I'm in the same boat that my mother doesn't want anything material. The best I can do is to spend time with her and enjoy each other's company. Of course, I still take her out for dinner at least.

Maybe something like a gift basket that you make and put some  of her favorite things in there.

I'm a Mom with three daughters and the best gift is to spend some time with them - one year we went to a wine and tapas bar and another time to an art museum. Sometimes we just go bowling and get pizza and beer!

So, hard to find a gift for someone who has everything! But what my mom likes the most is to show up on mother's day so that's my plan!

I don't get along with my mother either.  :)  But I still give her gifts for her birthday and mother day.  Hope everything turn out good.

i love being able to spend time with my daughters and granddaughters..i will send my mama something or call her..lives in a different city..and lives a very different lifestyle so i dont see her that often...she had rather be with her friends trying to be young..she's almost 70 and parties like she was 20..but thats her choice...i do love my mom..just not the best upbringing with her..some people were never meant to be parents and she was one..she loves us in her own way and really tries but she cant let go of her other life..

Kindness, offering help and genuinely LISTENING to what she has to say.

I lost  my mom back in 1988, and last year lost my sister in March, she was 53, so we did have a mothers day celebration for all of the moms we lost in the immediate family last year on Mothers Day.

Well since my grandmother passed away a few years ago.. I decided the new way i would celebrate mother's day for her is.. make a dish she was well known for and that i liked.. So every year for mother's day i make banana pudding.. (:.. Before that.. i would do diffrent things here and there of course she would get her traditional mother's day card.. but.. the rest usually was handmade.. I think the last year i had with her i got her some ediable arrangements.. She enjoyed it.. I was so happy she likes it (:

My Mom is 62 and is a pretty sick woman so I'm her caretaker. We have a loving relationship, but we fight from time to time. :( I don't even know what to get her for Mother's Day, but I'll figure out something.
