Title: hide and seek
Post by: Gerianne on May 20, 2015, 09:11:53 am
sometimes I am looking for something and I can't find it.
I try to think of the most logical place first of all.
there was one time when I never found what I was looking for.

LOL! What happens to me a lot is I'll put something where I'll know where it is and then when I look for said item, it's not there! Usually though, I find what I want cause I'm organized but on occasion, I play hide and seek with stuff too. I guess the Borrowers are not just urban legend after all!

I always try to find a place for everything so when I am looking for it I know where to look.  This is especially important in a small home.

I have had this happen a few times but when you sit down and rethink I normally find what I am looking for.

Yeah, that happened to me a few times. Pretty sure everyone has experienced this.

I'm very organized and have a camera in my head so I only misplace things when I break protocol.  However I had a friend who would always put down his keys then not be able to find them.  When I was present I'd ask him "Did you put them _____?"  He'd, without fail, say I wouldn't put them there and keep searching.  Finally I'd tire of his fruitless search and go look in the place I suggested and there they'd be.  He never learned to trust my built in camera.  ::)

I have discovered that I usually find things at the last place I look for them!

I try to keep everything in a central location so I can find it easily, especially if it's really important. But occasionally I'll put something somewhere and forget where I put it. That's when I usually pray to St. Anthony to help me find it!

I have one of those lantern flashlight things.  Several years ago I lost it.  I looked the entire house over.  My niece and nephew had been here.  I didn't want to accuse them of doing anything with it but my nephew did have it.  So I finally asked him if he knew where it was.  Okay, they also had been playing with one of those kitchen sets where you have the fridge, sink, oven and all the extras.  He said, oh yeah, it's in the fridge.  It needed a light in it. lol.  Smh.  I never would have found it.

Oh my goodness, my husband is terrible at leaving things somewhere and then I have to retrace his steps, because it appears I can do this more effectively than he can! He has left his wallet and truck keys on the bumper, the rear wheel, the other jacket. I find myself asking what he was wearing at the time he last saw them, what task he was starting when he lost them. Honestly it's like looking after a child. I love him dearly but at times I think I am blessed with 3 children and not two!
