No viewing preference  both are pretty;but financially $40.00- 60 for a fake is better than that amount every Christmas if your mostly broke.

Real, love the smell, but I have seen some faux trees that look just as good and you almost cannot tell the difference; I guess cost would play a factor also.

Both.

I've always had a Faux tree though because I hated always having to buy a new tree, and a lot of real trees end up in the dumpster which is sad. But when you have a wood burning fireplace those real trees make the perfect addition to a wood pile.

I'm not a big fan of the pine smell, but I know you can get essential oils you can add to your faux trees and it smells pretty much the same. The new ones come with the lights built in, too.

So I do have a lean towards the fake trees because I don't have to invest a lot into it and worry about if it's dying. I have a hard enough time keeping potted plants kicking.

But we used to have a pine tree that we decorated outside. It was the best of both worlds.

Since I live in Oregon where a good part of our economy depends on the Christmas Tree business, I vote for real.

Real ones smell good but I like the fake ones. We've always had a fake tree. I've always liked the pink Christmas trees.

I do love "real trees" but for two reasons I usually have a "fake" tree - first my cats would go bananas with a real tree and second I really am allergy to the pine scent in the house.

I prefer a live Christmas tree instead of the Fax Christmas tree.  I love the smell that goes throughout the house and it just makes me feel happy, more in tune with the holiday.

I love the smell of a real Christmas tree, but because of my allergies I can't have one.  So I guess the faux is better then  not being able to breath. Also I don't have to clean up all the needles when the tree is time too go. The last time I was in a house with a live tree, was a house a niece and I were renting. She drug this big tree home without asking me and proceeded to set it up. I came home and oh wow. had too pen all the windows for awhile. Slept with windows open in my room. Thank heavens I was not there much.  Oh yeah the gas bill was really high. And guess who finally had to take the dang  tree out. Yep me.  Kept at her to  get it down, always seemed liked she other things too do. So I just drug the whole thing out , Finally I could breath good.

my apartment isn't big enough for a tree.
I have seen tree needles all over the place when people buy the real tree.
When I was little, we had a silver one.
My brother discovered a green one you could buy with the lights on them.
You just pull the tree out of the box and fluff it out. Then, stand it up.
whichever one you buy, it won't be perfect.
There is always some challenge in putting one up.

My preference is for a fake Christmas tree. You pay for one once and can use it many times.

Real christmas trees smell good but they can dry out after a while and are messy to remove so I have been using a faux one for a long time.

I love the real trees because I love the smell and after the holidays, I can just put it outside instead of fold it and put it in a box.

I'm allergic to real trees so we have a faux tree but we use little sticks that smells like evergreens to make it feel real. I love the look of both but faux tree is the best for me.  :)

I have a fake tree.  I have kids, cats, and a massive dog.  I think he'd pee on the tree and the cats would be in it all the time.  We actually are getting a new one since ours looks like Charlie Brown's adult version of a tree.
