i do my real nails do not grow they are weak as hell they break and split at the top i have been getting my nails done for over 10 years

I would love to but I find it way too expensive to indulge in a pleasure like that.

I do them myself. I've only gotten them done professionally one time and that was like 17 years ago for my cousin's wedding.

I haven't in many many years. I work at a restaurant and found that working with fake nails is very difficult.

I treat myself very often to the nail shop to shape up my nails. I do not wear fake nails.

That's probably one of the few things I can't see myself doing ever.

Yes I get gel once a month.

I do not get my nails done. I wear them short and rarely polish them I don't like how my fingernails feel with the polish on them.
I do keep them neat and trim. I will polish them for special occasions....weddings etc

I just cut my nails myself.

I do them myself and have been for years (gel nails).

No not all the time when I do them myself...but when I go I go to treat myself.

I have not gotten my nails done professionally in a while. I just do them myself so I can save money. I also work in a cafeteria and we are not suppose to wear fake nails or even nail polish. I can't wait to do them for the holidays because I will have the time off from work.

I have never had a manicure or pedicure at a shop.

I will get a manicure maybe a couple times a year. mainly for special occasions like a wedding . if I visit me best friend we will get manicures. :pumpkin: :pumpkin: :peace: :wave:

nope..i have tried the acrylics but they dont stay on my nails..within a week they fall off..and ruined what i did have...so i tend to stay away and just deal with my short nails that dont grow..lol

I get pedicures. But getting my nails done is a waste of money because I wreck them in the garden.

Yes I have started going once per month because of my disabilities I can't do my toe nails and you usually get a break on the manicure with the pedicure so I do that too. Of course because of dishes and more use the nails don't last as long as the pedicure but oh well. I have trouble having the pedicure because of lifting my legs etc but I can't do them myself so I just do the best I can.

No, it seems so expensive and I don't know how long it would last for? ??? It does look glamorous to have your nails done though.

Yes I do, I do not wear gel nails only my natural ones, sometimes I may do them at home myself because it can get to be pricey. Since retiring, I do not get them done as often as I did when I was in the workplace full time.

They have some great false nails now and it great colors. When you put them on you can't tell the difference, but the down side is that they don't last as long, but for the price you can afford to put on another set. It is more of a matter of time and convenience for me. My daughter is small and it is hard to get the time to go and it is cheaper. But I keep my "fake"nails on hand and I can do them anytime within a matter of minutes. They usually say on about a week or so depending on the brand.

I have never had them done, also i never wear fingernail polish, too much crud in them and it is not good for my nails. They grow so fast and i just cut file when they get too long. I am just an old fashioned gal, never wore makeup, twice with finger nail polish. never colore my hair. Yet i have a good attitude about myself. I am happy with me and don't need all the other stuff.

My daughter treated me to a visit to the nail shop, I never went back. They had filed my nails too thin and as soon as I picked up something, they broke on the ends. Never again.

I just started going because I have a wedding next week that I am standing up in and I want them to look nice. I don't usually go though. It does feel good to be pampered though!

No, I do my own nails. I don't want to spend money on it.

No I usually don't go to a shop to get my nails done. I do them myself. It takes me about a half hour to 45 minutes to shape, clean, and paint my nails but I find it fun and relaxing to do when I have the time to do it properly.

No I don't go to a "nail salon". I tried it a few years back and all that did was make my nails weaker - but now that I have stopped, my nails are stronger.

I don't, I color my nails once and awhile!

When I do my nails, I do my own nails. One time for my birthday, my daughter took me to a shop and I had my nails down professionally.

I save the bucks and do my own nails once a week. First I shape the nails with a file and small scissors, then I clean them off with nail polish remover, then put down a coat of clear and two of red and then another clear. All in all it takes about a half hour to do properly.

I love going and getting pedicures while sitting in those massaging chairs. I could just fall asleep. :)

Virtually never. I never have the time or when I want to, money has to go to other things.

personally, I don't see the sense in getting them done.
I do know some ladies who like to.
there is a beauty shop in our building.
some go somewhere in the city.
they've gone to the same place for years.
it's good to have someone you trust.
when she does a good job, you want to remain a customer.

I get my nails at Ace Hardware and they don't need to be done, they come ready to pound in 8).

No, I don't. I don't really do anything with my nails but keep them short.

I've had my nails done once in my life when I got married. I'd love to get my nails done and i'd love to get a pedicure.

No I used to do acylics awhile ago. I don't do my nails anymore...but I'd love to get a pedicure...
