Do you wear shoes inside your home? I typically take off my shoes and either go barefoot or wear my house slippers (they're super comfortable). When guests are over I encourage them to do whatever is comfortable but most take off their shoes. The only time shoes stay on in the house is if we are grilling (or something equivalent outside).
What about you?

Try to keep outside shoes off in the house.
-
As soon as I get home my shoes go off and my slippers go on.
-
Same here! Shoes are not allowed in my house. We take them off in the foyer before entering the rugged area of the house. But guests are given the option and some take off their shoes and some don't. My husband is adamant about the shoe rules in the house due to his OCD! lol
-
We are not worried about guests taking off their shoes when they enter the house. We leave it up to them. I myself do not take off my shoes straight away upon entering the house. My shoes are really comfortable (Dr Scholl with built-in gel inserts!) so I don't take them off until I find my slippers. There have been occasions when I have been so busy doing jobs around the house and running errands in the town, that I have not taken off my shoes from the time I dropped my kids off at school until the time I pick them up! Of course it doesn't help that my shoes feel like slippers so most of the time, I forget to take them off!

No I don't take my shoes off. Unless they are super muddy or something. Too annoying to have to put them on every time I want to go outside.
-
we take our shoes off when we come in
-
In my culture we usually leave our shoes by the front door. But every now and then we ask our guests to leave them on because if they wearing Slippas they might not find them when they leave cause some other guests when they leave before them and have same color them might take your new ones and leave you with their old ones. LOL

I don't wear my shoes in the house. I wear socks in the winter and barefooted in summer.
-
My shoes come off when I come in the house. Just more comfortable barefoot. I keep a pair of flip flops by the door in case i need to run outside for a minute. My husband will wear his shoes all day long.
-
I take my shoes off inside the house and put on my house shoes
-
I don't take my shoes off and neither does anyone else. The difference might be I have no carpet in my home. All hardwood or ceramic tile. So if something is dirty or spilled super easy to clean.
-
I do take my shoes off, I dont insist anyone take their shoes off, unless its muddy outside, then I ask
-
I used to love to go barefoot when I was younger. We only have carpeting in the bedrooms, so the hard floors make it pretty uncomfortable to go barefoot. Not to mention the fact that I live in Arizona and as soon as the weather warms up, out come the Scorpions. Wouldn't want to step on one of those barefoot! So no, no more barefoot unless I'm on a beach!
-
I hate being barefoot, I have to keep my shoes on. Hate slippers. Don't have a single pair.
-
No I take my shoes off as soon as I come through the door if I am not going back out for the day.
-
I would love to take me shoes of in the house but because of my mild disability shoes help me walk and keep my balance. When people come to my house they are welcome to take there shoes off if they wish. Most of them keep them on except for my mother who I think would love to be barefoot all the time. :rose: :rainbow: :peace:

I know it is more sanitary to remove shoes considering all the stuff you walk across during the day (e.g., public bathroom floors), but I hate walking through the house with no shoes. I do have slippers, well actually flip flops that I wear, but i still wear my shoes all the way to my room to put them on. My husband refuses to take his off, so even i did, his dirty shoe bottoms would remain a problem.
-
I don't wear shoes in my house but it is solely a comfort thing. It doesn't have anything to do with protecting the floors or anything like that.
-
Shoes are not allowed in my house. When I was little, it was the same thing at my mom's house. It just does not seem right to wear shoes in the house when we walk on all types of things out side.
-
I like taking my shoes off when I enter my house. When people visit, they usually keep theirs on.
-
Yes as soon as I get in my room I take off my shoes. During the winter I wear house shoes. Summer time I walk around my house barefoot. I hate wearing house shoes in the summertime.
-
yes but take them off to get comfotable.
-
I am in and out a lot most of the time. If I took my shoes off to come in and on to go out, I'd be spending a good part of my time just doing shoes. I would never ask guests to take off their shoes.
-
I would rather not wear shoes in the house, but sometimes I have too as I am in and out for the most of the day working in the yard and such. When I was single living in my apartment, as soon as I hit the door off went the shoes, then the bra and by the time I got to my bedroom I was ready to be really comfortable. The shoes were heels. But I quit wearing them after my car wrecks 2 in 3 months both time creamed by someone running the lights. Even then the tennis shoes wear kicked off.
-
We who live here don't wear shoes in the house. I wear bedroom slippers, that I only wear in the house. when I ask my other family members to remove their shoes they look at me weird.
-
Once I'm inside the house I take off my shoes and put on my comfortable bedroom slippers. If I have company I leave my shoes on. :)
-
Most of the time I take them off when I get home. Mostly because I work at a restaurant and food and grease gets stuck on the bottom of my shoes. Don't want to track it in the house.
-
Why does grilling change the rule ??? I go barefoot or wear sox around the house.
-
We do but we take them off inside!
-
We have the same rule for the most part as well. The funny thing about it is; the one who made up the rule (My husband) doesn't follow it. The kids and I prefer walking around in socks or barefoot. Although w/hardwood floors in Illinois I chill so easily I'll wear house shoes. I've had surgery on one foot so I should wear shoes all the time. It's rare that I have 2 pair of the suggested pair of shoe to have an indoor and outdoor set.

Try to keep them off when I go to other's houses

Shoes off as soon as I enter and walk either barefoot or in socks.
-

-
I wear my shoes or slippers all the time in my house.
I have cold feet and am very uncomfortable with bare feet.
I carry my slippers with me when I visit so I can take off my shoes at their door, and then I put on my slippers.
-
Yes I take off my shoes, I have inside shoes or slippers too that are like you said way more comfortable.
-
Always wear something on your feet: Socks, sleepers or flip-flops...for you do not know all the germs that hide on your carpet or floor.
-
I do sometime take them off .But when I do they get cold :peace:so I don't do it unless I have a firer to keep them warm.
-
I keep them inside too, but you can still get creepy crawlers inside too, it's always a good idea to shake your shoes out before you put them on.
-
I try to keep my shoes out of the house but my partner doesn't i like keeping my floors clean but when guest come over its ok as long as they don't bring in mud inside then there will be no more shoes in the house lol# i am a bit of a clean freak and that's o right :silly: :)
-
At home every one take their shoes off and walk barefoot or slippers.
-
I wear shoes inside of the house i dont really care if anyone has an issue with that because they get a rude reception if they gave me any lip about it haha

-
i usually takethem off,,,but sometimes i dont........... :star:

I was raised to not wear shoes in the house. My mother was a clean freak and would have killed us all! Since I see all the dirt, oil, gum, dead bugs, spit, etc. outside, I know why my mother did what she did. No one wears shoes in my house. I will gladly take my shoes off in anyone's house if they ask or I see they have nice, clean flooring.
-
Usually slippers. Majority of the time I wear slippers. However, rarely I will go barefoot. Hardly ever tennis shoes or sneakers unless I'm about to leave or just came back home.
-
I never wear shoes in the house. Usually if I have been outside, I change into my house shoes, never barefoot.
-
yes we take our shoes off at the door have a shoe cubbies and hooks for coats and backpacks for the grandkids they love using them
-
At my house we all wear shoes, but I have 2 cousins that they make everybody take off there shoes when they enter the house.
-
No shoes in the house. Bare foot or with slippers around the house. I just don't feel comfortable bringing the outside shoes in the house. But we usually let our guests do what they want. Some take it if and some do not.
-
No, I never where shoes in the house. I don't want to get the floor dirty and I want to feel comfortable.
-
When I come home from work I have my shoes off. But in a few minutes I take them off. Hope everyone has a good day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe. :)
-
Normally remove upon entering, during summer barefoot majority of time.
-
Usually just wear my socks, or go barefoot.
-
if i'm busy... socks on a carpet...
-
I never wear my shoes inside my house or other people's houses.
-
I do when I get home!
-
I never leave my shoes outside .. but I do like to put my slippers on when I get home from work as I have been on my feet for hours.
-
There are no shoes allowed in the house. However we all have house slippers that everyone has been wearing for a few years now.
-
Once I enter my bedroom my shoes come off and house shoes come on.
-
HaHa. I had a hard enough time getting my 3 guys to fend for themselves when I was sick.
I couldn't even get them to bring in the firewood when they were supposed to, let alone take their shoes off.
I don't know what the youngest or oldest does now that they're married but the middle boy definitely takes his shoes off at his home. He did it even when he lived alone!
-
I take my shoes off when I get home.
-
We typically take ours shoes off in the house. I find shoes uncomfortable anyway.
-
Usually take our shoes off in our side room and just wear socks around the house.
