Do you go to a salon or do you do your own hair? I go to the salon to have my hair cut but I have been coloring my own hair for the past few years.

I color my own hair but have it cut in a salon

I also do my own color and go to salon for a haircut but trim my bangs in between appointments

I only go to the hair salon to get my hair cut. I have been coloring my hair for several years, but I always do it myself.

I do my own hair because I'm not too worried about my hair style. I'll keep my roots strong though.

I go to get my hair fixed once a week. I am 75 years old and still have to work, so I treat myself. Hope everyone has a good day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe. :)

My sister went to cosmetology school so she has dyed my hair for me and it is better to do with the bowl then with the bottle out of a box. I just recently went for a big change and cut my hair and dyed it to something with a little more style to it and I love it. I'll have to keep it up for a while but that's ok with me then I'll go back to something a little more simple.

Since I lost my last job, I have been cutting my hair (fairly disastrous, but passable) and not coloring anymore. I don't know how long I can last being so natural! :o

Salons are way too expensive and even if you go to the hair cuttery it isn’t that cheap. I’ve got friends who do both, go to a regular fancy salon and the hair cuttery. They both wind up with the same horror story. The beautician gets so familiar with them that the beautician starts doing their own style/color rather than what my friends want. Even my mother had that problem and the woman that did her hair she was friends with for decades. So rather than risk winding up with an unhappy look, I style and color my own hair. I don’t really do anything fancy anyway but I’d rather be the one to mess up my own hair rather than pay to have someone else do it.

I do going to salon to do hair cut and I try to fix my hair myself daily.

I have actually never colored my hair. But I do go to the salon to get it cut.

I do my own hair 95% of the time. It's not only cost effective, but I don't have to sit in a salon for hours on end.

I go to the salon every 4-5 weeks to have my hair cut and colored. I used to color my own hair, but with disastrous results.

Save $$$$$ and do your own hair if you can.

My daughter talked me into using her hairdresser, and now both my husband and I go to her. She works on many country music stars in Nashville, and she knows what she is doing!! I only go twice a year for my cuts and color, but feel like it's worth the extra expense.

I dont go to an expensive salon but i do go there to get my hair cut. I haven't colored my hair for years. The last time I did, it was at home.

I can't recall the last time I went to a Salon or barbershop, I've been cutting my own hair for a while now.

Both. I trim my own but will go have my hairdresser straighten it up every few months. :)

I color and trim my hair at home .. simple to cut when I am only trimming off the dead ends.

I try to go to a salon when I have extra money. It is tough to do my own hair.

I got to the salon to have my hair cut and once in awhile colored for a treat but most of time I do have my daughter color it for me loads cheaper and I like saving money

I color at home. For anyone coloring, natural based products are far less damaging on your hair. I've used both Naturtint and Herbatint and it didn't dry out my hair as much. It also helps to use natural shampoo and conditioner, but specifically for color treated hair. I couldn't afford to go out and get mine colored or cut if I wanted to! I do it at home. Bangs are always a pain in the behind to trim, though... :-X
