-
We own our home but I'm ready to downsize but hubby not ready yet. It's always work to do in the house and in the yard.
-
Right now we rent our house but we do plan on buying a home in the future.
-
I own but the mortgage is more than I can handle.
-
I rent.

own a house
-
We own but we are looking for a smaller house as well. A house or condo with one floor would be perfect for us.
-
I own my house outright and my two sons and I are also looking for a bigger house so everyone can spread out and have their own space and privacy for one thing. We want to be in a rural area don't want HOA or to have a house right on top of someone else. We are in a good spot like that now but we definitely need more room.

We own. I have had a mortgage since I was nineteen years old when I bought my first duplex. My wife had always rented so, in order to make her transition to ownership easier, I sold the first duplex in order to put a large down payment on a home that my wife and I had built. By building I figured that she could create anything she wanted. I furrowed my brow when she decided on white carpeting knowing that we were going to get a dog and wanted to have two children. She did not make the same mistake with the second house. I had purchased, fixed up and sold several other duplexes but had one (out of state) that sat vacant/couldn't be sold for several years. Was so happy to finally get rid of that one. I am pretty much down to just one house unless I find a deal that is too good to pass up.

We own, been in this house for 18 years now, I wish we could get a bigger place now that I have grand kids living with us, but it will do for now.
-
We currently rent. We aren't really to settle down and buy a house yet.
-
we on..we owned our 1st house for 32 years and moved into my father in laws house when he passed away..its smaller and more suited for use now..we have owned our current house for 7 years
-
I HAve owned for 29 years now,,,,,,,,,, :star:

We have owned this house for over 40 years and would downsize if I could get my wife to move. She has a big workroom downstairs to put on Stampin Up workshops and loves working in the yard, so I don't think it will be any time soon.

We own bought in 2008 when the crash happened .Bought a foreclsed home at a good price. Now my son and his wife are looking to buy but nothing decent is below 500,000. In Ca that is a 3bd 1 bath house .I suppose because San Fran is 20 minutes away so thats keeping the prices high.

It might have something to do with the horrible storms going on in the rest of the country. I would be looking to move too.

We stay with my Mom. Moved in with her when my Dad got cancer, I quit my job to take care of him. Then when he passed, she asked us to stay so she wouldn't be in the house alone.

We own our house and live on a farm. :)

This is how families were supposed to work. My God bless you.

I'm currently looking to sell this house so I can move back to the town I really want to live in. But everything after this home will be kept as real estate investments to rent out- if everything works out like I plan.

Would be time for a refinance for me. I can always find a place for that low interest money to be put to use.

I own the house I live in. With work sometimes it's a hassle to upkeep but it's better than having a lousy land-lord.
-

I own my house used my inheritance to purchase my mother's house when she passed. We too want a bigger house although some people would not understand that but its two grown sons and me and we need some space of our own with maybe an office and work out room in between everyone's bedroom. I need a pool to try and work out in due to my health issues. We shall see what God has in store.

I rent, but renting is very expensive in america today............

I rent my apartment.

I own my home free and clear now but about as soon as you pay off a mortgage the house seems to start needing about everything. Upkeep can nickle and dime you to death and then sometimes you run into an expense that is "over the top." As I am aging, I am not certain what my best option is as far as keeping my home, renting an apartment, buying a condo, or what. I am starting to look at all options as I am not sure that staying in my house over the long term is my best decision.
-
I'm proud to say I own my house with the mortgage paid off since 2010!
-
That's dynamite maybe you should open a bed and breakfast to help pay for it :highfive: 8)
-
I rent right now, but would like to own my own place one day.
-
I now rent and have a roommate. I save quite a bit by splitting utilities. The downside is privacy.

Here's how I purchased my 5 bedroom home paid in full at 32 years old:
1.I read Rich Dad Poor Dad and Write it Down Make it Happen.
2.I studied my finances to see where I was spending unnecessary money that could be saved.
3.As a result of step 2, I moved to a tiny apartment for 3 years and saved the difference among other lifestyle changes- which for some of you may include using your income taxes to buy a cash car you might not want to deduct the car note from your monthly expenses. I know these changes are uncomfortable, but sacrifice now to thrive later.
4.In addition to saving as much as possible, I created more streams of income (by selling stuff on ebay, requesting child support from my ex husband, writing and selling ebooks, researching available local resources, and so on). One of the resources I found was a home buying grant class that awarded me $10K that I unfortunately couldn't use bc it was only applicable to homes purchased through the bank and not paid in full : ( but it was a great learning experience.
5.I searched homes in my desired town to learn what I could afford to determine my savings goal.
6.When the time came to buy I was still $2K short, I borrowed this from my baby sister. You may also contact churches and assistance organizations if you're not comfortable borrowing from friends and family.
Now, less than 2 years later, I'm in the process of upgrading to a better home. I continued saving, including depositing what I use to spend on rent. 2 years from now I plan to buy my first set of real estate income- wish me luck!
Hope this helps someone!

We own a condo, which is a nice size because it is one of the older developments in our community and therefore the rooms are much larger then you will find in the newer developments; we have patio with storage on the patio so it works for us.
