Title: What flowers do you like?

I like all different types of flowers but one of my favorite is sunflower. :rose:

My favorites are hyacinths and lilacs. I just love the smell of them. Every spring, I get whiffs of the neighbors lilacs when the breeze blows and I'll stand there and take it all in. My hyacinths have died because I was unable to take care of them and hubby wouldn't transplant them to real soil. He thinks shale is okay for growing things.  >:(

He received some lilac shoots from the neighbor for our yard and where did he plant them? In garden soil (yay!) but in the shade where nothing grows...he did the same with the rose bushes that were given to us. They were doing okay until the tree grew and shaded them. Last year I had one branch from the rose bush left. I don't see any this year. :(

i am a lilac gal ! i love them ! i tried to grow a bush in my hard but people walk their dogs down my street and don't respect peoples property and let the dogs pee on my lilac and it killed it --i confronted on lady and she said oh i thought it was just a normal tree --sorry ---ugh!! any who i love lilacs

I love the simplicity of a white Calla Lilly. I envision my next home being surrounded in Gardenia shrubs too. My husband likes the delicate orchids that you often see in bathrooms.

I'm not sure if I have a clear favorite visually, but gardenias and jasmine are the prettiest smelling flowers.

Lilacs are my favorite outdoor flowers. The fragrance is absolutely delicious! For indoor flowers, my favorites are orchids.

My favorite flowers are daisies, tulips and roses. My favorite color for a flower is yellow.

I love all flowers, but peonies are my favorite. :heart: :rose:

When we lived in Galveston our apartment complex was a couple of blocks away from a market and I'd walk sometimes passing this memorial field surrounded in Lavender. The smell was breathtaking, but Gulf surrounding the island causes major mosquito infestation. I often spent too much time smelling the lavender as seen by the mosquito bites. I just knew one of them would soon swoop down and carry me off. They were that big and so was there bite or piercing.

Daisies and Hibiscus are my favorite flower.  I also like daffodil, pansies, bleeding hearts, and violets.

Now that's funny. I'll bet most of us didn't know that you found delicate orchids in bathrooms. I never would have thought to look there.  ;)
