Yes, tomorrow, Saturday, November 5, it will be time to turn your clock BACK when you go to bed if you live in a state that has Daylight Savings. I wish we could just let this whole time thing alone because now it will be dark about 5:30 p.m. before long. I hate that! The evening seems to go on and on until it's time to go to bed. And you can't go to sleep too soon or you'll be up at 3 a.m. if you're anything like me. Then you probably know what it's like in the morning. Dark again. When I worked it was dark going to work and dark after you come home within the hour. If I worked a bit overtime, it was dusk on the drive home. I can't imagine living in Alaska.

Looking forward to it being light in the morning when I am getting ready.

Looking forward to it! always seems like I get extra sleep :D

I would like a permanent end to Daylight Saving Time. What's the use? Clocks are not toys!

Really hate this thing it always messes up my slept routine.
-
Looking forward to the extra hour of sleep :) :) :) :)

I would be happy to kiss it goodbye. I hope we can eventually experience the change where we don't have to mess with our clocks unless we need to change a battery.

I definitely am looking forward to getting an extra hour of sleep. I plan to relax this weekend. and catch up on some RRR!

I hate this time of year! Leave for work when it is dark and come home when it is dark. Not sure what kind of savings this is.

I can't wait for daylight saying time this weekend. It gives me an extra hour to be with my girlfriend.

I don't like it getting dark so early but I agree, it is nice to awake to daylight.
Looking forward to it being light in the morning when I am getting ready.

We were on daylight savings time now back to standard time in spring then spring ahead

Does Daylight Saving Time actually save energy?

I wish that they would leave daylight saving time alone. The Lord made it that way and man should not intefere with the Lord's work. :angel11:

My biological clock takes 2 weeks to settle in on the times. i'm going to hate it this year because of the kittens and mom. They expect to be fed at 9 a.m. sharp. As it is now, they're on the outdoor swing looking in the window hollering at us to get out there and feed them at 8 a.m. but we don't budge! :)
You should see it in the morning when hubby finally does go out to feed them. Four little ones and mom surround him and follow him up to the garage where the food is kept and then back down to their bowls near the house.
I have tamed one now but she's a terror. As soon as you open the door, she flies right in. She loves being in the house. She's so adorable but hubby doesn't want an indoor cat. I do and we've been arguing about it. After all, this is the one he likes the most, too. The runt isn't getting any bigger and the gray and the white face one hang together and both act like they want in and come really close but won't let us touch them.

I really hate it getting dark earlier. Makes it feel like my days are shorter. Time flies by so quickly, this just makes it seem even quicker !!

Daylight saving time again, need to change my alarm clock time.

Standard time and time zones really didn't come into effect until the 1800's. The way we tell time today was developed by man.

No. It just delays daylight.

I really hate when the time changes in the fall. I go to work in the dark and I come home from work in the dark. That is so depressing.

That has nothing to do with the time change.

You electric items will update automatically but don't forget to reset your digital clocks- which if you're anything like me you'll remember once you see the times don't match anymore lol
-
I don't mind falling back, but I'm not fond of springing forward.
-
Well I gained an extra hour I lost in the spring. YeaH. Felt good to sleep 1 hour this morning. Hope everyone has a good day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe. :)

I hear what you're saying. It is eye opening when you realise how early it will be getting dark after school, however it is equally staggering that I have been dropping my oldest son off at the Junior High School while it is still dark. He has to cross the crosswalk to get to the school, there is no lighting at the crosswalk and on a number of occasions cars have had to screech to a halt because they don't see him. I have told my son to keep an extra eye out for speeding cars, but one day an accident is going to happen. I think there should be stop light so that the kids can cross safely.

Would be nice to leave the clock's the same!

Forgot to set my clocks back! UGH!

The only thing more annoying than having to change the clock is the number of people that get daylight savings time mixed up with standard time ;) DST starts in the spring and ends in the fall. I completely understand why so many people get confused, though; I actually was mistaken during my school-years as it made more sense that when there was less daylight hours, you'd try to "save" the daylight when people were awake. I actually think that DST should be switched to begin in the Fall (eg Fall Forward) and end in the spring (Spring Back). I think more people are awake at 5-6pm than 5-6am so it would make more sense to have sunset at around that time instead of it getting dark by 5pm (and at winter solstice, at 4pm! ) Similarly, in the summer I'd rather it start getting dark around 9pm instead of still being bright outside.
