Title: Using FC in another country.. can I do that?
Post by: Jayce2013 on March 05, 2017, 07:25:13 pm
I will have to go to Italy for a month... I don't know how many surveys I will be able to access from there... but my biggest concern is:

I don't remember the rules... can I use FusionCash abroad? From my computer, but obviously from a different IP (country).

I really don't remember... I don't want to be banned for doing something I am not supposed to do.
Thank you to whoever can help!

Users must log in and use FusionCash on their own personal computer and internet connection only. The use of a FusionCash account on a public or shared computer, or public internet connection is grounds for disqualification. You may not access your FusionCash account on the same computer or internet connection as your referrer, referral, or any other FusionCash user. Violation of this term may be considered grounds for disqualification of any and all users involved.

It says "public" internet though...  and does not say anything about using another IP (compred to the one that I always use), another private one, not public nor shared.... hmm....  :glasses-nerdy: ??? ??? ???

The simple solution is to leave a computer running at home with Remote Access and sign on from anywhere that has Internet available just like you were sitting in front of your home computer.

It says only on your personal internet connection. Besides the site is only for members of the US and Canada so a connection from another country would be flagged

Like I said, if you take advantage of technology (like I did from London for two weeks), it's possible to logon from your personal Internet connection every day, just like you were home.

I think you have to be at your location where your internet ip address is. I had that problem once and it revoked a payment for not being at the home ip address.

You obviously missed my point. You do NOT need to be there in person to use your home IP address, if you have a computer running on that IP address that is set up to be controlled remotely.

Always good to know and brush up on a few rules while away.

Oldbuddy, thank you for continuing to share your tricks of the trade with us.  I've seen you mention this before.  I guess I thought it would be too complicated for me to understand, but I have just done a quick search, and I'm definitely interested in trying this.  We are out of town a lot, and it makes it hard to make up the lost time on FC.  Do you have to pay a monthly fee for this access?

I was doing this when I was in Canada a few years ago and my account got locked. When I came back after my visit I conversed with customer service who reinstated my account after an investigation. In short: no, do not access FC from any other IP address other than the one from home. If you do have remote access, then by all means.

On a related question, when you move or require a different IP address how do you let FC know about it?

If you move you're suppose to update your physical address but you don't have to notify of them of different internet usage
