I've had such a hard week. From someone stealing a lot of money from me, terrible apartment management, to difficulties at work. How do you cope with everyday stress?

One thing I do is to listen to a playlist of music that puts me in a positive mood. I'm collecting songs likePaul Stanley's "Live to Win", Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger", Pharrell's "Happy" and Black Eyed Peas "I've Got a Feeling" ;D
I may also put on a favorite album that makes me dance.
Sometimes I turn to my library and read a little Eckhart Tolle, Lynn Grabhorn, Wayne Dyer or other inspirational author. :angel11:

Inspirational quotes and books are helpful. Also volunteering for people who are less fortunate helps put things in perspective.

I'm in the same boat and I would like to know as well :(

Play music, distress with the Grandchildren. Find things that will completely take your mind off your troubles. I do a lot of crafting!!! lol Right now I am making T-Shirts with PUFF PAINT from WalMart that say CANCER SUCKS! Since my hubby has Head and neck cancer. They removed his left tonisil and two large masses in his neck. They also removed some other lymph nodes that were cancer FREE!! AMEN! So it looks like he might not have to do radiation after all. They said the choice was upto him. But the cancer could come back either way........Stressed to say the least but when I am crafting my mind is not wondering into scenerios of what if........... Hope this helps you out. :-)

I try to take it easy, I read books, have my own music to listen too and watch TV with shows and movies that I like, I also try not to think about stuff that will give me stress. I for one DO NOT take work to my home, unless it is absolutely necessary which is almost never, and leave my home problems for home. With my children being older now my hubby and me do things that pleased us and not them and just relax at home. If you let the stress get to you you will get sick, just try to find something that will keep you busy and help you forget about the problems even if it is for a few hours at a time

I have had a very stressful last couple of weeks. Very busy at work and my father is having health issues. I just keep focusing on my Hawaii vacation scheduled for next year and it brightens up my outlook on life! My lifelong goal is to make it back to Hawaii one more time (after I get back from each trip)! Stay positive and focus on the good things in life!

I read my Daily Bread and let Jesus take the wheel and ask God what he will have me to do today and ask him to guide my feet, lips and stand still. I also listen to gospel music all day.

It's hard to do but if you dig deep enough you will find a strength you didn't know you have that, coupled with your faith in God, will most certainly get you through the hard times. Here's hoping you have better, shinier days ahead.

I make sure I get my B complex with a multi-vitamin. B vitamins help us have energy and deal with the stress we encounter. I also choose to focus on the ways that I'm blessed. I have a lot to be grateful for.

I think of God. I pray to God. I meditate sitting in front of God adoring him.

I spend time with the Lord. I pray. I spend time with people who are positive.

Listen to calming music that releases my stress and I stay FAR away from negative people and people with DRAMA! Always stay positive is key!

You know I fight every minute of every day to stay positive. I am 62 years old and I have a very hard time walking, am in almost constant pain and have other medical issues. My hubby passed away in 2013 we were married 34 years and I'm not going to go on but I try every day to appreciate the good that is in my life. It isn't easy but I try to think about people who have it worse than me and to smile at people, listen to uplifting music, pray etc.

Oh and P.S. I hope things get better for you and I am sorry for the bad things that are going on with you lately.

It's hard for me at the moment, but I turn to my parents, my faith, exercise, tv/movies. I fall back into that gloom though.

It is extremely difficult for me - especially since the commitments of work and school have become increasingly stressful the past few weeks - to remain positive. The only techniques that I can think of that remotely maintains a positive outlook for me is listening to music and eating. However, those commitments always remain in the back of my mind. Once they have been accomplished can I finally take a breather.

it gets hard to do sometimes but i do it!!!!!!!!!!!!! :peace:

I find distractions to keep me from thinking about the negativity in my life. For example, I feel like I lost a close friend recently because of senseless drama, so I've been using my runs for marathon training to help me keep my mind off of her.

Make it a point to be grateful for everything good in your life. And believe it or not, it helps to be grateful for the bad things as well. God has a plan for whatever happens to you, and a bad thing could end up being a benefit in the long run. :angel11:
Don't focus on the bad things. Push them out whenever they come popping into your head and replace them with good thoughts. :in-love:
If you went to other countries where there is persecution, disease, lack of clean water, inadequate housing, etc., you would be more than thankful for what you have. We're still better off than so many other people in the world.
