We get fairs around here, but it seems like they're pretty much just in nearby towns and not ours. Actually, there's one coming up later this month through the beginning of October and I really want to go. I can't remember when the last time was that I did anything like that.

I loved going to the fair when I was younger but I haven't been in years and that isn't likely to change anytime soon.  Maybe if I have kids one day.

Our fair was here last week.  It's funny, as kids we went on the rides, as teens we tried to win the prizes at different stands, as we got older we just eat our way through!

I like both but I would say carnival the best maybe - but I can't go to either one because of health and mobility issues - I would have to be able to have one of those electric carts.  I miss going to stuff like that like I did when my kids were growing up.  Oh well I just make the best of life no matter what it brings.

The small county fair is coming up this weekend just up the road from where I live. We've never been, so my hubby and I were discussing going to see what they have. Then the big state fair starts at the end of this month, and I dunno if we're going this year. Usually we go if there's a band playing that we both like and we'll spend the day walking around and trying food samples, but there's no one this year worth going to see for either of us.

I can't remember the last time I was at either one. I suppose they both have their draws. I'd probably have more fun at carnival's if I were younger.

I enjoy them too.

The rides, the food, then exhibits.

Excellent way to spend an evening.

I've been to my state fair a handful of times, but last time I decided would be the last. It's way too expensive and the quality of the food and entertainment way too low. Too bad, because I looked forward to the seasonal activity of it.

I love a state fair!  Carnivals are mainly "rides", which I don't much care for!

I like fairs and carnivals, but they do not have them where I like. We do have a festival that is coming up in October. We are going to go for my son's birthday. They will have train rides, hay rides, pony rides, games, music and food. I am looking forward to going.

I enjoy the carnivals for the rides and the fairs are sometimes fun depending on what it celebrates

I like both.  But don't go a lot of rides.  But I go to the fairs more, because carnivals don't have much at our locations.

Have to say fairs because there is more variety and kids are grown now so not interested in the carnivals.  Really don't trust the rides at the carnivals

I went to a crappy carnival this past weekend. I'd much prefer holiday fairs that usually pop up around here. Usually more rides and more people arrive.
