As someone who is a fan of the original Macgyver series, I'm looking forward to the new Macgyver series coming out on CBS. Anyone else gonna tune in?

I really liked the original show.I 'm very interested to see how the one compares.
The remakes are't usually as good but I will keep an open mind. :rainbow: :rose: :wave:

oh cool! i used to love that old show.. what he could do with a paperclip, a tshirt and a rubberband lol ;)

I never watched the old shows but I have heard so much about them over the years. I might check it out sometime.

I'll watch it but looks different from original

It'll be interesting to see if they modernize the show.... Eg have MacGyver do some trick with a paperclip and his smart phone.

I want to like it, since Mcgyver is one of my favorite shows ever, Murduk, my favorite villain in the history of TV.
I just hope they don't have him using guns, since the original series had a special show dedicated to this very topic, of why he hated guns.
If not I have the complete first series on dvd. Love this show. And I hope they do justice to Dana's role, he was going blind during the making of Mcgyver

Are studios no longer capable of churning out anything but stale remakes of great old(er) TV shows or comic book movies/TV series? ??? I'm sick to death of superheroes and half-baked remakes! ::)

The previews don't look too exciting.
Never shows him using his duct tape....that is too bad. I think this generation of viewers might get a kick out of that.
Many shows/movies etc that are to bring back a classic never meet the mark.

I do wonder !!! I jumped out of my chair when I saw this. I did try to watch the old one! Is just old. But I love Richard Dean Anderson... Can I get a high five. Lets the world be full of apples and stings to unlock this trap I am in!

I'm curious about this one since I did like the old show.

I loved the old McGyver but I'm sick of the same recycled stuff Hollywood is putting out. It's like they have no creativity and can't think of anything different to make.

I finally checked out the new show. Gotta say I'm kinda disappointed. The guy playing Mac, Lucas Til, was really good, but the rest of the cast bares no resemblance to the original. It was decent enough as a fairly generic action show, otherwise.

I caught one episode and it seemed pretty good, will have to watch a couple of times I think t get into it.

I'm still catching up on the episodes. Just saw the one with the new Murdoc. I actually enjoyed the episode a lot. They had a showdown in an auto junkyard as sort of a tribute to Murdoc's original debut episode!

I didnt know new the new series is coming out. I really like watching McGyver. I'm looking forward to watching.
