hardly ever have time to get everything done.  And I don't mean housework!  I have several hobbies that I enjoy.  When I was younger and had more energy, I did a lot of volunteer work in the community.  If you have a computer, which I assume you do, there are an infinite number of activities you can access.  Right now I am doing family research, taking a course in novel writing, and working on my Bachelor's Degree.  And I have to work in my naps.  :) I'll be 73 in August.

Read, watch a movie, take a walk and there's always the never failing nap!

If I had a few minutes to myself, I'd be a sloth.  Go lay in my bed and rest my eyes for a bit.
Seems I'm always so busy, so that sounds like a luxury to me.

If I have extra free time, and don't want to be a sloth while no one is watching,  I'll go on PTC sites, that is how I fill up my down time, being productive & getting paid.  :)

I can't say that I get bored much these days either. Seems there is never enough time to get everything done that I want to get accomplished. When all else fails, go for a walk. It will ease the boredom and will be good for you too. :)

I used to knit and crochet a lot but since Facebook I go on there to keep in touch with my family and friends and play a few games with them when they come on line.

When I get bored I take the child and I turn on some music and start dancing!

I don't fight boredom. It does not fight me. I would embrace it if it meant peace from the world.  :peace:

I'm not really tolerant of people who say they are bored.  :P There are too many things to do to be bored, or to even say you're bored. Get busy, for Pete's sake.

I have to say, I think I am always busy. I never get bored.
