Going with my mom to our cabin at the lake, fishing and swimming. It was the real deal the old hand pump for water, fire place to stay warm, gas lanterns for light, and the old Ice box for keeping stuff cold. And the scary outhouse !!! My Nanny (mom's mom) made pan cakes every morning ! that was 50 years ago man stuff has changed! :(

My father was a electrican and we moved all over this side of the Mississippe river. His job took us everywhere. My brother and I enjoyed living in different places. One year we were in 7 different schools. It did not affect our grades at all. Hope everyone has a good day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.
We always found a Church to go to where ever we lived. My father pulled our trailer to every place we lived. :) :)

I have great memories of my single mother taking us camping every year and to Disney among other places. There were three of us kids and she took us on vacation every year I don't know how she did it but was good with money. Fun times.

My dad's cooking. I remember distinctly grilled pineapple. It's nice.
Then my parents got divorced so I just try and remember the pineapple and the goldfish my mother really loved. It lived for three years. We grew attached.

I have so few memories of my childhood.
Practically none.
Sad. :(
I can't even remember the things I just saw when I watch a movie. People get mad at me but I can't help it. :-[

My favorite was getting to live with Grandma and Grandpa for a whole school year (my first) as my parents lived on a ranch. which was almost 20 miles on a old dirt road just to get to the highway to catch the school bus and then another 30 to town for school. So i got to live with grandparents and loved it. Grandpa was the brakeman for a coal train that went through the village we lived in and all the way to the town where my parents were and they would come in and get me when we had a few days off. What a ride.

Spending time with my grandparents! I loved going to visit and stay with them when I was younger! I miss them everyday!

It's being able to play outside with family and friends. Being able to leave our doors unlocked. Being able to walk alone and not being afraid of being hurt.

Christmas time make cookies with my grandma, mom and sisters. Still carry on the tradition with my sisters, daughters and niece

My favorite memories are from the times our family of 6 went to Cape Cod, MA on vacation every year. We would rent out the apartment at the top of a garage to a home that was right on the beach, and you could fall out of bed in the morning and go right to the beach. All us kids had a blast.

Me and my sister getting a Hello Kitty doll house on HER birthday, lol...They better had! Cause that was my favorite present of all time when I was a child. They KNEW, I was gonna at a fool if I didn't get one as well. One of my Moms fondest memories of me as a child is me being so excited for that house that tore open the package with my teeth like a animal, LOL....

The Valentine's Day when I was 4 yrs old. My dad surprised me by bringing home a tiny chihuahua puppy I had been waiting for.
(We went to a breeder several weeks prior and I got to pick out the one I wanted. I wanted one with white on all four paws and she was the only one that had it. But she was the runt of the litter & the breeder wasn't expecting her to make it. I was told to "choose another".) There was NO other for me. So the breeder had to keep her longer until she was strong enough to go to us.
Every day I kept asking WHEN is she coming home? It seemed so long went by that I began to think she wasn't coming...
I was taking a nap and woke up to her snuggling up against me & squirming around!! It was a day I'll never forget. It was freezing cold outside & my dad brought her home in his coat pocket...she was so tiny.
Had her for 13 years, she was a BIG part of all my best childhood memories.

Playing in the kiddie pool with my brothers when we were little

My sister and I would play with our collection of plastic animals (you know the ones they sell at zoos or in craft and dollar stores). In the basement of our house there was a foam mat with all the letters of the alphabet in different colors and each animal or type of animals had their place that they lived. We played this game for hours on end.

I loved spending time at my grandparents house. I had an aunt who spent time with me painting my fingernails, styling my hair and making paper dolls. My grandma always bought Orange Crush and Oreo cookies before we came so we could have a treat.
Sometimes I even dreamed about running away from home so I could live at my Grandma's house.
