We will put the outside lights up this weekend (weather permitting) and start decorating the inside and putting the trees up.
-
I took this week off and was tasked with putting the exterior house lights up today. Unfortunately, as is prone to happen in Colorado, we are getting hit with a surprise snow storm so light placement has been called off for the day. It is supposed to be in the sixties and seventies for the rest of the week so I will, most likely, put them up tomorrow or Friday. I think we will aim at picking up a nine foot tree tomorrow and a live tree on Sunday with the goal of decorating them both on Sunday evening. Decorating the inside trees general involves a bottle of wine (or two) and I have off Monday as well. I have off the last two weeks of the year as well and am aiming to have all of the Christmas decorations down by January second.
-
I will start on Friday, and if the weather permits I will decorate the outside of the house too. I do like to keep everything up until January 6 and then I start taking down. The only things I might take down before that day if outside if the weather is nice and I get the time
-
I start decorating inside the day after Thanksgiving. I don't decorate outside any more.
-
When I use to put up a lot of decorations, I would start putting the up the weekend after Thanksgiving. Now I not at my house at Christmas so I only put up a few things.
-
I will try my best this Friday or over the weekend since I have a long weekend before I go back to work. Happy tree trimming to all! :)
-
after turkey day is over
-
We usually start every December 1, buying a real tree and decorate it.
-
I like to put my Christmas tree up just before thanksgiving so that my house is nicely decorated for any visitors that we might have. But when I don't have time, I'll put it up as soon as we've tidied away from the thankgiving festivities. One year I put my Christmas tree up so early, I felt like I'd missed something part way through December - Like hosting a dinner party without the actual dinner! I like to have a Christmas movie on while I'm putting up the tree - it makes for a more festive household.
-
We started the outdoor decorating this week, mainly because it has been so nice out and the weather is going to get colder this weekend. We won't turn them on till after Thanksgiving but getting them up takes a while so it just worked out better this year to get a head start. Inside will wait another week or so. Major cleaning has to be done before I start indoors. I love decorating.
-
We usually start decorating after Thanksgiving. This year I think we are only putting up the tree.
-
the day after thanks giving we put all the decorations and the tree and lights and do the roof and yard
-
After Thanksgiving!
-
I usually put out all my small decorations the week after Thanksgiving -- the table, fire place, the stair banisters, but we do not put up the tree till about 2 weeks before Christmas --- I do not do as much decorations as I did when I was younger -- I have not put up my outside lights in 2 years -- might change that this year.
-
Usually we get out real tree two weeks before Christmas and that's when we do all of our decorations
-
the week after Thanksgiving.
-
We decorate for Christmas right after Thanksgiving.
-
We decorate when we find the time. I prefer after Thanksgiving, but if one of the kids wants to tackle bringing up the big tree box, I am ok with that!!
Our daughter put the tree up yesterday; today I had the 2 year old grandson "help" me string the lights.
there is still some discussion going on as to which decoration style we are going to do this year.
All red and gold glass *bleep* or the Hallmark ornaments I got each kid over the years.....
-
I do the start in Dec. Have been thinking about it. :angel11:
-
I don't decorate for Christmas anymore I used to years ago.
-
We will probably start decorating next weekend. We have to drag the stuff out of the attic first!
-
After the 1st of December
-
November 1st
-
Usually the last week before Christmas. That way we can save on our electrical bill. I don't really decorate outside the house except to put up the Christmas tree and lights easier to clean up after the holidays too.
-
No sorry don't worship pagan holidays! No Christmas for me. I don't even understand it!
-
2 weeks before christmas
-
I put my decorations and tree up on the 22nd, I like to have the house festive for Thanksgiving dinner and guests.
Today I put my tree up in my bedroom :)
-
I only put candles in all the windows and I will start around Dec. 1 after I dig them out. I no longer do anything outside.
-
I guess we will be doing that in a week or two. I am not really a Christmas person when it comes down to it.
-

You are wise for not celebrating it.Its tough in this world even when you know its pagan to still NOT be drawn into it...but consider.......
12/25...the date is NOT even mentioned in bible.Yet we know every year the date of Passover. The day Jesus was killed and that he told us to remember. In 2017 it falls on 4/11 after sundown.
Even the Encyclopedia Britanica will give you support of 12/25 being a pagan holiday that is NOT supported biblically.
The bible also says shepards were out with their flocks when the angel announced Jesus birth. On 12/25 in Bethlehem it is a cold rainy season and shepards would not be out then.
Thank you!

I usually start Friday after Thanksgiving because we have several parties over the month of December. My husband had knee replacement surgery 3 weeks ago, so probably no outside lights this year. I don't know when I will get help to get them down from the attic, but I am just going to go with the flow this year. If it happens or not we will still have a great holiday season.
-
For the past 2 years, I have not been putting up decoration at all. We will start this year's decoration the week after thanksgiving.
-
We usually decorate our Christmas 2 weeks before Christmas. We only decorate inside so we don't have to be hurry.
-
We have no set time to put up decorations at our house. We just celebrated our Thanksgiving yesterday, so I guess I'm a little behind. Ideally, I would already have my tree up, so hopefully, sometime this week I will get around to it. I did go ahead and put a wreath on my door, but that's all I've done so far.
-
I put stuff up the day after Thanksgiving.
-
the weekend after Thanksgiving if the weather is nice. But I think we are going to have a wet weekend this weekend so hoping I can get some more done before the rain
-
We just finished over this past weekend.
-
The tree ia already up. Daughter and my wife put it up.
-
Usually start about 3 weeks before Christmas and then put it all away New Years day.
-
I usually start the Thanksgiving weekend, weather permitting. This year I am late had visitors from out of town and could not start. I already put the tree up, but the outside is going to have to wait til Monday, since this weekend I need to go out of town myself for my nephew's wedding.
-
Today--- LOL It's my first day off since Thanksgiving.
-
Pre-Thanksgiving.
I do all the garland on banisters... it takes a few days, but looks wonderful for Thanksgiving guests :)
-
I don't start until maybe two weeks before Christmas. I do have a wreath on the door.
-
I have not stared and don't
I know when I will get started or if I will. '
-
I start decorating for Christmas after Thanksgiving.
-
I don't.
Bah.
-
I don't decorate but not because I don't want to. I don't have any decorations yet, but I plan to get some before next Christmas.
-
I personally do not decorate for Christmas (I almost always go on vacation during the holiday). But I observed some of my neighbors putting up decorations as early as Black Friday.
-
We did all a couple of days ago
-
Hopefully very soon. I can't wait.
-
We don't really decorate for Christmas. It's probably a good idea so we don't lose our minds.
-
I don't decorate or put up any lights outside. All I do with it inside is put up my tree and I'll do that in the next few days.
-
My Husband put up the top two tiers of our tree and decorated it last night. He had to put it in our bedroom because it is too irresistible for our cats to climb into. Our tree is so big that the top two tiers are nearly 5 ft tall together, hence the missing bottom three tiers due to ceiling height. :snowman:
-
I am going to start tonight, 12/2/16 when I get home from work. Order some dinner for my son and I, play a little Christmas music on my Echo and it will be a fun filled night of decorating. Can't wait for my light shower to arrive in the mail so I can set them up outside for the pretty lights to shine on my house! :)
-
usually right after thanksgiving or whenever the mood hits...so far we have the tree and a few outside lights up..probably all we will do this year..no kids and our neighborhood has no kids in it
-
noty untill around the 5th,,,,,,,,,,,, :snowman: :snowman:

Literally the day after Thanksgiving ;D
-

-
I start decorating right after thanksgiving holiday
-
I don't put up decorations anymore. Sometimes I may put a little something, then think about the time it will take to put it away. It's not fun anymore.
-
we usually have our tree up a few days before thanksgiving. this year I'm slow though, haven't gotten the first decoration on yet!
-
I put my decorations up the day after Thanksgiving.
-
I still have to get up my Christmas tree and maybe will be able to do it before I go back to work tomorrow. :D
-
I'm done, love to decorate
-
I put my tree up three days ago (on Dec 7th).
-
I start decorating when it start getting dark early like at 6pm so the lights can light up outside
-
I uselly get tree up day after Thanks giving. But I was sick and just got it up last week.
-
I think most people start the last week of November and Beginning of December. But that's most people. I still haven't put up any decorations outside except for my Christmas tree which is not fully lit up. I have some lights on and some lights not fully on.
-
not sure if I already posted here, but in case not :)
2-3 days before Thanksgiving, so the house looks festive for Thanksgiving dinner
-
Either the night of Thanksgiving or my first day off after Thanksgiving. Not before -- Ever.
-
We put up the chrismas tree and all the decorations around the house the day after thanksgiving. :turkey: :snowman:
-
Not able to this year because of a car accident and surgery. I had put up a small table top tree just after :turkey: day, so that is all that got done. Didnt even send christmas cards. :(
-
My usual rule is to decorate once thanksgiving passes. Not that day or anything, but soon after. I like to get through one holiday before starting another. I dont do much outside. Usually just hang a wreath on the door.
I wish it would snow so i could build a :snowman:
-
We don't do much decorating on the house but put some lights up a couple weeks ago. We got our tree a week ago though
