Title: Dental Issues Covered by Health Insurance
Post by: JaniceSW on June 06, 2016, 06:36:04 am
After undergoing two plus years of dental issues which included surgeries and MUCHO out-of-pocket expense, I am certainly puzzled as to why dental problems are not considered a health issue.  If insurance regulators and others in such positions were to go a full month without teeth or with major dental issues that needed complex care, they certainly would include dental under regular health insurance.  The affect of dental problems is far reaching...eating, speech, and self concept.  Talk to anybody who has gone without teeth, only partial teeth, or had cosmetic or pain issues regarding their teeth, and they would be able to explain how important teeth are to our overall health and well-being!!!!

I think dental health should be included in regular health care also.

Dental issues is money falling from Dentist. My Dentist had to remove a crown because of decay under it.  They then asked if I wanted a flipper. I had no idea what it was and it cost me $500 bucks and I can't chew with it while in my mouth.  What a rip off.

I don't understand why dental procedures are not covered.  They are health issues if you let them go.

I'm in my 60's and I have had 3 different insurance policies for dental. I don't think any of them were that great. Sad that dental insurance does not pay better !!

Get "free basic dental services" at Google: "Mission of Mercy" or contact your local American Dental Association. It is that simple!
