Title: are you single or married
Post by: aggie49 on August 23, 2015, 09:29:48 pm: i am happily married now for 3 years but have been with my husband for 13 years and i wouldn't have it any other way we are true soul mates we can finish each other sentences we no what each other are thinking and he treats me like a princess no matter what we do we do it together and always have a great time :) 8) :angel11: :kiss:

I am reminded, by this question, of a joke that my father used to tell often (he just passed away six months ago). He used to say: "I never knew what happiness was until I got married... and then it was too late!"

But if he told that joke a hundred times, then he said at least 10,000 times to anyone and everyone he ever met (referring to my mom) "She's the best thing that ever happened to me!"

Widow, so I guess I'm single. Was married for 39 years. Trying to get used to being 1. Do like not having to answer to anyone. That is a good benefit. BMaston12

It's a lot of hard work. It's about knowing when to compromise. Also knowing when to stand your grand! I'm currently working to better my relationship. :in-love: :)

The vows say "Til death do us part" but for some it goes beyond that - I still feel the same as when my husband died and its been almost 3 years. You sound like you have a great marriage you are blessed ! :heart:

I am a widow so I guess that is considered single but I still am totally devoted to my husband who passed away in Jan 2013. I honestly don't think I will ever move on beyond that which makes me feel lonely but I still think of him and miss him every day.

I do have to mention we have been separated since 2003. His cousin and I are very close, she says she thinks I won't divorce him because I'm afraid if I were single I'd fall into another marriage regardless of it were a good or bad thing. Sometimes I think she be onto something because I do miss having someone so close to me.

Husband turned out to be a complete liar, verbal abuser, and creep. As our marriage began to break down, we both acknowledged it and agreed to move on. I then met my current boyfriend. He is honestly the best thing that has ever happened to me, and I love him so much. My divorce is in the last steps of being finalized, and since my boyfriend lives in Massachusetts and I in New Jersey, we have set a goal in mind that I will move up there in a year and a half. It sucked that I had to go through all the pain I endured during my marriage, but honestly, I feel like it had to be that way in order for me to meet the man I'm with now, and I couldn't be happier with my life as it is right now.
