Title: Hobbies?
Post by: sbenkoski on April 27, 2017, 07:29:18 pm
I love to draw and paint, also working with wood, making Christmas wreaths and crafts, really love seeing all the stuff you can do with pallets wish I was able to get out and do that stuff. Never got into knitting I tried once to make a winter scarf and it was a failure, sewing was out as i put a zipper in backwards. Some people are so talented... are you? what do you make ?

I love finding new ways to make money and maintaining the old habits as well. I have been visiting fusion cash (and a few other sites) for over seven years and have yet to spend a cent on anything but more investments. At the beginning of the year I found four new applications for my phone that have really added to my income stream. Monday I was talking with a co-worker and he showed me an application where I can buy stocks without paying a fee. I signed up and purchased a few shares that I would normally have had to wait for because some brokerages have minimum limits in order to buy stocks (brokerage fees look excessive if you are buying smaller amounts). I am supposed to get a free share of stock for having opened an account. While I was looking at the reviews I found another site that does the same and pays a fifty dollar bonus. When I am not working two jobs my hobby gets out of hand!

I don’t consider myself talented. :bad: I used to draw a lot in my early years. As soon I could pick up crayons and pencils as a toddler, the walls were my first canvas. In primary school I would constantly doodle cartoons on scratch paper. I even drew my first comic book when I was in the 5th grade. In middle school, I got more productive in doodling anime characters. In high school I taught myself how to sketch celebrity portraits. In university, I started life drawing, painting in oil/acrylic and experimenting with airbrush. I still have the painting of Glamis Castle in Scotland and the large airbrushed portrait of actress Lauren Bacall from the 40s era in black and white, both of which I’ve turned in for credit as a class assignment and for display at the school art gallery.

My creativity for drawing gradually diminished after I entered the workforce working full-time. For many years I haven’t drawn anything because I got lazy. I still have my old comics I’ve drawn as a kid. When I look back at them with adult eyes down memory lane, I cringed noting how terrible they were. I must say art is a good stress reliever.

I'm in the process of discovering what I like to do. I started making digital designs using a software and my plan is to have my own online store and sell them. So far the process is fun and I'm learning a lot.

What are you saving for ?? I saved for 20 years and the walls came crashing down because of a set of Ice covered steps and now the Dr's have most of my money.

Like most of you I like to do all sorts of things.  I have a room full of projects that I am working on.  unfortunately, I am not spending enough time working on them to finish a project.

I love growing, designing and painting gourds. Hubby does the grunt work of sawing them and cleaning them. I am allergic to the dust. But if i am doing one up that requires extra cleaning i will wear a mask.  I also grow the luffa sponge gourd that we peel and then cut in 2-4 inches and i make soap and put in them. Messy but they are great.  Then i also like to sew and do other projects. Like staying busy.

That's so nifty ..... I've seen some really strange looking gourds do you make bird house with the ever! I had a friend who did!  I grew a giant pumpkin once I think  I was cheated on the seed because at the end of the season, it looked like a orange gourd all my neighbors got a real laugh as i was telling them about the huge pumpkin i was growing.

I am into arts and craft.  I am now in the process of creating a concrete a mini fire pit.  I haven't decided if I am going to paint it or not.  The cement is setting/hardening now.
