Is this really a fashion no-no this day and age or what?
I personally see nothing wrong with it. What's your opinion?
-
i really don't think that "rule" is even floating
around anymore. i never understood the point
of it, but i'm sure a quick google search would
fix that :P
as far as i know, its dead among other fashion taboos,
like the right ear being pierced on a male "means
your gay."
i pierced ears at my previous job and countless
people (of all ages &genders) would ask, "does it
mean i'm gay if i just get my right one done?"
gah, i'm not even sure if subjecting myself to the
ignorance was worth the trade off a paycheck :bs:

 :thumbsup:I don't think anyone even notices any more!!!
-
I think this is an old wives tale that got started a century ago. I have never paid too much attention to such thoughts. Its ridiculous.
-
I think white works whenever. A great white winter coat can be very chic.
-
On the west coast, people have never followed those rigid rules.
-
I'm pretty sure it's not even a rule we consider highly anymore, if it was a rule at all.
-
???
-
Are you for real?? Wear what you like. I love white clothes and I will wear them anytime anywhere.
-
I hear that all the time. I wear white and so does my daughter. Why should we have to wait around for Spring or Summer to wear white. If we have something that we love in white flaunt it and enjoy it.
-
I love the color white especially in jeans and the right fit. if I could wear white in the winter time I would. Labor day rules for not wearing right, who came up with that the fashion people. Maybe they wear white themselves and just don't want people to know
-
I think "What Not Wear" said that it is okay to wear white after Labor Day. I always have, I have never paid attention what the current fashion rules are. ;D
-
Wear whatever you want I could care less about what other people wear.
-
I thought it was just white shoes?
-
The 'no white after Labour Day' rule is as old as the 'match your purse to your shoes and belt' rule. Nowadays, people stick more to the current trends than the old-school rules.
Personally, I don't give a darn about the rules and trends of fashion, and wear whatever I like. If it fits you properly, feels comfortable, and suits your tastes, who cares what colour it is?
-
Some people are uptight about stuff like that. People need to just "Do Them"
-
If you got it and want to, wear it.
-
Yeah not sure where that originated but it always seemed silly to me.
-
I dont think it matters
-
We all have white. So we all need to just admit it.
-
I don't think it matters anymore either. I personally don't wear too much white. I have a 2 year old and white doesn't go good with a 2 year old.
-
when is labor day...i wear what ever colori want to all year round.
-
??? Are you nuts? Have you ever seen 'winter whites'...white hats, white gloves, white parkas, white pants, white boots! Wear what you like...
what makes you feel good!
-
I still think its just shoes i work in a shoe store and since labor day all of our white shoes have just disappeared they certainly aren't worried about sending any on the truck lol because they haven't come.
-
I think it originated in that darker colors absorb more sunlight heat, so wearing lighter colors when the cold seasons roll around would seem very impractical
