I have been on FC for a year and I actually LOVE this site.... let's say first of all that I have no referrals so all the money I make here are just from the time I spend doing surveys...
Lately though I have been having a hard time reaching the 25cashout.. got a lot of DQ etc...
And than I am asking myself... is it really worth to spend 15-20 minutes on these surveys... to only make 30-40cents at a time??
-
There's always a chance that the survey will actually be shorter or it'll just reroute you to another survey that's shorter and/or pays more.
-
That is true ;) But I am just asking myself.... struggling to reach 25dollars... how many hours does it actually take...
and per day... (unless you get those surveys thay pay 1-3 dollars).... how many hours does it take to make just a few dollars??
:silly: ???

Keep a journal for a week of the time you spend and how much you make. I will tell you that probably it will be discouraging because I know I spend too much time to not even get close to minimum wage.
-
I am retired with nowhere to go and all day to get there, so time is not even a factor for me. It gives me something to do and adds a few more bucks to enjoy my retirement, so why not? As you can see from my banner, it has mostly been a positive experience overall.

I think that you have brought up a truly valid question. I think that if fusion cash were your only source of income you would need to maximize your efforts to make a decent amount of cash and those efforts would have the recruitment of referrals as a key step. The majority of people that I see posting are using fusion cash to supplement their income. I have read posts from people that are running a few different computers with split screens and multiple point to click sites. Old Bud, at the bottom in your threads, indicates that he supplements his retirement income and points to the amount earned over several years. I visit fusion cash every day,and have for the last seven plus years, during down time between two jobs or as I am waiting for large downloads on my computer for my second job. In the previous two instances the extra pennies make sense for the people because they supplement the primary source of income.
-
I am between jobs and have just joined here. I have found that the majority of 20min surveys are not worth it (my opinion) I spend majority of day here and can usually make $3 at least. Thats mostly surveys and a few vids
Its about maximizing time on each chance...15mins per survey(min 30/40¢ per) I really don't bother w others unless I am just bored. I WILL do an OCCASIONAL 20min.
-
Guess it depends on the time you have to spare. If you just watching TV and doing them like I do than it is worth it to me. If you don't have time maybe not but remember you could be DQ and only earn a penny. I check every survey in my account because you never know it may lead you elsewhere

I don't spend hours a day on here and I manage to cashout on multiple sites every month. I would be spending a lot of time on my computer anyway so I might as well take some surveys and earn. I tend to get a lot of product tests and that's because I don't limit what type of surveys I attempt
-
It depends on how much time I have to be on here. Sometimes I'm willing to put time into surveys and other times I'm not.
-
I am retired like Oldbuddy and have plenty of time to visit FC. Once I made up my mind to cash out each month, I have made it happen. However, I tend to agree that 20 minutes for $.40 is discouraging, especially when I usually take more time than stated in the link. I try most of the shorter surveys, usually 1-10 minutes, but if I need the money to stay on schedule for cashing out, I will attempt the bigger paying ones. Right now, RadioLoyalty is "unavailable" and VideoLab has disappeared, so I imagine more surveys will be in my future.
-
That isn't too long for me it all adds up
-
It's a little long for 40 cents, but I would probably do it.
-
I look at it as 40 cents being more than 0. Either I make the 40 cents here or somewhere else but if I don't do the survey or watch the video I don't make anything. It's not a lot but it is more than 0 and that's how you have to look at it unless your option is to do something else for even more money.
-
Funny you should say that because I just completed a 17 minute survey that credited $0.30 . I do it So I can qualify for the paid to click offer :)
-
I think the answer is no, it is not worth it to spend 20-30 minutes on something you only get a few cents for. Often, in the comments section at the end of a survey, I write in that the survey was way too long for the amount of compensation offered. If more of us did that, maybe they would raise the rates a little.
-
I just keep going and I admit it gets harder everyday
-
Yes, all those cents add up, however I have just broken the $11 earned and thats since 2/1 of this year, I get discouraged but other members if they are real members encourage me to continue! Can someone tell me how to start a topic? Thanks

You need to be in the category/folder where you intend to post your new topic: "Offers" "Off-Topic" "Support" "Payments" "Suggestions" etc. and there is a <NEW TOPIC> button just above the list of all the other threads started by other members. Click that button and off you go.

THANK YOU ALL for your great replies... yes I can see that some extra income is good for all of us... I am just wondering, how good it is to spend hours in one day to get maybe just a couple of dollars from this site.
There are other sites out there where you can probably make money faster...
I just wish it was easier here.
One thing I love for sure about FC is the forum... you guys are all great and I love reading you ;)
-
I guess that is how you want to look at it. It is forty cents you did not have that is how I would look at it. If you can make more money some other place, go for it. :moneymouth:
-
I think it's worth it because although it might not be a lot it will eventually add up into your total balance. Plus I always found the surveys with the lowest payouts are the easiest to qualify for
-
The simple answer for me is it's usually not, I try to either go for the shorter surveys or the ones that pay more. It really comes down to what's available though. I'd suggest trying to do topics you're at least somewhat interested when it's on the lower end of the earning spectrum, because then it's not completely tedious.

I agree...I tend to do the ones that are 15mins or less and I make my cash out every month...Mostly on surveys n DQs..."Pennies add up". ;)
-
I struggle to have the motivation to work at it sometimes. When I first joined I was trying everything and now not so much. I guess it is all how you look at it. If you were to have a part time job you would earn more money, but you dont have the flexibility like you do working on the site. I take a break from here for awhile, then I will come back to it.
-
I do not attempt surveys that are under 50c payout unless I really need it for the ptc bonus (which isn't working right now anyway).
For the most part, I have been able to cash out almost every month since I have joined. FC is NOT my only source of income.
-
I don't mind it at all, it is only when you get like 15 mins in and suddenly get DC or such, THAT drives me absolutely nuts.
-
I think it depends on how you value your time. If it's an interesting survey, I enjoy taking it and don't mind how much I get paid. If you think about it, you could have spent those 20 minutes doing nothing or something else and not earning 40 cents. I usually take surveys while watching TV so I feel like I'm being productive instead of just staring at the TV! That said, I usually aim for higher paying surveys then work my way down.
-
I've asked myself that very same question. is it really worth 20 minutes of my time for 40cents.. Well, that depends, if I enjoy that particular survey, yesterday it's worth it. if I'm not enjoying taking the survey, no, because it seems was way longer than 20 minutes.
-

I don't believe 20mins = 40¢ maybe 50¢
The 20mins doesn't take into account prescreening questions, so sometimes it's actually 23/24.
I do primarily surveys(cashed out EVERY month). Doing them you have to calculate the xtra time for prescreen which "they" don't take into account when posting how long each will ACTUALLY take.. (Jst my observation)
-
I really don't mind as long as I get credit, every little add up can cash out soon
-
Keep trying, and never give up.
-
i've run into the dreaded "get to the end after 40+ mins and get DQ on the second to last question" THREE times this week, where i had only had it happen to me once in 2 and a half months prior. I dont know if it's just some bad luck or what but really really annoying. I hope it's not a new trend....
-
The last couple of days have been the same for me. I keep trying though but I guess its more about weighing your options this month.

I was thinking the same thing but I'm not doing anything else might as well be making money and its fun
-
The first thing i do is to make sure to fill the "everyday surveys" like livesample. If you can finish 2 livesample, that is 1.50 ehich is pretty good for a day and you can make more from the videos and other everyday survey
-
Depends on your situation.
-
I weigh what surveys are available and see if I want to spend the time doing it.
-
For me, not any more. I still do surveys, just not as much as I used to. I'm working on business-related things so don't have as much time.
-
Doing surveys daily keeps me occupied and puts a few extra $$$ in my pocket. It's worth it to me.
-
I don't feel like surveys are a good return on your time. They take way too long and may not always pay out.
-
Unless it is a video that I can have play continually on my screen (while I do something else), I think that 20 minutes for 40 cents is a bit excessive.
-
I think every cent count in order to cash out soon
-
In my opinion, I don't think so at all. I lose interest in a lot of the surveys on these sites.
-
No matter how small they all add up toward cash out
-
every cent is worth it!
-
I am the same way. I don't just do any survey. I ask myself if it's worth the time. I do the ones like .50 for 10-15 minutes. Yes, I wait until I see them. I really don't contribute to the 30 minute ones because you know there's always the risk of seeing "Quota exceeded for the day," bummer.
-
8):in-love:*Waves to Old Buddy* I agree on many different aspects here..if you aren't doing this to make money as your main source, there is less of a point in doing a long survey for little funds. But I don't think anyone -has- mentioned that if you have only 1 or 2 days left before your cash out and you -need- that last $.40 then it just became worth much more than that.

It is worth it if you need it to cash out.
